Novice but enthusiastic offshore fishers with lots of inshore and freshwater experience. This was a first for all of us. We were 40-45 miles offshore all morning in an area with nothing shy of 100 whales, breaching, porpoising, and spouting the entire time. Fogged in for early morning with improving skies all day. The first fish was 38-40" fish that blew up the top water spread when he hit it, amazing. Second fish was right at the max, 70", probably north of 180#s. Captain Dennis had to work to keep us on fish as the wolfpack were pretty finicky near the surface. We called it to go try for striper, and within an hour of fishing for striper, we were maxed out. Boat great, First mate and Capitain great team, fish were the real stars of the day. When we got back, all fish were fileted and prepped for us to portion out and freeze. Still enjoying the spoils at dinner time. Thank you Dennis. We'll be back!!!!

I went on the Nauset Marsh High Tide tour with my sister yesterday and we had a great time! We…read morechose this location because it was advertised as being one of his easier paddles, and since we have only been kayaking a couple times (and it's 3 hours) we didn't want to get in over our heads. Johnathan was very very knowledgeable about the area and Cape Cod in general, was able to answer all of my questions about the marsh, and provide interesting talking points and tidbits. We saw several types of wildlife: blue herring, horseshoe crabs, other crabs, clams, egrets, and even a seal in the distance. The paddling itself was not bad at all on this tour; it was very easy to keep up and would be fine for adults of pretty much any activity level, even quasi couch-potato ....your arms will just be a little sore the next morning if you don't really ever use them...like me :) The online booking feature is a real win in my opinion because you can see all the options available at one glance. This is a feature that seemed to be lacking in other Kayaking businesses in the area. My sister commented that she enjoyed this even more than she though she was going to. I will definitely go back again with my husband and do another tour sometime soon.

We did make one large catch of a striped Bass and several of the blue fish which gave us enough for several meals (6 of the 7 of us went fishing). I had a major malfuntion and breakdown on my outboard engine. The malfuntion happened on my first trip on my boat after having service done to my Suzuki outboard engine By Ryders. I am 100% positive that not only was the malfuntion caused by Ryders, but that the service manager Brian also knew that his technicians made a major mistake. After several phone conversations with Brian I realized that he was lying to me to cover up for "his guys." He denyed any wrong doing and pointed the blame at me. I then asked for him to have Allen (the owner of Ryders) call me. I never got a call back, so I called back two more times before Allen called me back. They never credited my bill for their mistake and expected me to pay. Allen proved to be evasive and I never got to talk to him. Let me put it this way folks...My father and I have both purchased outboards from Ryders Cove Boat Yard. We have been doing business with them since 2004 and up until now, they have done most of our outboard maintenence. Their prices were not cheap by any means, but that is not what mattered to us...what matters is good customer service. Everybody was friendly, and even more importantly, if they made a mistake they would fix it (and even apologize). Ryders Cove Boat Yard has lost both me and my father's business due to shoddy work and very poor customer service. Something changed over there when they expanded and opened the new service building. We noticed new people working there, including a not so friendly secretary and a service manager who proved to be a liar. What I want to know is....what happened to Ryders Cove Boat Yard???? And...why would they not own up to a mistake??? Especially when they knew that they would be losing business from not one but two good customers!!!!
