I cannot say enough about CHRISTIAN'S PAINTERS (I believe Christian, the Owner is in the process of changing the business name to reflect that he is actually a Full Service General Contractor). He is also licensed with the VA Board for Contractors (VA DPOR) and his company is insured & bonded. I was given his name & number by one of his previous Client/Customer. I called and left a message for Christian & within a couple hours my call was returned (I'm still waiting for other "contractors" to call me...LOL!!). We agreed on a date/time when he could stop by & give me an estimate....Chris was actually 15 minutes early for the appointment! I showed him what I needed repaired and after I was finished, he pointed out other "items" that I was not even aware of...and He was NOT doing it for extra work. ! He just wanted me to be aware. I quickly learned Christian is a "Perfectionist/Type-A Person" who BELIEVES IN DOING HIS WORK RIGHT THE FIRST TIME and Takes PRIDE in His Work! Anyhow, I am the second owner of a 7 year old townhouse that was "built" by a well-known Northern VA Home Builder. I was upset to learn certain items should have: (1) Been pointed out by the Home Inspector I paid when I bought my home & (2) The problems should have been picked up by the Home Builder's Site Supervisor(s) BEFORE my townhouse initially Sold. He informed me of many issues that were NEVER "to code!" Anyhow, Christian's estimate was comparable to other estimates I received and I chose him because of his HONESTY & the References I contacted absolutely LOVED HIS WORK......I now understand why they did! Chris & his worker's treated my home as if it was their own and they Completely Cleaned up their work area(s) as they went & they also cleaned their work areas before they left for the day. They arrived precisely at 8:30 every day....they only took a 30 minute lunch break....and they left between 4:30/5:00 each day. After all the work was completed, I realized he had done little things that were not even on the estimate....like repairing some "nail pops" on the wall (I learned the Home Builder's SubContractors hung the drywall with a NAIL GUN, instead of Drywall Screws!!) near the door he had to "Reframe;" because, my door was NEVER HUNG CORRECTLY. I could see Daylight between the door & doorframe....not to mention the cold air in the winter. When I asked him about it, he said, "that's just the way I work because I want my customers to be happy and that's the way I was taught." I will never use anyone else to do my work. I hired his Company to: (1) tile" my kitchen backsplash (2) power wash my home/deck/fence, (3) complete a bathroom remodel, (4) instal a kitchen light, and (5) rehang the door to my deck because I could see daylight and cold air was coming in, and (6)repaint my fence & deck (I had them power washed & painted when I bought my home 2 years ago and the Contractor did not do a good job!).....Christian only uses Sherwin Williams paint. The "other contractor" used Behr paint...UGH! I learned Behr is not a quality paint. No wonder paint was peeling off of my fence and deck. Christian also told me all the "white spots" that were on some of my screens were left from when the "other contractor" power washed my home; because he didn't thoroughly rinse my windows/screens and didn't recheck them after they completely dried from being Power Washed, and (4) he ran electrical wiring, installed a new double-light switch to operate my new light and hung a new light above my kitchen table. I'm so happy I found a reputable, reliable, and honest contractor to do the home improvements I need.
