These guys are great! I called them on Thursday evening, 5 mins before closing time, due to frustration with my local dealer. Mike Young (one of the managers) quickly sent me a detailed offer and answered my questions immediately and honestly. I filled out some paperwork (remotely) on Friday, and picked up the car on Saturday (today). Wayne Davy was very helpful as well today, getting us set up on the app, handling paperwork, etc. The finance team was efficient and personable. They gave the best pitch I have heard for an extended warranty (though I still didn't buy it). Also.... The price Abeloff offered me was much better than my local dealer; Abeloff's doc fees are reasonable; and they didn't try to stick me with a bunch of extras I didn't want. Overall this was an excellent experience. Although I live more than an hour away (in NJ) it was worth the trip. (For NJ residents - they seamlessly handle registration, taxes etc. for NJ). This was a much better experience than my local dealer, who wanted more for the car, were not forthright about the size of current financing rebates, charge an exorbitant doc fee, and insist on adding "extras" that the customer doesn't want. read more

I would not recommend this Kia dealership to anyone that is hoping for a trustworthy and reputable service experience. I was informed of a recall from Kia in the summer of 2024. I contacted this location because I had bought the car from them. First, I'm told they don't have the part for the recall. Few months later, October 3rd, I am told the part is in and I waited for around 5 hours while they worked on it. Then I am told it is the first time they have ever done this, and I will have to leave the car. I was told if I used Uber that I would get reimbursed and this reimbursement did not happen. They were unable to complete the repair. I was then given back the car incomplete and told I would have to bring it back again when they had a loaner for me. Now it is December 2024, and I was told it may take a few days for the recall repair. The few days turned into 3 months. After constantly asking for updates, I was finally given the car back in March 2025. I got in the car and notice a large metal plate with a high voltage warning symbol on it loose on the floor behind the driver seat. I bring it inside to the service desk and they said, "Oh that is an extra old part and we can take it for you". I got home and after unfolding the backseat they had left down I found that the back lower cushion was not secured and the bolts for it were loose in the trunk. I lifted the loose cushion only to notice a large opening that coincidentally is the same size hole as the metal plate I had given them. So, they gave me back a car that wasn't put back together based on factory assembly specifications. I really didn't have the time to drive back again and decided I would just call to complain. After driving the car for a few days the dash warning lights were now appearing that weren't there before. Great, now it wasn't put back together and now it has a service induced issue. I called them to explain both. I had to bring the car back in only for them to tell me they had to order the part they lied saying was extra and couldn't diagnose the warning lights because they weren't showing when they checked it. I was now told I would have to leave the car for an extended time to get this checked but they didn't have any loaners and would call me when some became available. They gave me the run around for a few months while I drove around a car that now had electrical issues and would stop accelerating randomly. It was also still missing the electrical cover they had gotten from me. I am finally given a loaner a few months later and then given an estimate of nearly $26,000 saying that I would need my battery replaced. This is because they didn't actually know what was wrong with the car. They would not acknowledge that the recall repairs they had performed might have damaged a connector or cable harness, and refused to recheck their own work. They told me that sometimes this happens that new issues coincidentally appear after people have their cars repaired, and it is not their fault. I said if it wasn't your fault, how come my car was not put back together and it was missing a part. I was lied to saying this part was extra and now you're charging me a diagnosis fee for something you induced. So now my car has been at their dealership for 30+ days. I went in person to speak with the service manager and explain my perspective for this recall repair. She explained to me that she was fully aware of my experience and was hired around the time I got my car back. So I explained the timeline to her for about 45 minutes and she agreed to have them check the BMS connector and BMS cable harness. She explained that they were fairly busy and would not be able to get to it for several days. Now nearly 3 weeks has passed and I receive a call from Hertz rental cars that they would like to know when I was going to be bringing it back to KIA. I explained that they still have my car and I will be calling to get an ETA. He then said that he was going to charge my credit card because he spoke with service folks at KIA and they said it was my obligation. I said it was a loaner arranged by them and that he should ask to speak with the service manager for clarification. He said he already had and that the current cost is up to around $2,000. I told him I would visit the dealership to get this sorted out and would let him know. It was too late in the day to get to KIA before they closed the service department so I went in the following morning on August 8th. I went in to discuss the loaner and was told by the service representative that they never got me a loaner and it was my responsibility. I said "Why would I agree to a rental car and to have it for this long". I was never told it was an arranged rental and their messages and texts to me even specifically mentioned "loaner". I been an Abeloff customer for years both Kia and Nissan. I was approaching my lease end with my Sportage and visited Abeloff to try to end my lease a few months early and get a new Sportage. I showed there was some equity in the Sportage as I only had 16,000 miles on it. I got the value from KBB which showed the average trade in would be around $22,500. When Joe from Abeloff appraised the vehicle I was low balled and offered only $20,000. The buy out was $21,500 so i would start off in the hole. Plus the lease price for a new one was so high, well over $450 a month with $6000 down for a Kia not a Mercedes. I walked out and went up the road to Abeloff Nissan same owner and they dealt with me very fairly. Jeff did the Appraisal I was offered the correct KBB appraisal so I was able to pay off the lease and have close to $1,000 left towards the deposit. I was able to lease a Rogue SV with the premium package with an MSRP price over $2000 more for over $100 per month less than the Sportage. Very disappointed in Abeloff Kia and probably will not be returning to Kia anytime soon. read more

I bought a 2024 Kia Telluride and the trim on the passenger window came loose an fell off. I called the dealership at the end of October 2024, was called and told the part was in. I went to the appointment and sat in the waiting room for 45 minutes when the service manager came and told me they "lost" my part. Opened a case with Office of Attorney General in PA, Lemon Law. Twice this car has been to the repair shop, first two times they said the car was ok, we had to show them pictures of the liking liquid all over the garage and street. Then, they kept it to "fix" it for almost a week, 2 different times. Car came back worse. Now the engine lights keep coming on, they blink fast, then slow, then they go off intermittently. They don't know what's wrong. ABELOFF refuse to stand behind the car they sold us, BUT WANT TO SELL ME ANOTHER ONE for twice as much! Of course, no credit for anything, I have to pay AGAIN, the deposit, loan, fees, everything! For maybe another lemon? SO that I have to keep buying more lemons from ABELOFF in Stroudsburg. They want to double-dip. I would lose the $10k deposit, and they would buy this lemon back at a discount, meaning I'll still owe the bank the difference. Peter Aksamit, the salesman, said it wasn't his fault when I told him they sold me a lemon. Atty. General is already looking into this, and I'll try to warn everyone I know, and everywhere I can tell my story, so others can be warned. It's stressful to have a car with so many problems, that we bought for over $25k trusting that it had been "inspected" by their "rigorous inspections" BS and was supposed to be reliable. Avoid the angry boss because you're taking too many days off from work to take this car to the shop, hazels, stress, money down the drain. This is my brand new 2022 Sportage that was sold to me. As you can see when they removed the plastic seat protection they sliced up the back of the seats. I didn't find this out because no one sat in the backseat for months. When I pointed this out they took no responsibility for it so I am stuck with this mess. The managers even agreed with me that it was their doing, however the owner took no responsibility. I have bought a few cars off this dealership and had no problems. Customer loyalty means nothing to them. Move on to another dealership and don't let something like this happen to you. read more

My family including parents, sister, and myself all switched over to Kia over the last few years to learn it was a horrible mistake. Recently been trying to do a lease buyout and went through my local bank to make the final purchase of the vehicle. After obtaining the bank loan and presenting it to Kia, the dealership states "State Law" they can't accept it and you must go through Kia financing to complete a lease buyout. After contacting other dealerships including Honda, I am learning this is more specific to Kia and used car prices increasing during the pandemic where they want to resell your vehicle on the lot to earn more income or charge higher financing rates than your local bank to secure more cash flow which are both bad business practices for the customer. I am currently stuck making two payments to Kia and the bank since Kia won't accept the payoff check from the local bank. I can't believe how much of a disaster this lease buying experience has been with Kia and strongly encourage all car buyers to look at Honda and Toyota first prior to finding yourself in a similar dilemma. Abeloff KIA in Stroudsburg. Sorry to say we took our Optima in for AC service in July because it was not blowing cold air!! They made it cold but broke the controls of the air flow in the process. This was NOT malfunctioning when we took it in. They are in denial. They didn't hesitate to tell us to replace the brakes, the serpentine belt ( which we had done that day for $200) and other issues. They missed actually repairing the AC !!! After promising to resolve it when we brought it back this week for the brakes, they tried to get another $500 -$1000 to fix the AC . When we declined, they tried to get $89 for diagnostics that should have been done in July when they: 1. Ordered the wrong part and only discovered their mistake when they took it apart. 2. Replaced that and declared it, "blowing cold" and considered it "repaired." 3. They Charged $500 to repair the high pressure line and recharge the system. So now, it blows cold but not where we want it to go! Maybe we should not have chosen the closest dealership? Our mistake. We will never go there again! read more

I updated this to upgraded review from 1 star to 2 stars, and softened it a little bit because a salesperson did contact me AFTER SEEING MY BAD REVIEW on YELP, and tried to resolve the trade in price issue---- to sell me a new car. ---- (Still no way I would buy from them.) I see that they are trying to help me, just not when I needed it. Service did contact me and offered to pay for or replace the damaged skid plate. They are taking responsibility for their mistakes... kudos for that. My holdover 2016 Kia Soul base model has broken down 7 times and needed to be towed in the past 6 months!!!! It only has about 41K mikes. (Burnt out 3 catalytic converters and now a clutch.) Very Bad. Go anywhere else. They "fixed" my car but forgot to put in several bolts - so my skid plate fell off driving home. It took them almost 9 days to fix my 2016 Soul, ant it coast me over $1600. They never offered me a loaner car. I got "trade in" quote - over 40% below quote from other Kia dealership. Sales staff and service staff were "usually" polite and friendly, but obviously don't believe in their product or do good work. My wife and I ordered a brand new Telluride from Abeloff Kia early in 2021. When our sales lady called to let us know it had arrived in April, we were very excited. I called my banks to compare financing options with what Abeloff was offering. Our sales lady ran our credit score and informed us that we were eligible for financing through Kia at 1.99% APR, and in addition, would receive the $500 incentive that Kia was giving that month for buyers of a new Kia that were also financing through Kia. I agreed, and my wife and I drove to Stroudsburg to get the car and sign the paperwork. Here's where things start to unravel: We waited over an hour before we could even see the car and inspect it. Then we listened to a VERY LONG sales pitch for a VERY EXPENSIVE extended warranty. We said "no thank you", and after a few more tries, the finance gentleman finally gave up and proceeded to process our paperwork. We are going on two hours now, and we have a fussy 6 month old. We quickly sign the papers, get the keys, and drive home! Later that day, I noticed two things; 1. They forgot to credit us the $1,000 deposit we had made when we ordered the vehicle. This was finally credited to us after a week and a half of my calling every single day. 2. The finance gentleman, without our permission, decided to switch our financer from Kia to PNC. That disqualified us for the $500 incentive if financing through Kia. $500!!! I have called our sales lady countless times, called the manager and left messages, contacted Abeloff through Facebook, but the issue remains unresolved. After a week and a half, Abeloff stopped returning my calls all together. Its ashame, I really wanted to like the Abeloff experience, but you can't just take away $500 from a customer without their knowledge, not do anything to make it right, and then expect them to be a return customer. Karissa carefully explained everything and was very easy to work with. I knew what to expect regarding timing after our initial call and she patiently answered all of my questions while I was waiting for my vehicle. Karissa was nice enough to let me pick up the car three days after it arrived at the dealership. The entire transaction, including picking up the car, was smooth. She spent some time with me going over the car's features then I worked with Julie Ramirez on the finance portion and she was terrific, too. She carefully explained what I was signing, didn't pressure me to purchase any extended warranties and answered all of my questions openly and was very thorough. Terrible all I can say!! My sister purchased a brand new Kia Sorrento it has been in the shop 14 TIMES yes 14 TIMES and it was purchased a year ago!!! The outlets keep blowing and they keep saying that it is her stuff funny though the cell chargers and everything else work in my Jeep my dad's Jeep her husbands Mustang!! Now the GENERAL MANAGER MIKE STERZER is saying that they never received the things that have blown it LIE an outright LIE because I have been there. They wanted me to leave my brand new GPS with them when I asked if they would guarentee that they would give me a new one if something happened they refused!! We went to pick it up the 13th time the outlet died before we left the lot!! We proved to CHRIS WARNER that it died HE EVEN WENT TO HIS CAR FOR HIS CHARGER AND IT DIDNT WORK BUT WORKED IN OTHER CARS.
