My sister and I surprised our parents with a private kayake tour through the Nauset Marsh for there Father's Day/Mother's birthday gift. There were 6 of us plus another couple. We all had a blast and learned so much! Jonathan, our tour guide and owner of Cape Kayaking was amazing!! He was a wealth of knowledge and catered to our various kayaking skills. This was such a great adventure to spend with the family and I highly recommend Cape Kayaking. We went out in the low tide which was perfect since we had some first time kayakers in the group. Jonathan lead us through the Marsh educationing us on the history of the area, local birds, sea creatures and vegetation. We took a break on a sand bar where Jonathon taught us how to find clams...we also had the opportunity to eat a razor clam! Can't say enough good things about Cape Kayaking and Jonathan!!! read more

I have taken several trips with Cape Kayaking and all have been great and had a different flavor. The tours go out of Pleasant Bay and Nauset area, with my preference being the former where there are far fewer kayakers around. My guide, Jonathan, comes from the Cape and knows so much about the area. I got to try some of the local seafood straight from the sea, some of which I never even thought to eat! They also have the coolest truck in town which seems to be able to get to places that other tours can't. Once you are in the area you can't miss it with lots of kayaks on the top and seats in the back. Nice personal touches as well with insect repellent, sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses in case you forget yours. And if you want to spice it up a bit make sure to ask for a water gun. read more

Yesterday (July 23, 2013) I took a trip with Cape Kayaking in Nauset Marsh (Eastham). I had a great time, and would absolutely recommend Cape Kayaking to anyone looking to do something outdoors on the Cape away from the crowds. Jonathan is personable, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. First-time kayakers, families and experienced paddlers all would enjoy one of Cape Kayaking's tours. I wish I hadn't been discouraged from taking my camera on the trip! I should have realized that Cape Kayaking would provide dry bags for water-sensitive items. (But I guess they have to protect themselves from claims for water-damaged valuables.) The views were spectacular and, all in all, a very enjoyable way to spend a few hours. read more

My brothers and I took a trip with Jonathan in early September. Despite it being low tide, he guided us through the maze of Nauset Marsh with ease. Jonathan is a gentle and reassuring coach and paced the tour perfectly to our skill level. What's more, he is extremely knowledgeable about the unique ecosystem of the marsh, and about the Cape as a whole. He had no problem identifying any wildlife we observed and fielded all of our questions. The highlight of our trip had to be when we had the chance to do some clamming. We got to leave our boats to explore a mud flat and stomp for quahogs. Later on we hopped off on a sandbank to dig for razor clams. Very cool! If you want to see Cape Cod from a unique perspective, this is the way to do it! read more

Excellent Equipment and tour in the Cape Cod National Seashore Nauset Marsh. 3 hours of great paddling through the marsh looking at birds and paddling around the seals. This trip takes you away from the crowds and out in some beautiful scenery. You will learn paddling techniques, history and ecology of the marsh from your guide while you paddle 3 hours or more. Cape Kayaking has dry bags for use, extra hats, sunglasses, bug repellent, sun screen and probably whatever else you might needs. It is very simple and accessible to meet them right where you will be paddling and there are a variety of different trips to choose from. I would definitely paddle again with them in the future, It was the highlight of our vacation. read more

we booked a tour with Jonathon who provided us with comprehensive information about kayaking, safety, nature, etc. I booked this tour for my two kids (tween/teenager) and my husband. We have little experience with boating let alone kayaking. I only wish I lived closer to the cape to get more instruction with Jonathon and to once again sail around w/ my family. There was so much to see, and it was not easy but it sure was WORTH it and a lot of FUN.. Lifelong memories were made on this trip.. Wow! Is pretty much all you need to say about a tour with cape kayaking. Jonathan is pobably the most knowledgeable guide we have ever had on a kayak tour. This is just an add to the great equipment that cape kayaking provides you with and the BIG blue truck which has water guns for the kids. Loved our day out on the water and would recommend it to anyone who wants a good time on cape cod. We will come back from Germany and paddle again. Jonathan: You need to work on your German. Exceptional! Jonathan is about the sweetest guy on the planet plus a treasure trove of information. So many fun facts and things to learn: we have coral in New England! Who knew? (Bring polarized sunglasses if you have them to see down into the glare off the water). Jonathan's the clam whisperer. We saw a razor clam burrow back into the sand and squirt a geiser. Plus taste tested a raw one that Jonathan carved up with his knife. And sank our feet in the mud while hunting for more. So many highlights to the low tide tour. Really a must do! read more

Knowledgable guide, very easy going trip, and top notch equipment. A grand time was had by young and young at heart (79 years young!). Great for beginners and experienced paddlers alike! This is the second year that I have been paddling with Jonathan. I was excited to see he is paddling in a few new areas. The equipment is excellent especially the light weight paddles.
