My son (4 y.o) has been there for about a year now, at first everything was good for about the…read morefirst 6 months, then it the issues started with my son, now at this time, I was still looking for help for a Behavior Consultant as he was not listening, exhibiting bad behaviors (not just developed on his own, but learned from other kids as well), and some other minor issues. Finally after about 11 months of waiting, I received a Behavioral Consultant for my son, at first, everything went well, he started to learn how to express his emotions A TON better, instead of having temper tantrums, etc., then he went back to his "troublesome" self (Ms. Sharona there labeled my son as a "troublemaker" and another kid, as I was told by the owner/director, Maureen. This is where it gets interesting, I received a call from his therapists (my son has 3 total) and all said the same thing, "I really think you need to have your son removed from that daycare as it is a negative atmosphere and it is not good for him", the therapists explain what was witnessed at that daycare and I was in SHOCK, claiming my son was being screamed at by Ms. Sharona (there is one other female teacher in that room with 14 to 18 kids, honestly should be 3 teachers, but it is what it is). Here is the kicker, the BC (Behavior Consultant) was there since August this year, almost on a weekly basis at the daycare (I admit, she had to reschedule once or twice, I have the dates as well), but she did her job and she also has everything documented and my son is doing EXCELLENT and is starting to self regulate his emotions, his behavior was getting better, etc., but then Ms. Sharona claims he is being horrible and acting out again after she leaves (just an FYI, the BC's job is to help my son and make sure that the caregiver (Sharona)TRANSFERS those skills down to my son to put him back on track). LONG AND BEHOLD, I come to find out that the CAREGIVER (Sharona) is NOT transferring the skills down to my son to help him, BC stated (again, this is all documented) that "Sharona refused to do transfer those skills, he should not receive special treatment, he should just listen". Every kid has a different learning curve, my child was one of them, but I was in complete disbelief and astonished... let alone the BC has PROVED many many times over that her methods work, but if Ms. Sharona is not and/or refusing transferring those skills to him, then he will continue to act out. BC also provided alternatives for my son disrupting class (pretend drawing with his fingers in his desk on a piece of paper, or using his fidget toys to keep him occupied). Sharona replied with "he is not allowed to have toys as it is not fair to other children", "hands need to be on the desk" hence these were for my son to COPE with his issues, not just a "toy" (and they have these fidget bins/calm bins in all districts to help with hyperactive kids, ADHD, etc.). This does not help since my son was already labeled with another kid whom is labeled as well as "troublemakers" (not everything was my sons fault, but he got most of the blame while the other kids got away with it, this was told to me by all 3 therapists for my son as well). Owner (Maureen) stated that the one teacher quit because of my son and another kid, and now 2 teachers are about to quit again for the SAME 2 kids. Again, if these skills from the BC were transferred to my son when the bad behavior or act was noticed, we wouldn't of had an issue. I have done my job as a parent to help my son and follow what the BC says to me and I have no issues with my son at all anymore. If Ms. Sharona have just transferred what the BC stated, he would be fine. This place went from good to completely unprofessional, unacceptable and uncalled for. I finally pulled my son from this daycare and will not be recomm. to anyone else. FYI present/future parents that want to bring their child here that have/are getting services there for their child(ren), please pay attention and listen to what the therapists say, they do not lie and document EVERYTHING.

I specifically told them my child was still in a five point safety harness. Only to find out by my child and another mother at the bus stop they have been using an employees personal small car and placed my daughter up from with NO car seat and NO booster. Since the beginning of the school year! And the daycare van has not been working since last year! Took me 24 hours to get a call back from the owner who is always "out of town/on vacation" and was told "I don't trust the van so we use the employees cars". And "we got an extra kid and there isn't enough room in the back for three kids". This bus stop is three miles away from the center and the route traveled is two busy roads. I've never been so disgusted. This place has ruined all child care centers for me.

They made the transition a breeze, reassuring me through pictures and messages throughout the day that my son was doing great. My son is almost two now and we still receive pictures and updates throughout the day, it always makes my work day a little easier knowing he's having such a great time. We recently moved and the commute it a little further now but I wouldn't have thought for a second to switch daycares.

The thought of leaving my baby with strangers, terrified me. Until I met these "strangers". The teachers at ACP are the kindest humans, and my kid practically thinks they hung the moon. My daughter is a spirited, sensitive, and independent kid. It can be hard to balance when to let her do her thing & when to reel her in. But, her teachers know that balance, and she is so incredibly comfortable and nurtured there, that she always talks about some great thing she learned or cool thing her teachers did- as a working parent, that is the best feeling in the world!
