Came out and amazed me on the minimal digging needed to access my septic tank.

He was receptive to providing restitution to the fact that the initial inspection put me out over $1,000 dollars. I appreciated the fact that he was willing to reach out to make things right. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I used Banks Septic to inspect the septic system for a new home my family and I are purchasing. To their credit, I did call them the day of to inspect the system in order to get it in before due diligence ended. They fit me in the day of albeit "after hours" (an additional $200 charge) and $250 for the inspection. Their technician showed up after 5pm, and had the current home owner release permission for him to dig on the property. While digging up the septic tank, the technician severed a private water line in the backyard prompting him to turn off the main water line to THE ENTIRE HOUSE freaking out the current homeowner, my realtor, and the sellers realtor. How he didn't realize that a private water pipe with no water coming out of in the backyard had no impact on the main water line to the house that had already been marked by 811 is beyond me. Trying to manage the crisis from afar, I had to pay $650 to have an after hours plumber come and repair the pipe because the current homeowner was scared to turn the water back on based off his conversation with the technician. When I called Banks the next day to speak with someone, I was told and I quote, "we don't have x-ray vision to see private water lines underground, we aren't liable for anything our technician did" and "I'll have my manager, Roger, call you (he never did)." I understand that mistakes happen but this mistake by their tech cost me $650. I sure would like to speak with someone from their company to at least get reimbursed for the inspection and waive the after hours fee if they ever expect repeat business or a referral from me in the future.

Very disappointed in the service we did not receive after postponing our first date and not…read morearriving this morning as requested on this new date.

DO NOT HIRE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hired Mr. Ron McManus to fix a septic tank issue where he…read morehad replaced a pump in one of two holding tanks. After 2 weeks, the alarm on my septic rang out and, as I was out of town, relied upon Mr. Ron McManus to fix the problem. He stated that both my pumps needed to replaced as did the entire drain field to cost me over $6000,he had already replaced the one pump for over $1000. He demanded $800 upfront, which I had to have my neighbors give him because I was out of town, then demanded another $3600 because his suppliers would not give him credit (red flag). I hired another company to come out and pump out the tank that would hold me until I got back. When the qualified company came out and subsequently fixed the problem, the problem was that Ron McManus did not put in a high enough horsepower pump in the first place and the liquid was not getting to the other pumping station so it filled the tank and the alarm went off. McManus put a 1hp versus the correct 2hp pump and that WAS the problem. My problem was created by Mr. Ron McManus which he was going to "fix" for over $6000. The other pump as well as the drainfield was inspected by the qualified technician and was found the be fine. I am currently trying to get my $800 back from Mr. Ron McManus because there is absolutely no evidence that he did anything at all but cannot find him now. If anyone knows how to reach him, please let me know. There is a law suit waiting for him. I cannot tell anyone reading this enough to STAY AWAY from him as in my opinion, and what I have been through, he is a con man waiting to figure out how to fraudulently separate you from your money. There should be a negative star(s) for people who are con artists and actively look to take advantage of people. DO NOT HIRE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
