The Pumpkin patch is sponsored by the staff and clients that work at Pomeroy Recreation & Rehabilitation center. If you are not aware, Pomeroy provides a different variety of programs for children, teens, youth as well as seniors which include: Therapeutic Swimming Pool., Gym, Computer lab, playground, theater with stage and the amazing community garden. In this amazing community garden is where the Pomeroy Pumpkin Patch takes place. From October 1st-October 31st from 10AM-5PM (Closed on Sunday) the pumpkin patch is open to the whole community. The staff and participants in the center work super hard in putting together this wonderful event. There are pumpkins, face painting, they sale food and drinks, and great games and rides for all ages. They also have a bounce house that is $3. FOOD & DRINKS: The pumpkin patch does sale special food and drinks. Please note that the booth is usually participants of the Pomeroy center and are learning while on the job. They serve: Chocolate chip/ White cholate macadamia cookies which are $2. Infused water is $2. Wreaths are $15. They also sale fruit, chips and fruit snacks as well for a decent price. PUMPKINS: Come and get yourself a pumpkin at a decent price. Small pumpkins are $2 and the large pumpkins are $10. POMEROY PUMPKIN PATCH EVENTS: There are 4 big events that happen at the patch within the month that is open: -October 1st from 11AM-4PM there is a Family Fun in Wild West San Francisco. Come out to experience all the games and activities for all ages. There are many different games such as: Coloring contest, western karaoke, line dancing and bull ride simulator. During that day there is also a 21+ evening event as well (Check it out; I hear it's really fun). -October 8th from 12PM-3PM there is a Haunted House Grand Opening. Don't miss your chance to see the special live monsters performance. The event is for elementary school and up and cost is $4. -October 22nd from 6PM-8PM there is a movie night. The event is FREE! So bring your friends and family! This year they showed Charlie Brown and had snacks, drinks and pumpkins available to purchase. -October 29th from 11AM-3PM it's the HALLOWEEN PARTY!! Bring all the children and come out to enjoy a wonderful time! Pomeroy has the haunted house, pumpkin carving contest and entertainment! Games are also available and they also sale food, drinks and pumpkins. OVERALL RATING: 5 stars!!! How could I give this place any less?? What truly melts my heart is that the young adults gain vocational experience at the pumpkin patch by working at the patch! I think that is totally amazing and all the money that is saved from the pumpkin patch is used to continue the vocational programs that happen at the center. Come check this place out and experience all the wonderful events and excitement! I love coming here and seeing everyone has a great time! Truly something to look forward to every year. About the only thing I'd improve is the scheduling for delivery. We were promised 1-2:30 because we had some business meetings in the afternoon. After a couple calls the delivery folks showed up at 2:50 -- fortunately his meeting had ended and my 3 o'clock one hadn't started yet so we tag teamed and got the tree up in the living room okay.

Five stars simply for having the tallest, best silver tips available anywhere at this point in time…read moreso close to Christmas. It is high in price but these are super rare trees that need EXPENSIVE permits and the permitting process got lots worse and more limiting this year. The second wave of silver tips never came this year. I usually wait around on the sidelines to get them - these trees grow only at 6,000 feet and some years they get snowed in. Still, today if you want a 11+ foot tall tree that is silver tip - I think this is your only option. There is one more on Park St Alameda and another on Solano Ave in I think Albany - but they all have lower inventory of the tallest and nicest and most expensive. The best it just good enough for me when it comes to Christmas trees. This year it has become a careful chess game with the low inventory, the blizzard situations in the mountains and the new more limiting and expensive permitting process. Yes, I lurk around these tree farms and kick tires and take mental notes about what's going on. And I can guarantee if you have a hotel lobby or a beautiful home with vaulted ceilings and you want the tree to go all the way to the ceiling - this is your best bet.

Really frustrated about not being able to bring my entire family along. We are outside, pumpkins come from farms, and yet dogs are not allowed at all of the "best" pumpkin patches (service animal only limitations are extremely irritating). If you want snacks and rides then go to the "better" pumpkin patches. If you want to be able to bring your whole family (well-behaved pets welcome!) and support local business come here. I saw two young boys play fighting in the patch and nobody even blinked. Yet my dogs that are well trained and better behaved than a majority of adults I meet are not welcomed? A worker here gave my dog treats, and hid the treats so kids don't accidentally eat them. The people that work here care and they have my business going forward.

We did not enter the trail until 720pm, and that is after getting in line at 640pm. Just be aware. Which is fine, my family had fun and the actors inside are funny and well rehearsed. However, since we waited so long, we got out of the trail around 750pm. My kid wanted to play the carnival games, which close at 8pm, so we bought some tickets to play, and were out to the carnival by 752pm, they had already taken everything down and had only a few simple games still up. My kid was bummed, but I figured since there were no refunds, I could go back and get a snack instead with my tickets. I was denied and told to come back next week to redeem the tickets. I know this is all for a good cause and it really isn't too big of a deal, but it is silly that I literally bought the tickets within a minute and then walked back after the carnival being closed and then denied to even use the tickets on anything else and then told to come back next week. They were told not to sell any tickets since they were closing up the carnival early, but I guess it wasn't communicated well. I guess we will be back to use up the tickets next weekend...?

No root, leaf, or berry will go uneaten. Especially the berries. We've been enjoying this delicious fresh bounty for over 5 years. Everything is amazing. The veggies are always perfect. Best I've ever had. Sweet, ripe, crispy, deliciousness. I even got my parents to sign up. I want to give a fair assessment: After 5+ years, we've received the occasional fruit that is disappointing - Cara Cara oranges are the best oranges I've ever tasted, but the strawberries picked at full ripeness sometimes only have a day or two left before spoiling, and stone-fruit like peaches, nectarines, or plums are occasionally be less juicy or sweet, probably depending on the weather that year. We still eat it all, even the kale, and the abundance of zucchini that arrives each summer. But our most difficult item has always been the beets. I love them, but my household thinks beets taste like dirt. I've tried dozens of different preparations, even my wife's grandmother's polish chocolate beet cake recipe, but to no avail. I had reverted to giving beets away to friends and neighbors because I couldn't eat them all myself. But no longer! Bring on the beets! (Lettuce Turnip the Beet!) I have a new trick up my sleeve: Beet Kvass - and I can drink it all day. Sooooo easy to make. In short: Raw, unpeeled, chopped beets go in a salt water brine, and get left in a warm dark place for about a week or two until the juice is funky, healthy, and delicious. Second stage fermentation (put the juice in a flip-top bottle) is optional and enables carbonation. Delicious! (Posting because I'm overdue for an update, but everything I said in my previous review still stands.)

They had bouncy houses, paintings and some which you can take pictures with by putting your face in. Some paintings included G-Force, Lilo & Stitch, Toy Story, Monsters Inc, Patrick & Spongebob, and etc. They even have the weird looking pumpkins which they called it "Aliens". Lol. You pay by the size of the pumpkins which ranges from $1-$12 which is the biggest. I was surprised how much perfect pumpkins they had cause at grocery store and stuff they look so ugly loll.
