This isn't the best Abrams I've been to, but it's still pretty good considering the lack of options in the area. The ribs are really good, and the fried chicken is perfect! Surprisingly I liked the yellow squash. Place gets really busy on Sundays after church lets out. I like that the bathrooms are clean, but they need to do a better job at cleaning the soda machine. read more

My family of 38 had an early Thanksgiving celebration this past weekend which was catered. Abrams did a super job! Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. The meal consisted of generous portions of turkey, dressing, gravy, fried chicken, yams, vegetables, and desert. We were very pleased at how well everything turned out. The fried chicken was especially good with just the right amount of seasoning and breading. The delivery went well with the food hot and well packed. Cathy did an excellent job! We stopped here by accident. My husband thought they had eggs benedict... We found out quickly that wasn't the case. But when I saw what looked like cinnamon buns you couldn't drag me out of there... I got a cheese biscuit and what turned out to be a blueberry biscuit (not cinnamon bun). Oh, they were both so delicious. My husband had eggs and bacon and enjoyed those with a biscuit. The only problem was the place was so dirty. As much as I would like another one of those blueberry biscuits I doubt we will be back. read more

This place never disappoints! Sometimes you have to wait awhile especially in the drive thru but it's worth it. Everything from the fried chicken and mash to the fish and wedges are amazing including the staff. I wasn't sure about the fish the day because some places have fishy fish and it was so fresh and the price was great. I recommend Abrams to anyone. read more

Abrams is a buffet style restaurant featuring Carolina Barbecue and fried chicken. I love that they dish up the buffet so people aren't digging into the food with germs. Very clean. The BBQ is the best in Ahoskie. It's tender and moist but not overly sloppy. The fried chicken is juicy with a crisp well seasoned coating. I eat here about once a week. I keep coming back because of the delicious food, friendly service, and convenient location. read more

I always stop at Abrams in Ahoskie on may way through to FRANKLIN on this stop it looks as if the whole restaurant staff has just started I ordered the usual 4 cheese bisque to go and a plate breakfast 2 fried eggs cheese grits, smoked sausage and country sausage links with coffee when I filled my cup the coffee was clear no coffee taste At all I informed the staff of the problem with the coffee and the only African American girl smartly replied back I made it the way they said and would not even look up afterwards to see the problem I filled my cup with tea and sit down to eat only to find the country sausage was still raw I got up and through my entire plate in the trash I will not ever stop here again anD will not recommend it to anyone. I've eaten in the restaurants in Ahoskie and in Windsor and both places were a hugs disappointment. The food was cold and just generally bad. If they put as much into the restaurant as they do the animals, they might have some decent food. read more

Horrible!! We arrived during transition from breakfast to lunch. Took 25 minutes. Food was disappointing. Ribs looked like they were boiled then baked. Very little flavor. Veggies were bland with no flavor. I felt bad for the two young employees working up front. They were very pleasant and smiling the entire time, very apologetic. The management was disarray, with no clear direction. I will never eat there again! read more

Went here a couple weeks ago. My 1st time in Ahoskie. Went to Abrams for breakfast. The food was great. We had the all you can eat breakfast buffet. Its different from others buffets because you cant get your own food. You have to go to the front and tell them what you want. Im from South Carolina, so I like country cooking. They had grits, eggs, bacon, 3 kinds of sausage including turkey sausage, fat back, biscuits, and more. They had these amazing cheese biscuits that theyre famous for. Big, hot biscuits filled with melted cheddar cheese. The grits had a great flavor, didnt need to add salt. Everything we had that morning was delicious. The price was not bad at all, $7.00 for all you can eat is great. Even though the restaurant is small, and the restrooms are not great, but compared to other places with simliar food like Shoneys, Waffle House, Golden Corral, Abrams has the best food for the best price. Definitely going back if im in Ahoskie again! read more
