Our wool and silk rug was ruined by Abrahams. We took it in for cleaning, which was done satisfactorily. But when we questioned markings on the rug, we were told it was nothing and they would disappear shortly. Since we are non-confrontational type of people, we chose to believe them. Months have passed and the marks are still there. They are obvious and it would appear that there is no way to fix them. The rug needs to be replaced. We cannot recommend their services. read more

We bought a beautiful wool rug late 2016. In Spring of 2017 my husband brought home two male Carin Terrier puppies. We took up the rug as the puppy pin stayed up all the time. Later in the year we put the rug back down and moved the pin out as I "wanted my house back". It didn't take the pups literally seconds to chew out two holes that were very conspicuous. And, because they roughhouse a lot, being brothers, they also peed a couple of times on the rug. Out into the garage it went and I finally got around to calling Abrahams for help. They were phenomenal! The rug got picked up the next morning and I was on the phone agreeing to a deep cleaning & restoration. It was delivered back to us today looking good as new. Jacked up the price of cleaning the rug after we dropped it off and the repair was subpar. We called around to get our wool 9x12 rug cleaned and settled on Abraham's. Bad choice. On the phone they said it would be $350 to get the rug cleaned. That was in line with everyone else we called and they were at a more convenient location. We drop the rug off and verified the price for the cleaning, $350. It was even written down on our invoice/repair ticket, but later we found out that's not all that was written on our invoice/repair ticket. As part of the cleaning they said they could take care of the corner and backing our dog had chewed a little bit. To prove what they could do they showed us a nice repair job they had in store. When we picked up the rug the repair that they performed on our rug was nowhere to the quality of the repair that they had shown as examples. The corner was just rolled over and I'm betting I could've done the same repair on the backing if I had just picked up some fabric at Joannes. While the rug was cpretty clean they were unable to get out a pee stain they promised would be easily gone. Plus the rug wreaked of industrial chemicals. Now the fun part, when they ring up the price of the cleaning it jumped from $350 to $380. I asked why and they said that it was $3.50 a square foot to clean the rug. We go back and forth about how that was never discussed and they constantly said $350 to clean the whole rug and not $3.50 per square foot. With nearly a smile he points to the repair ticket and says that the mostly illegible scribbles behind the $350 says "sqft" and what seemed like a stray mark was now a decimal point. At this point I'm just pissed off and want my $3000 rug back so I pay the tab and leave. Be fore warned, do not use Abraham's Oriental Rugs for any cleaning or repairs. read more

Fantastic selection of modern rugs, and the quality is amazing. We have purchased four rugs from them. We have been really impressed with their service and the time they take with us each time. We have also had some of our old family rugs that we have had for many years and really needed cleaning and some repairs -- thrilled with the work they did and thought it was reasonably priced for the quality. I rarely write reviews, but I thought it was important to put a positive note in because we appreciate Abrahams and word of mouth is already high for these people. Do not be deceived by the super friendliness and original price tags on the rugs. The rug I was looking at had an original price of $22,000 for an Indian rug. The owner reduced it by almost 70% and with further haggling reduced it another $500 Also it was a traded used rug as mentioned by the worker ....The owner explained that the rug was handmade and that I was getting a great deal (deal of the century) which I felt I was. After I left with the rug I researched it online and found the exact same rug for $2000 total, with no tax and shipping fee. . She would not refund me and said that they will give me store credit. I explained that what she had told me was false (Traded USED RUG, worth $22,000+ WITH AN APPRAISAL, etc) but She denied it. Not only did it waste time out of my day but the whole experience caused undue stress and I've lost complete trust of the store. If you do find an item in the store that seems too good to be true research it online and get a comparison before making the purchase. It's not surprising that there are cheats amongst us, and that too Indian owners, who claim to be a long time in the business.... yes a long time cheating us Americans. read more
