I like washing my car with a wand, as opposed to driving my car into an automatic car wash. I find…read morethat I can get a workout and remove tough spots off my car better with a hand wand. Last week, I put in three days of work in two days getting information that I needed extremely late. I took Monday off as a lieu day. What did I want to do first on my day off? Wash my car. Yeah, I'm weird. After vacuuming my car at a local gas station, I went to my favourite car wash with the hand wands to discover that it had closed down. I actually circled around the block to make sure that I wasn't losing it. Yep, it was closed for good. Instead, I visited this Petro-Canada where I used to go to wash my car. It has been around for years and is reliable. There are six car wash bays. There were two that were available. I backed my car into one of them and was happy. I tend to bring coins whenever I am off to vacuum and wash my car. Each car wash bay accepts coins and tap methods, such as credit and debit cards, Google Pay, and more. Considering that I had a horrible experience with the tap methods at the Shell station before coming here, I stuck with coins. It's $4 for a standard wash. I tend to pay $6 or $7, as I do the whole pre-soak, soap, rinse, and wax steps. I find it relaxing washing my car. Again, I'm different. There are clips for you mats on the wall. I was so happy to wash and rinse those clean. They looked ugly going in, but are so clean and cheerful now. My car had got a car wash at the dealership when I was there in August. There were spots that were still present on my car after that wash, which I got off here. The walls are concrete and you can barely see the folks on either side of you. It's perfect for physical distancing. I can't recall coming here to fuel my car in my life. I have always come here to wash my car. There is a convenience store if you need snacks or pay for your gas purchase. There are also vacuums at this station. I don't normally use them because they are always in use. Sure enough, both vacuums were occupied the entire time that I was there. If you want to wash your car with a hand wand in northern Scarborough or southern Markham, this place is decent. (375)

Since I haven't done my usual commute for work between Markham and Mississauga, I couldn't tell you when I last filled up my car's gas tank! Anyway, I remembered this Petro-Canada at Leslie and York Mills, and decided to pull in. It was pretty quiet on a Saturday afternoon, just before 2 pm. There was a sportscar at the pump across from the one I ultimately pulled up to. Gas was at 94.9 cents a litre. It has gone up a bit since I last filled up, but it's still pretty low under the circumstances. I used my 407 ETR card to get a discount on the price and my Petro-Points card to continue collecting points towards free stuff. I paid using a credit card at the pump. Everything went well. This station was clean. There was plenty of paper towel, which I used while touching the gas pump. It also has that lever that you can use to have the pump do all the work and you can rest your hand. This gas station has a convenience store. I didn't need anything, so I didn't go inside. It was doing pretty swift business. By the time I had left the place, there were four cars in front of it. There is also a car wash. I typically don't use them (I like the wand ones where I can get a workout and avoid swirl scratches on the paint), so I can't comment on it. I liked coming here. It was bright and clean. It also got me on my way to my next errand! (171)

VERY rude employees who obviously shouldn't be working on other people's vehicles, and they will brag about their experience while they mess up your vehicle and take NO RESPONSIBILITY whatsoever. After getting an oil change, I noticed oil leaks at home and at work, so I took my car to my mechanic then got hit with a massive repair bill due to the fact that during the oil change, the oil filter was not replaced properly, causing oil to soak my engine damaging the alternator. The entire engine had to be shampooed and oil soaked belts replaced and it all cost me $1500. I was lucky (probably because the months are colder now) that my car didn't catch fire. Getting a hold of the owner is an impossibility, no-one ever picks up the phone, and upon my surprise visit, I noticed a pad with my NAME, NUMBER, CAR MAKE AND MODEL right beside the phone. They were screening my calls and deliberately avoiding me! IF you deal with these people and the manage to screw you over, GET THE LAW INVOLVED. I had no choice.

He told me to come back in 20 minutes when he had finished his lunch. I went over to Canadian Tire to pick up some items and returned. The technician opened the service bay doors and I drove in. The technician then turned his back to me and began shuffling through papers. After a few minutes, I asked him what he was doing. He told me that he was doing paperwork that would take about 20 minutes. I did not have time to wait and left. Another customer was waiting at the service bay door and he asked me where I was going. I told him what the technician had told me and the customer stormed into the office area. I did not wait to see the outcome of that interaction. I was annoyed enough at what happened that I called the station later and asked to speak to the manager. The technician answered the phone and claimed to be the manager. I told him that I recognized his voice and would get in touch with the manager by email. I outlined what happened in an email to the manager who happens to actually own the station. He told me that he has another job and only works at the station on Saturdays. He told me that because I was a long standing customer and as an apology, he would provide a free oil change if I came by on Saturday. I went back and while I never did meet the owner, a young woman had been briefed as to what happened and I got the free oil change. That should have been the end of that but a few days later, I noticed a trail of oil on my driveway. I returned to the station and the technician who did the oil change told me that he had failed to clean the pan and that was what caused the oil leak. In fact, he had not tightened the new oil filter and the oil subsequently leaked out completely. I went to another service provider to replenish the oil and this was confirmed. I would advise to stay away from this service station. The customer service is poor and the technicians do not know what they are doing.
