I had them come out to my business late last night being a 24-hour locksmith to fix the front door of my Lodge when he did the work he charged me $280 and said it was fixed well it wasn't now he took a part home last night only to tell me it'll be another $300 to fix it. How is this even a business? We called because we were locked out of our apartment at 8 PM on a Wednesday. We called and the guy who picked up barely grunted hello, just said the word, locksmith. I said we were locked out and needed a locksmith, and asked what were the prices for him to come. He hung up on me immediately so I called back, same answer, "locksmith." So I asked the same question and he said make me an offer, I said I have no idea what your prices are but if you want me to give you a number how about $50? He said I was crazy and to call other people, then call him back. I asked if he even wanted my business and he literally just said no. He then set an appointment for Sunday afternoon. The work was completed in a timely and professional manner. We were exceptionally pleased with the service which was provided. If there were negative stars it would be more appropriate. My mother locked herself out of her townhome on Easter morning. My mother is in her late 70's and lives alone. Micah came by to open her front door and allow my Mom to get her keys. The entire job took around 5 minutes. He checked to make sure that her keys worked for the lock and the deadbolt. My Mom thanked him for the work and then asked how much it would be. Micah responded with $6,800 - to which my Mother told him that was crazy. She effectively had to barter with him until she got him down to $240 for around 10 minutes of his time. This business is a scam and should be avoided at all costs. Micah completely tried to take advantage of an elderly woman, thinking that he could exploit the situation. My mother felt both threatened and taken advantage of. We will be reporting this to the Better Business Bureau and have also reported this to the Police. This business is borderline criminal. read more

Yesterday my car was totaled when I was rear ended on my way to my sister's baby shower. I came home at midnight to realize I lost my house keys. I called several hotels in my area and they were all booked due to a concert. I called almost all the locksmiths in my area and although they all said 24/7 service the only person that picked up was Micah from Able Locksmiths. Micah showed up in less than 20 minutes and it only took him 5 minutes to unlock my door with zero damage. He was efficient, polite, and professional. Thank you Micah. I read the 1-star reviews, and I wonder if they were meant for a different company and posted to Able Locksmiths by mistake. My business contacted Micah, the owner of Able Locksmiths, to replace 3 door locks on my various building entrances. Micah was personable, competent, and efficient. He replaced all 3 locks, and he ensured that they all functioned properly and could be opened with the same key, as I had requested. Micah provided me with 10 keys for all of my employees, and he charged a fair fee (if not, he undercharged me). I'm very pleased with the work that Able Locksmiths provided! read more

I was locked out of my house on a Saturday morning. Able Locksmith came within 15 mins and took less than 10 mins to gain entry. What shocked me was the price. $350 for check or $300 for cash. I called other locksmiths in the Manchester, NH area and for the same service during off-hours, their fee was $100. I contacted Able Locksmith to request a partial refund and he was not very pleasant and did not help me out. Would NOT recommend. read more

The technician attempted to charge $275 for their work, and refused to provide an estimate up front (claiming that "it varies"). Well, upon further investigation, it really doesn't vary that much. He worked for two seconds, and the lock was undone (I do commend his work). In his self defense, he showed me a check from another person that he had unlocked for $245. I'm not sure that gouging two people makes it any better. Lesson learned - if you want to use these guys, negotiate the cost up front, or be prepared to pay a huge amount. Alternatively, join AAA for $30 / 50, and get the car unlocked for free. Otherwise, these guys assess the situation and charge accordingly. read more

Nighmare!! Avoid!!! Overpriced, and tells you, "let me know if there are any problems". After 3 spins of the lock, that doesn't work, he aggressively says he is going to charge another fee and can't guarantee the work. And then he blames the 17 year old lock as "old". Miserable!!! read more

Well, as far as locksmiths go, you can't get any nicer then him, on multiple times I have seen the same bright white guy with glasses, in his toyota pickup truck with plate number 1089337, pull over and give "rides" or go on "dates" with the local foot traffic hookers on my block.
