With that said I have been stricken with the most painful condition and I have ulcers all over my lower leg and when I go to my wound care appointments it for debridement where the np takes scalpel and scrapes away dead tissue on the wound bed. Mind melting pain. Although the staff is friendly, there are issues I have with this business. Although I have made it clear that I need to have my appointments no earlier than 11 am they have not given me a consistent appointment time and try to schedule me before 10. Also, they deal with a medical supply company called Byrahm and they are highly incompetent. My biggest concern is about the fact that the business makes a ton of money but have not used that money to update their debridement tools. Still using scalples which causes me tremendous pain when they have sonic high frequency debtifement tools available that cause no pain and speed the healing process up significantly. I just want to get better. Active life is not doing a good job with that.

What's the point of having an appointment time if you're consistently waiting 30 minutes to over an hour? On one visit, I waited about an hour just to get into a room and nearly three hours overall. The front desk team is always nice, patient, and understanding, and the CNAs are honestly the best. They've been kind, helpful, and compassionate throughout the process. My experience with some of the providers has been more mixed. They're generally decent, but around lunchtime I've felt very rushed, almost as though it's being made clear that my appointment is cutting into their lunch. During one visit, I was also spoken to pretty harshly for being on my phone, even though I had already been waiting for hours and had asked another staff member for permission to use it. I understand healthcare gets busy and delays happen, but patients' time matters too -- especially when we're already dealing with painful wounds and ongoing treatment. Great medication, wonderful front desk staff, and amazing CNAs. I just wish the scheduling, wait times, and overall bedside approach from some providers matched the quality of the rest of the team.

No painful physical therapy is necessary. He prescribes oral narcotics to have if necessary, but I didn't need them because i followed the easy movement, elevation, and rest routine his team uses. For pain control I used their recommended, non-narcotic, daily pain control with Tylenol and Ibuprofen. I was thrilled with my results on the first knee and couldn't wait to get the second knee done. I had it done a few weeks after my 6 week check up. It was the same, easy experience. Yes, there is some pain, especially during the first couple of weeks, but i found it to be easily controlled. I am an old, overweight, arthritic senior, and it was life changing for me. I went from being unable to walk, and needing to use a wheelchair, to pain-free walking in just a few weeks.
