I'm almost surprised to be the first to post a review of Community Health Care of Meriden, CT…read more(hereafter referred to as CHC), because although it primarily serves low-income families and patients, most of aforementioned families somehow manage to stay current with the latest technology in smartphones, thereby giving them access to Yelp. But, enough about that, let's talk about CHC. In a day and age when healthcare corporations are shipping in the "finest" of medical professionals from overseas, many domestically educated physicians are relegated to positions in less prestigious facilities. This can be good news... and bad news. Physicians seem to be placed under a number of factors. How much are they willing to accept as a salary? Are they willing to relocate? Are they willing to work in a community-based facility as opposed to a large hospital. For the record, I've come to find that many doctors do not even work for hospitals, rather they pay the hospital for use of their facilities in addition to their own private practice. This is why you get such a large bill after using a hospital's services. You're paying for the hospital's fee, plus the doctor's fee. As for the rest, well, some physicians didn't place very high in medical school, yet passed the state medical certification board. Consequently, the more professional facilities will not hire them, AND due to the limited number of spaces available in these finer healthcare facilities, some of the more intelligent and knowledgable physicians end up working in facilities such as CHC. That's where the good news comes in. It's refreshing to see that some of the finer doctors aren't too proud to take such a position, especially because they entered the healthcare profession to care for the sick, the elderly, and the infirm. Twenty years ago, such community-based healthcare facilities couldn't afford to pay enough for the finer physicians because the demand outweighed the supply. Let's face it: in all fairness, a medical facility that runs in the red will close its doors before long. CHC is actually a network of facilities throughout the state of Connecticut that strategically places its services where it will be most needed and utilized. It also places such services in consideration of how much it will cost to fill the other needed positions, be it registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, or even a receptionist. No receptionist will travel in excess of 25 miles for $9.00/hour as they'll be losing money in the process. So with that in mind, be prepared to deal with a little less than ideal customer service when dealing with CHC, at least in Meriden. There are some very good doctors at CHC who will take the time to listen to what you have to say, weigh it in considering your regimen and show genuine concern for your general well-being. There are others, however, who consider themselves above their position and will argue with you, especially after making you wait for 1-3 hours just to see them, only to inform you they're very busy and only have 5 minutes to see you. Such self-important doctors are lacking in a very basic, yet required skill called time management. There are also other doctors who are obviously unhappy with their current position and will go the distance to make it almost impossible to see them, just to lighten their workload. Their attitudes, for lack of a better word, suck. These are the ones to avoid. I will not name names as I do continue to use this facility and do not wish to incur the wrath or lack of cooperation of any particular professional who is sympathetic to the problematic doctors' situation. Just use caution. After a visit or two, you should be able to see a pattern and then request a new doctor. Ask around. If you get to an appointment and someone in the waiting room is complaining they've been waiting for over 90 minutes past their appointment time, it may be wise to find out who their doctor is and take it from there. I believe CHC is a great facility with a few bad apples in the bunch. Fortunately, those bad apples do not spoil the bunch. Now if they could just do away with that policy restricting appointments to no later than 2 weeks from date...

You wait 40 minutes, put in a room to wait for him to come in. He opens the door, no hello how are you, and barks come with me. In the other room he sits facing the computer as if it is the patient, never makes eye contact, rushes, doesn't educate the slightest bit. I can't imagine what made him treat us so poorly. His answer to the question "what kind of fiber should be taken" was "any kind they are all the same". When I asked in return should it be soluble or insoluble he became angry and said said "you tell me doctor". He simply could have answered the question or educated the patient but he chose out right rudeness and unprofessionalism. I pray that this doctor who overbooks, rushes and has no patience for patient questions does not make a mistake that alters the course of someone's life. If you feel that kindness and compassion matters when choosing a doctor look else where.

All the bad reviews are spot on. The only reason I visited this practice was because my trusted…read moredoctor referred me. However, the experience has made me question everything. I went in for banding to treat a hemorrhoid, and the initial plan was to have three procedures done. But by the second procedure, Dr. Wazazz seemed completely unaware of my identity and had to ask which procedure we were on. He didn't even glance at my chart and kept asking which procedure this was. It was our fourth session, not the third, and I'm not sure what he did during that extra procedure. If there was any progress, it's been undone, as I've been bleeding for weeks. The whole experience felt disorganized, which made me incredibly nervous. I found it odd that he wanted me to continue with more procedures, and it feels like a money grab, especially since the treatment isn't working. This is aside from the fact that Dr. Wazazz had zero bedside manner and showed no respect for my privacy. I'd be undressed, and he'd open the door, allowing nurses in the waiting area to see directly into the room - completely unprofessional. The front desk staff consistently made booking errors, canceled appointments at the last minute without explanation or apology, and didn't provide any way to confirm whether my appointment was canceled. I'd show up the next morning, and they'd act like nothing happened. It was absurd. There's a clear lack of professionalism in this office. The question is, why are trusted healthcare providers referring patients to this subpar practice? It seems like money and kickbacks might be the motivation

I always admired this doctor for his brilliance, and was so proud when he became known for his research. I've read his books, watched his infomercials, and I liked his hypoallergenic olive oil cream. I obviously have had a very bad reaction to his products. I am on the 4th day of having not used the products but still look as though someone has been boxing on my face. The worst part is that when reading the bottles, there are no ingredients listed on the any of the products. However, the box (if kept, does list the ingredients). When calling Dr Perricone's 1-888 number to let them know about my reaction and to see if they can offer any solution for healing, they are not receptive and offer no solutions. This treatment is suppose to be for wrinkles and since no where does it say NOT to use by the eyes where I have wrinkles, I unfortunately used it there along with the rest of my face. My eyelids are so swollen they fall over my eyes and I have large pockets of swollen skin under my eyes as well as the rest of my face being swollen and extremely dry with no sign of improvement. I have never had a reaction to anything other than cats so this comes unexpected. I realize there are some good reviews about this product on-line but I would be cautious since you don't know when you will have a reaction and you are dealing with a product line where the company is not receptive in helping you if you do have a problem. I wish you could see my face..it is worth a thousand words,
