Best service experience I've had in a very long time. I had a tire blow out and didn't know if the wheel was damaged. I called and spoke to the owner, who could not possibly have been nicer or more professional. He immediately prepared and sent me an estimate, explained the repair process to me, and had my car towed, fixed and returned to me before the estimated time. I was more than a little rattled by the tire blowout and the great job that was done (quickly, properly, for a very fair cost and with great kindness) really meant the world to me. If you insurance sends them to tow your car, don't let them tow to their repair shop because they are a huge rip-off. Don't step in their trap!!! GEICO sent them to tow my car one weekend. I was intending to have them either tow to my house or firestone. The towing guy "Andrew" suggested towing to their repair shop because he claimed they did this type of repairs all the time. Now I can tell it truly is a trap. They gave me a quote of almost 700 dollar to replace a starter of an old Chevy on Mon. I told them it's much more expensive than other shops and I want to take my car back. Andrew immediately said you need to pay 180 dollar to get your car back because diagnosis bla bla..... I ended up having my car repaired because another repair shop got back to me too late. But I can share that the other shop "JT Auto" only wants to charge 3xx dollar for this repair, firestone wants ~ 4xx. Who would want to do business with these nasty people again? Never!!! fyi they also change 3% credit card fee!!! Stay away!!! read more

I am ever so grateful for the team at Sunoco on Bedford St. in Abington, Ma. I knew my car needed some attention so I made an appointment to have it looked over. Thank goodness I did. Oh, how this place is the biggest ripoff garage I've ever been to in my life. When I went with my mother-in-law to get her inspection sticker, the mechanic said that the break line was gone and it could never get a sticker. After receiving that shocking news he immediately pushed her to buy their car since "we'd need a new one anyway". I took the keys out of his hand and I took the car down the street to our regular mechanic (who can't afford to do stickers) to look at the car and see if it could be fixed. We just moved to the area and began to have problems with our minivan. On the recommendation of my brother, I called Abington Sunoco on Monday. They said they'd squeeze me on Tuesday, so I brought in the car and a mechanic immediately went on a ride with me to diagnose the issue. By Wednesday afternoon the repair was done (brake job and replacing a tie-rod end; not an inexpensive job anywhere) and they even agreed to deliver the car to my house because we had to juggle two kids and car seats otherwise. They also explained everything before doing the work and gave me an estimate that was right on the money, suggested work that could be put off for a little while in order to concentrate on the immediate safety need, and were all-around pleasant to work with. Their explanatory paperwork and receipts are clear and their website is a model for other independent auto mechanics, with clearly outlined prices for routine maintenance. I can't believe I'm reviewing a gas station, but on the weekends, they are known to drop their price of regular unleaded gasoline ten cents. So it's definitely a bargain! They advertise full and self service, but I've never really seen the full service pumps "open" (without cones in front of them). Nor are they open 24-hours. So if it only takes you one tank of gas a week, it's definitely worth filling up here! read more

My family has gotten their cars repaired here for years. They are very knowledgable and will explain everything that needs to be done with your cars. They are extremely honest and care about the safety of their customers. The location kind of stinks but if you go when it's not rush hours you shouldn't have a problem. My car was jerking but I got a tow because my breaks gave up randomly. I told the guy I got the tow because of my breaks but my car was ALSO jerking can you return my car drivable he said yes he can. I get my car returned with no diagnosis, told it will run fine, and then when I drive it , it is still jerking. They talk to you like an angel on the phone but like no ones taking responsibility of a false promise, most importantly a false price. read more

I recently failed my emissions on my 2002 minivan. I wanted to find a place that was both AAA certified and also state approved emissions repair shop. Lord knows if they do not get the emissions properly corrected, it can cost unimaginable amounts of money. I didn't want to take any chances. I too my car to Abington Sunoco, and I dealt with Mark. He was courteous, professional, and I actually just received a followup call from the station about 20 minutes ago. I don't know any other mechanics that actually call and follow up to make sure they fixed something correctly. Overall, I was very pleased, and will certainly go back there again. It's no wonder why everyone working here is so cheery. They can afford to be from what they charge. I've had a couple repairs done here and regretted them instantly. I should have trusted my instincts after the first repair. I EASILY paid 2x or 3x more than another garage would charge. I've had shops charge me double retail on parts in the past, but these guys got me for 3x and 4x retail. I'd rather take my chance trying an unknown garage than know I'd get pooched by these guys again. Live and learn. My advice? Stay away. read more

I had a flat tire in town and was towed to Abington Sunoco. They gave me the option when I called ahead of time of using a tire of the same size, but different brand that they had on hand, or ordering what I had and putting it on that afternoon. I opted to just use what they had in stock and they really seemed to put me as a priority - i was out in less than 15 minutes even though they were working on other cars. I had a flat tire tonight and luckily have roadside assistance with Geico. They were able to get Abington Sunoco to tow my car to a repair shop and despite the long ETA, Mike assured me he would call when he was 10 minutes away - which he did. When he arrived, the process was super simple as I just had to initial on his mobile phone and he took my key to load my car up. I didn't ride in the tow truck because I was able to get a ride and Mike was so wonderful that he sent me a text saying my car had been dropped off at Firestone and he even sent me a picture as proof! Stopped in here to get an inspection sticker. It was done really quick, and there was a good spot to sit and wait while the work was done. The service manager Mark was super nice and let me know about all the specials they offered, and invited me to come back for my regular service (and they offer a car rental for if you need it for the day). I dread ever having to go to a service station if I need an oil change, sticker, etc. but I felt really comfortable here and will be going back for my next tune up! read more

I thoroughly recommend the Abington Sunoco auto repair. I understand that nobody likes to pay a lot of money to maintain their autos but is a fact of life that as autos (like humans) age they require maintenance and repairs. I had a problem with my car that was diagnosed at another establishment and I was not happy with the quote. I took the car to Abington Sunoco to get a second quote and I am thankful that I did. The accommodated me by making an appointment for the very next day and completed the repairs for less than 60% of the original quote. I have always found the management and staff at Abington Sunoco to be polite and reasonable. I will admit that it is difficult to hear unexpected bad news that will impact my wallet. Doctors and auto mechanics are similar in that respect. read more

I've had Sunoco do repairs on my car in the past and felt that they did a great job for a good price. I felt informed and not scammed in 2015. Now in 2016 the last couple of times i've been there I don't know what happened but the work wasn't up to par, prices were high, and I can't say that I trust them like I used to. I am not sure if it's just different mechanics or not. But Mark the manager is the same.
