My wife used them to send me birthday flowers at work. She looked online for fun, colorful, festive flowers to make my birthday bright and happy, because it's a "milestone" birthday for me. These were suppose to go with her bright, happy, colorful theme that she and my kids were doing for my birthday. The flowers were delivered late at 3:45pm, just before I left work... My workplace isn't that far from their shop, so getting it to me before the end of the day wouldn't have been difficult. When I got them I called her and said thanks, but I asked why they were all white. She said that she picked out the birthday order online and it should have looked like a bright "birthday cake." Instead, it looked like a boring, white wedding cake... She contacted Abloom and they told her since they saw the order was for a man, they changed the colors and arrangement... based on my gender, as if I wouldn't like bright, colorful, happy flowers. So, that judgement call, I got something stripped down and sad, which you can see in the pictures. They said she can have a discount on the next order, but really, do they think we're going to use them again? read more

I was in Lincoln running errands with a friend. While they went to do some paperwork at one place, I volunteered to go stand in line for them at the SSA. It was just a 3 block walk from where we were, so I decided to walk. On my way, I walked past Abloom and the fragrance of the flowers coming out of the shop literally stopped me in my tracks. I took a few steps backwards and looked in the window and I saw the most beautiful flowers. I couldn't help myself and had to go in. Being that my birthday was just a few days away, I decided to treat myself to a birthday flower. It didn't take long for me to find the absolutely perfect flower, it was a beautifully fuchsia rose that smelled amazing!!!! I was instantly smitten with it and HAD to take it home with me. The staff was super helpful and extremely nice, the person that waited or said the rose would open up even more over the next couple of days and she was right. As beautiful as the flower was, over the next 5 days it opened even more, everyone that saw it said they'd never seen a rose that beautiful before. So if you are in Lincoln or live in Lincoln, skip the grocery store flowers and go to Abloom. I hear if you come after 5pm, the flowers are 1/2 price. read more

Another two stars for an online order from California. Placed an order on Thursday in time for Mothers Day, but when I called my mom on Sunday I learned all was not well. The flowers were delivered on time (Saturday)...check. And the arrangement was nice...check. But many of the flowers were already wilted and dying. There either wasn't enough water in the vase or the flowers weren't pushed all the way into the water. Either way, wilted flowers. For Mothers Day--or any occasion really--I want flowers that arrive on time, match the photo of what I bought online, and are not dead. I got two out of three. I'd order from someone else next time. read more

ONLINE ORDER- Maybe I should have called instead of ordering online... it doesn't seem like I got what I paid for... I wanted to send flowers to my sister. But I live in california... I ordered online because it was more convienant than calling around to find a place... the delivery was fast and ordering was easy. But my sisters favorite color is blue, which is why I chose the vase and flower arrangement I did... when she sent me a picture I was like wtf... no blue... I live in Richmond, VA and wanted to send flowers for my grandmother's 100 birthday in Lincoln, NE. I had been recommended a florist in Lincoln that is apparently out of business and was stuck doing a web search and found Abloom that way. I was a bit wary of doing business with a new store so far from Virginia. I don't know a lot about flowers, but was told that my grandmother could see yellow best of all of the colors. I called Abloom and told the person who answered the phone what I wanted and paid for the flowers, with instructions to have them delivered on Friday. Today (Friday) my mother texted me a picture of the flower arrangement, which was beautiful. The flowers arrived when I wanted them too and my grandmother loved them. I asked a worker to put together a bouquet for Valentine's Day and it turned out terrible. The vase was short and ugly and the flowers looked like they'd been cut way too short. There were only a couple of actual flowers in the bouquet as well. It cost way too much for something that looks like a 5 year old made. read more

I've sent through this florist and have been lucky enough to be the recipient of flowers through Abloom on a few occasions. It is a bit pricey, but the arrangements are so beautiful and unique. Even the delivery people make you feel extra special with their kindness. They have even had to track me down a couple times which they do with a smile and without charging or complaining. First let me say that with any service orientated business, who serves you is paramount. All employees are not the same anywhere you go. That stated, I have never been let down by Abloom. They do have several designers on staff, all with their own flair. Abloom is known for being more modern, exotic, and unique but they also do traditional and simple (think grocery/drugstore). Some designers are better than others but the flowers I have given my wife have always looked good and been delivered timely. I usually only ask for something with roses included and let them do a "designers choice". The cost is the same as any 'florist' I have used in the past, maybe slightly more, but you get what you pay for, as the saying goes. They have a well earned reputation and have been around since the mid 90's, I think. That says something. A really nice, friendly, knowledgable, and cute shop in the heart of downtown Lincoln. It does smell fragrant whenever I stop by. Thanks and keep up the good work! read more
