The following spring, with only 10k km on these rotors/pads, I started to notice brake performance decline with it not really biting and needing to apply a lot more pedal pressure to stop properly. Brought it back for Ivan to inspect. He said rotors had a lot of rust, however, they were all suppose to be coated which greatly increases the time for rust to form. So, for rust form so quickly and so severe to affect performance in just 8 months and with only 10K Km since install....that just doesn't add up and Ivan wasn't able or willing to offer anything (possible defective warranty etc) other than to resurface them for an extra $100-200. That really didn't make any difference. So, I ended up going back to my regular guru who replaced all the pads with Power Stop shortly after. Fixed it and it was 100% better. Not sure if the issue was with the parts, the installer or a bit of both. Things just didn't make much sense to me and Ivan wasn't really taking any initiative or making any effort help me other than charging extra to hopefully remedy my issues. Lesson learned...Will keep to my guru from now on.

Approximately 27 MONTHS LATER, I was advised that the same exhaust component needed to be replaced AGAIN. In my opinion, that is an unacceptable lifespan for a repair of this nature and raises serious questions about the quality of the part supplied, the installation, or the original repair. I retained the invoice and photographs and subsequently examined the components on the vehicle. Rather than reassuring me, what I found left me with MORE questions about exactly what was installed in 2024 and why I was facing the same repair again barely two years later. This is what concerns me most: customers generally cannot crawl underneath their vehicles and verify expensive repairs themselves. We PAY professional mechanics because we TRUST them to install the parts we paid for and perform the work competently. After this experience, that trust is gone. I brought my concerns directly to Frank, the Service Manager (Habib the owner refused to speak with me). Frank refused to answer any of my questions and did not provide an explanation. My advice to other motorists is simple: DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. KEEP YOUR INVOICES. PHOTOGRAPH THE PARTS. ASK TO SEE WHAT WAS REMOVED. GET A SECOND OPINION. He was patient, helpful, answered my questions and made the experience smooth. It is a good showroom with good Kia cars and the test drive experience was smooth. The problem started after I put in the deposit and I was transferred to Sebastian for the financing portion. Sebastian is everything that you read about or see on TV about the stereotypical car salesman. He tried to scare us into buying their showrooms warranty, used most power sales tactics in the book, was pushy, even disrespectful at times trying to make us feel cheap for not buying his product. Thankfully my wife and I understand the financing math and did not fall into his tactics. But it left a real bad taste in the mouth. Once we purchased the car, Marko requested us to collect it at 4 pm on a weekday. When we asked for 4.30, he requested if we could make it at 4 because of xyz reasons. We reached at 4.03 pm and were kept waiting for 45 minutes before he arrived with the car and then we went through the paperwork. That was very unprofessional as well. Spoke to Greg and booked the appointment same day. Dropped off the car didn't expect much except for what needs to be done. Mind you I am very particular with my cars so I'll know if they have done a good job or not. When I picked up the car, Greg actually told me they have done more than what I've asked for as there were more needed, but billed me the same price and he put down what else are having deficiencies so I'm aware of what may come next.
