Normally we would just go out and buy a case or so but with Covid and Supply Chain issues, stores were not able to get bulk shipments which meant that you had to go to multiple bottles. Started out at Total Wine and More in Birkdale and scored 4 bottles. Next tried Wine Maestro and despite the fact that it was 11:30am, there were no cars in the parking lot, lights were off and doors locked. Went to Olive Garden for lunch and while I was there, I called the store. Someone answered and I asked if they were open, and they said yes and they had been there from the time the store opened. Explained I what I was looking for as well. I explained that I had been there 30 to 45 minutes earlier and the lights were off, doors locked and no cars in the lot. The gentleman on the other end of the line said I was wrong and besides, they don't carry the Biltmore Wine. I don't like dealing with this type of untruthfulness. They also tell you when there are rebates, sales or specials applicable to an item you buy. At the risk of sounding redundant there is a welcomed professionalism to the way Government ABC Stores operate as opposed to liquor stores in another state or an off license store (which is what liquor stores are called) in Europe. They are not quite as large as some of the other ABC Stores in Charlotte, but they have everything you could want and the shelves are always stocked, neat and the prices are clearly marked. I like that it is located in a convenient shopping center. It's directly on George Lyles along with my favorite grocer, a great pizzeria, pharmacy and plenty of well lit parking nearby.
