I primarily communicated with Kevin, who was exceptional--always quick to respond and patient in answering all my many questions. Kevin and Miguel were very thorough in reviewing the roof damage and kept us updated with photos throughout the entire process. I really appreciated that they used drones to capture before, during, and after shots--it gave us peace of mind knowing exactly what was being done. We chose Calderon Exteriors because of their outstanding customer service, professionalism, and competitive rates, and they truly delivered on every front. The team worked tirelessly to ensure our new roof was installed with care and precision. They also went above and beyond to protect our landscaping and made multiple passes to be sure no debris or nails were left behind. What really impressed me was the follow-up--Kevin even came back a few days later to double-check everything and do another sweep himself. The communication was excellent, pricing and process were completely transparent, and they got us scheduled quickly. They work with you on roof color options and bring samples so you can see exactly what you're getting before committing. Their contracts and invoices are all electronic, which made it simple to review, sign, and save. Payment was flexible as well--they accept cash, check, or credit card. On top of that, they provide a warranty on both labor and shingles, which gave us extra confidence in our investment. If you need a free inspection or assistance with an insurance claim, they are able to guide you through that process. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a roofing company that combines professionalism, quality work, and genuine care for their customers.

Every one was helpful, timely, and answered all my queries about the process and cleanup. Afterward I felt that I made a good choice in choosing this company and their products. I recommend them completely.

Replacing a roof is a major project, not to mention expensive, so it's a good idea to learn as much…read moreas possible about roofing, how roofing companies work, get recommendations, and obtain several bids before making a decision. The roof on my small 1950s bungalow was showing its age and had a few leaks over the years so it needed replacement. I decided early on that I wanted to go with a local company with an established record of quality work and offered a solid warranty. This criteria eliminated a lot of roofers, and I narrowed my choices to three companies that had solid standing in the community. All the companies I contacted had good reputations and recommendations, and the bids came in about the same. But I chose West Michigan Roofing, and recommend you do too. Edward, the Grand Rapids branch manager, did a thorough inspection of my roof and provided an in depth explanation of the process, the how and why of the materials that go under the shingles, installation, the shingles themselves, their crews, and warranty options. He did his homework before our appointment, arriving with overhead photos of my house and identifying areas of concern. It was a lot of information - some might say too much -- but it gave me confidence West Michigan Roofing would do a great job and stand by its work. They also offered a wider choice and quality of shingles than the other companies I contacted. Having a roof torn off and replaced is disruptive in the best of circumstances, but especially when you have a shared driveway as I do. My neighbors report that Dale, the supervisor and the work crew were conscientious and polite (I was at work while they were there). It turned into a two day job as the crew discovered there were three, not two, layers of shingles on the house. Yet the crew cleaned up at the end of the first work day, and when I came home at the end of the second day the only way you'd know they were there, other than the beautiful new roof, was the dumpster in the driveway. They also did a good job of protecting perennials and other plantings in my front yard. It hasn't rained (or snowed--it's June, after all!) since the roof was installed, but I can't imagine that there will be any problems with the roof. And in the unlikely event there are, I know West Michigan Roofing will stand by their work. I encourage you to contact them when you need to replace your roof. You won't be sorry.

TLDR: I wish I had never used Premier Roofing. Nate lied to get my business and communication was…read morepathetic. We bought a home in July 2025 with some known roofing issues. Nate came out to give us a quote, and quickly expanded the scope of what they would "need" to do. The quote was separated into two sections, as per conversation with Nate: (1) need to do before winter to stop leaking and limit damage already incurred, and (2) improvements that we could make in the spring. We agreed to part #1 in October, to include work on the flashing around our chimney, the single most important piece of the work required. Over a month went by and I heard nothing until the third time I reached out for an update, at which point I was assured the work had been done - no photos, no notice they were on my property, the only evidence that they'd been on my property was pieces of scaffolding they left behind in my yard. In January, on my first trip to the home since work had been "done", I was able to see very obviously from the ground the work had not been completed as described. I emailed with photo evidence of internal water damage and flashing clearly protruding, completely unconnected to the chimney. I did not hear back for over a month. When they finally got back to me, they claimed the flashing - the single most important part of the work that I was repeatedly assured would be part of the work completed - was not, in fact, included the $4,000 bill. They provided (finally) photos of other work that had been done. After multiple days of back and forth, I was offered $200 off to apparently make up for being lied to and the internal damage done to my house for them not doing the work they swore up and down they'd do before the winter set in. Thanks for nothing, you clowns.

We worked with Dana who during this part was great. The workers who came to do the actual work were great and worked so hard. They worked on a Saturday. There was some challenges in communicating about finishing the project. The screen door was left untouched. We were told that Premier would be in touch and they were the next week. We were told that they were unsure why the door was not put on. Dana came out and asked for payment which we honored however in hindsight we should have asked to wait to pay the balanced as the work was not completed. We wonder if we had done this if Premier might have worked harder to complete our project!? We received the run around for weeks. Someone came out to put the new door on and found the door missing parts and a part broken. Then it was several more weeks before it was finished all and all from the last day of work until it was completed on 1/9/25. It was nearly eight weeks to complete the project. We were not fully informed of the final time someone came out. Still then it was discovered that there was more work to be done. Again, the quality of work was great. The communication and taking full responsibility was very much lacking. We asked for a new door as that was what we paid for and were given a response about if a part was missing on a car we would not recieve a new car. However, we paid for the new door. Patti D
