Interesting. I'd say patchogue is better in the fall when these crowds die down but I do enjoy getting to see and meet all the new people AA5 has brought. Parking is a nightmare and I'm not telling any of you my secrets. Good luck. Honestly a street festival is a street festival and the crowds are a love/hate relationship; businesses make bank but deal with a lot of BS, a lot of towns are modeling themselves after patchogue and this party. The melting pot of patchogue wannabe hippies, fist pumping meatheads, punk kids, selfie skanks, young and old alike seem to get along for the most part. There have been issues but that doesn't take a festival, there's always a bad apple. It's always fun to let loose now and again; on a nice night this place can be fun. It can also get old but there's a reason people travel from all over this island just to gather together and check it out. It's family friendly at first and then you. Enter hide your wife and hide your kids... it's downright unruly, drunken zombies like me are everywhere. Be careful and lighten up, you'll have a decent time. If it's not your thing... maybe stay home?

I hired Happy Little Brush Strokes as a painting activity for a bachelorette party, and the company was so easy to work with from start to finish. I reserved my date several months in advance because their calendar fills up quickly! You're able to choose one of the paintings from their website and adapt it to what you need. I chose to paint full-sized wine bottles (and place fairy lights inside of the bottle so it lights up!) since the bachelorette party was "wine themed." The price was $30 per person for the experience. I believe if you choose to paint a canvas, it's $25 per person. Happy Little Brush Strokes came all the way out to Greenport, Long Island to do this activity. The instructor, Bob, was an absolute delight, who was filled with so much positive energy! He provided everything we needed for the event (paint, brushes, water cups, the wine bottles, fairy lights). The only thing we needed to provide were tables, table cloths, and chairs for our group of 7. The experience took just over two hours, and everyone had an amazing time!

There is an unremarkable mural on the wall to the North, but the true attraction here is the Hans Gabali painting on the Southern wall. It features old-timey sights of South Ocean Avenue (see pics): 1. A dedication for the Incorporated Village Centennial. 2. Imagery of the (now bygone) Suffolk Traction Company. 3. The old Academy Street School (which is also gone). 4. An early Twentieth Century depiction of the Southeast buildings of the Four Corners. 5. The new space is massive, open, and beautifully laid out, with tons of room to hang out and enjoy a drink. We chose to stay outside with Luna since the weather was perfect, and the outdoor setup didn't disappoint. It had a relaxed, upbeat vibe and plenty of space for both people and pups. The brewery felt lively but not overwhelming, and the wide-open layout made it easy to spread out and unwind. If you haven't been to their new location yet, it's definitely worth the trip--especially on a nice day when you can enjoy the dog-friendly outdoor area. Great beer, great atmosphere, and a great way to wrap up the day!

There are also a few private study rooms to reserve, but unfortunately they're only available to people who live in bayport bluepoint specifically. I wouldn't mind this, except when I was told this, all the rooms were open. It would be nice to allow others to use the rooms if they're available, and just prioritize bayport blue point residents, which is what my home library does.
