Once in the OR his bedside manner was exceptional. He was gentle with me and his compassion was the best. Once it was all over I went from using a wheelchair to walking again. A true Hero, My dad was diagnosed with a very big Aortic…read moreAneurysm in his abdomen. He was then taken to DMC hospital in Modesto, CA. Surgeon recommended due to the size and location of AAA the only way to fix is to cut him open. My dad was scheduled to have surgery on 8/20/2020 at 10am. My family and I were in extense fear due to my dad's age and wellbeing. But miracle happened, the day of the surgery we were highly recommended to contact Dr. Brian Park at Sutter General hospital in Sacramento by very well skilled interventional radiologist Dr. Ahmadi. I spoke with Dr. Park at 8:30am the day of my dad's surgery. He asked me three simple general questions. He told me with confidence that he can place a stent and avoid having dad to undergo a brutal surgery. I immediately called DMC hospital and cancelled dad's surgery which was going to happen in 30 minutes. Dr. Park took the full responsibility of making all the necessary arrangements and phone calls to transfer my dad to Sutter General Hospital in a timely manner knowing of my dads serious illness. I was impressed by how quickly my dad was picked up and arrived in hospital in Dr. Park's safe hands. The next morning on 8/21/2020, Dr. Park performed a very successfull and yet very intense case by placing stent and fixing a massive aneurysm. My dad went to recovery room and will come home shortly. I would like to take a moment to recognize a true hero Dr. Brian Park who went above and beyond to save my dad's life. Your kindness, sincere caring, concern, compassionate attention and professional care made a huge difference. They are not enough words for me and my family to express our appreciation. I admire you Dr. Park for your commitment and excellent care to my dad and to all of those patients and families who you touch every day. Thank you for giving my dad his life back. You are truly a lifesaver! Forever grateful, Nardin Reihan

My ultrasound technician Caroline was really sweet and told me baby is measuring average, with a significant amount of hair! This put my mind at ease and she was even sweet enough to turn on the sound so grandma could hear her heartbeat! Such a special moment for her grandma that she'll never forget and the sonogram photos came out large and well detailed! I would HIGHLY recommend this location! This week marks 35 weeks, baby is now the size of a honeydew melon!

Called and spoke to a scheduler by the name of Jessica and I thought the phone conversation…read morecould've been handled with better care. When she answered my call, she asked what she can help with. As I began answering her question, she's already cutting me off, trying to finish my sentence. When it came to actually helping me with what I needed, she proceeds to give me an answer that "she thinks" is correct. She literally said, " I think that's what it says, but I don't know because I can't read it." Not to mention, her tone throughout the call was so discourteous, it felt like being on call was an inconvenience to her. When I asked if she can double check the info she gave me, so that it doesn't cause any delays on my end, she responded with, "you know you can Google it too, that's what I did." At that point I didn't want her help, and I just wanted to be rude back. So, I told her she needs to get some glasses and that she should know information like that even as a scheduler, then I hung up. The questions I was calling to ask were: - What's the referral process for a non UCD provider, if we are trying to refer a patient for an MRI of the foot without contrast. She led me to the electronic referral link through the UCD site. This was good. - What is the CPT code we'd have to get authorization for? She told me she thinks it's 73218. When I asked if she could double check, she said it is correct and that I can google it. I happened to google it before telling her she needs to get glasses and hung up on her. The code is for MRI of the upper extremity. I don't know if Jessica's feet are located in her upper extremity, but for our patient, her feet are connected to her lower extremity. Whatever happened to healthcare professionals that actually take pride in the work they do? Is it really out of a scheduler's ability to know or want to know the CPT codes for the services they provide? Is that mentality out of date? In my professional opinion, it isn't helpful to tell people that call for help to just google it. It shows how lazy the scheduling staff is. I ended up bookmarking the page for the electronic referral link. Every so often we will have some UCD patients that want to be referred to UCD for everything, because it's easier for them. But for this particular referral, we decided to send it elsewhere.

Then The Baby Connection is the place for you! I came here at 23 weeks and 31 weeks because I wanted to see who my baby would like, me or her dad? The ultrasounds done at The Baby Connection are more detailed than what you would normally get at your doctor's office. They have the ability to put photos in 4D and add color to make the photo as close as possible to the baby & to make each detail of the baby very visible. At only $75 for about 10-15min the ultra sound tech will do her best to capture the best photo. Rest assured that if they are unable to get a good photo at your initial session, they allow you to come back for a second session to try again. I felt safe during the ultrasound, the machine is very similar if not the same as what they use at the hospital. The ultrasound room is large enough so that you can bring family and or friends. I would recommend Baby Connection for those pre-baby photos.
