Most recently I had to cancel/ reschedule appointments due to my kids at home from Covid exposure and their holidays when the school is closed. Apparently they assume everyone has a sitter when these issues occur. Due to that I received a certified "letter of discharge" from services. I called several times to reschedule and would have appreciated being told about this policy before an abrupt discharge. When I called the receptionist (Keke) she blamed the Dr for the letter and that she "didn't really know what it meant." It was the most unprofessional experience.

The physical therapists are really hit and miss. Some of them are really good and some of them are clearly just going through the motions. It is really hard to schedule with the therapists you want (and they don't tell you when you're first scheduling that you'll have a different person each time.) They send you exercises to do at home, and will eventually update them if you ask. For me a lot of them were not really helpful. Some days it is very quiet and some days they are so busy that they're just running between patients. I would recommend asking for Madison or Jessie when scheduling, they are both really good.

Pretty hard to recommend a business practice that mistakenly loads the full months-long PT schedule…read morefor your recovery, and instructs you that all these are tasks you must perform on the day of surgery and the 2 weeks before your follow-up. When I called repeatedly and questioned that it looked pretty challenging immediately following surgery, and that several of the exercises like sets of "chair sits" on the day of surgery seemed excessive, I was told repeatedly by the PT staff, and the Dr covering for my surgeon, that "everyone complains about PT", and that if I didn't complete my PT, my surgery could be a failure, which I was also informed of at the surgery center the morning of the procedure. As a result of the PT error, I had torn meniscus, scar tissue and cartilage in my knee joint and 11 months of futile PT. I was never offered an acknowledgement of error or an apology.

I had issues with my right knee and received injections for awhile which helped for awhile until it wore down to bone on bone. I decided on a knee replacement. Had a pain issue after the knee replacement and Dr. Castillo was able to give an injection to take away that pain - haven't had any pain in that area since. I also have issues with arthritis and lower back which I receive injections. It helps to control the pain as well as managing pain meds. The doctor and his team are all excellent care givers. Yes, occasionally one has to wait a little longer because the doctor is treating other patients - I understand that he takes the amount of time needed to make sure the procedure is being done right. He gives everyone the time needed to address whatever issues a person is having.

Highly recommended!…read more After a silly fall off a ladder, things went from silly to nightmare quickly! Needing multiple surgeries that could not all be done at once, my ortho surgeon referred me to AZIPC in anticipation of a longer than expected road. This is where I met Dr. N. Seth who was able to buy me some time by performing injections in my back, neck and shoulder along with the correct amount of medication. He even offers stem cell and plasma therapies, neither of which are normally covered under insurance but if you can afford them- Life changing! I have since been passed to Carmen Carrabis FNP-C who is amazing along with her staff Shayna and Yessie to name just a couple. BOTH have gone above and beyond whether it's getting me in unexpectedly, quickly getting preauthorizations or referral support just to name a few. Prior to going here I was warned that those who provide "pain management" can often be condescending and dismissive, however that has NOT been my experience at all! From my perspective everyone has been amazingly compassionate and professional and seems truly interested in my journey and getting me back to pre-fall status. Since the COVID-19 outbreak, Miss Shayna , (who should run the back office if she doesn't already), is the "sterilizer guru"! This being the first building I went into since being in quarantine, after watching her in action with her spray bottle basically attached to her hand if not hanging from her waste, I was immediately put at ease! Sooooo- long review but if you're in need of a respectable, compassionate pain management team, I HIGHLY recommend the North Phoenix office of AZIPC‼ (101/19 Ave/ Beardsley-ish) each office has its own feel and although I am actually closer to the Scottsdale location, for me- it's definitely worth the drive to the North Phoenix location. Good luck on your wellness journey! And remember if you read a Yelp, leave a Yelp and help support ALL businesses big and small stay alive with honest feedback
