Adam has a staff that manages his calendar, and has a disciplined office schedule -- although the office has a relaxed vibe. You will find him barefoot in a Hawaiian shirt at his desk with a collection of glass fish behind him, and after April 15, he'll be in Hawaii for two weeks. He's a great listener, but he manages to keep to our conversation focused on what's important so that we don't ramble ourselves into a gigantic bill. Two thumbs up! Federal law requires anyone assisting with VA claims to be accredited by the Department of Veterans Affairs. We paid $4,200 for assistance, only for them to take our money and hold it for two years with zero progress, zero claims filed, and no communication updates. Services were never performed. We were only able to recover our money after threatening formal legal action, after which they agreed to a three-part refund installment plan. While we did eventually get our full sum back after persistent pressure, no veteran or family should have to endure two years of inaction and legal threats just to get their money back. DO NOT USE this company. Check the official VA Accreditation Search Tool before paying anyone for help with a military claim. I was told by the firm that I didn't need to file. So I was very surprised to receive a letter from. The IRS saying I needed to file immediately. Of course now it was past the deadline. To make a long story a little shorter I will say that I not only needed to file but I owed money back so now I also have a penalty fee. I went back to the office to show them the new bill from the IRS. I was told at the front desk to leave the letter and it would be given to Clay Willits to review. He called and offered to write a letter to get the penalty dismissed but I must provide him with a story as to why I didn't file on time. I told him that the reason I did not file was because his office told me not to. He then asked what was I charged by his office. I told him $75. He began laughing and said that I was practically a charity case and I had already wasted 20 minutes of his valuable time and that we were done. He said goodbye and hung up. Is this how you treat a client after 30 plus years??
