During the course of my treatment here, I have been seen by Tova, Scott, Megan, Gabe and Gabby. All are very knowledgeable and friendly. They look that the patients chart to ensure there continuity of the workouts and stretches. I also like how there's some additional stretches and workout provided from time to time. I tried to follow the routines and committed myself to come here at least three times and week for the first month and then twice a week in the subsequent months as my pain gradually subsided and my shoulder's range of motion improved. I figured, before I jump back into the gym, I need to start slow. Plus, the past few weeks I started getting lower backaches a lot for some reason. I chose Kessler because of their late hours. Most places close at 7pm, but Kessler is open until 8pm. Last nite was my first session with Allison and wow, she is amazing!!!! She evaluated me and then we started off with about 5 stretching exercises. She also massaged my lower back which felt amazing. I kid you not, when I left there, my back felt AH-mazing. The facility is great; it is big, nice and clean with lots of different equipment. It's easy to make appointments, even for the same week. I have never had to wait for my appointment and was seen right at my appointment time each time that I have been there. Everyone in the office is very friendly and professional. Alex, the physical therapist, is wonderful and definitely knows what he's doing. He did a very thorough job on the first visit and I felt like I was in good hands from that moment on. Both the doctor and the nurse explained each test they ran and went through all the procedures thoroughly for me. I felt like I was being taken care of rather than pushed through like most clinics I've been to. Also, the office is very clean but a little old. It's not state of the art or anything. It's located at the JFK Hospital but it's tucked away into the woods in the back. It's in Parking lot G, but there is no sign for G. Instead, follow H (leads you into "Family Practice"), which will take you to Occupational Health Services. I had to drive 30 minutes to this place so I'm glad it was worthwhile.

I then returned a week later and even thought I told him I was still in pain, he sent me back to work and told me that the pain was all in my head. The day I went back to work I couldn't take the pain and my company sent me back to them. There the same doctor told me that i was fine and it was all in my head and that he did not want to do an MRI because if he found something they would have to treat it.(hmm) I then went to my primary doctor who sent me for an MRI and it showed that I had a partial thickness rotator cuff tear and an impigment on my shoulder. Went back to the doctor and he told me that it is normal to have rotator cuff tears as we age (I am 27). I then asked to speak to the chief who then sent me to an Orthopedic. I've been coming to Occupational Health every month for one year for this injury and every time i come it takes 3 to 4 hours of my day.
