Plus the customer service from here was as good as it gets. They had a great selection of tequila and bourbon. The coolers were well stocked as well. Loved the atmosphere here! I walked in to Frank Sinatra music playing and some awesome prohibition era style paintings above the beer coolers! The customer service out performs any party store or liquor store I've ever frequented. The taste testing of wines, tequilas and other assortments of spirits makes this store a welcoming place more than an in-and-out. I would suggest a visit on a Saturday afternoon if you have time. Each associate is kind, which tells of their culture. The owner is beyond approachable and is willing to lend his knowledge even during high traffic times. The selection of beers- local craft, imports and domestic brews rivals Horrocks and definitely beats them on price. They stock many specialities and sell individuals of local craft brews. You can make multi-packs without commitment and come back for a 6 or 12 of your favorite. They are well rehearsed on the seasonal selections have them ready early for parties and events. If you need a bulk amount they typically have all you need. Oh and they have nice 2 for sales and bulk buy sales. The quality of their finest spirits range from the $ Ripple to the $$$ Green Label. There are so many shelves that you can find anything in your price range at the State rate. You won't need to shop for a lower cost. They also have nice accompaniments like pickles, chips, salami, cheeses, gum and other snacks. I don't come for the wine and beer accoutrements but it's a save in a pinch. read more

Out of this world customer service . There are extremely simple things that make a business stand out to you and make you want to spend your money there. I stopped by to pick up some wine quickly instead of driving to a grocery store. The store owner walked around the store with us showing us the organic sulfite and sulfate free wines available . He took his time and was so welcoming and had great energy. He even took us to the back of the store and offered us samples of Michigan made wine such as honey wine, blueberry wine and I believe the honey wine had hints of coffee and strawberry. I absolutely love this store. I am fortunate enough to live just down the street from it and plan to only buy alcohol from this place. Great prices, I was really surprised by that as you often don't find low prices in "small" liquor stores but that is the other thing. Don't let the small appearing front fool you. The liquor store is very deep plus at the front has shelves so high it will make you dizzy but also delighted as they have so many liquors. I could spend hours just looking around here. Most importantly though are the hardworking employees/owner. They are friendly, well-informed and just wonderful people and I have never had a bad experience at this place and highly recommend it. read more

The main reason I'm giving this place a low score is because all the liquor is being the counter and the wall is like 12-15ft tall. Hard to see and not very comfortable to take time and decide on a new whiskey when a lot of the good stuff is that high. There are other stores where the bottles are staged low enough where people can walk the isles, hold the bottle, read over the label, and get a feel for if you really want to spend money on a good scotch or a really smooth bourbon. The setup they have there resembles a store that is nervous about people stealing. On top of that the workers did not appear to be knowledgeable. I could be wrong but, other places have workers that ask questions that help them steer you towards a good bottle you'll be happy with. They were really nice however. read more

Stopped into ABC Liquor after passing it by the last few months (traffic on Saginaw is kind of a bummer) and was both surprised and impressed by the service and selection. I chatted with the owner (Steve) about wine and he suggested a bottle comfortably within my price range. The liquor selection is among the best in the area, and Steve was willing and eager to order anything I might me looking for (mezcal) that wasn't in stock. My husband and I are cocktail enthusiasts, so a go-to place for harder to find items is a real "plus;" I picked up a bottle of absinthe on this trip. Lastly, I learned that there is a wine tasting event there tomorrow evening (a Friday). It seems that they do events like this with some regularity and it is nice to have the business really cultivate clientele in that way. read more
