Our kids often don't want to leave at pick up which we take as a great sign! KA is also great about communicating if there are any issues that happen during the day (ie. A fall, kiddo not feeling well, etc.). Would definitely recommend!

As someone who has worked for many years as both a teacher and Director, I am extremely selective about who is educating and taking care of my children on a daily basis. My oldest son was enrolled at two other schools before we finally found Kiddie Academy. Unfortunately, his experiences at the other schools were subpar (to put it nicely), and left both of us slightly nervous about taking a chance in a new environment. However, after touring Kiddie Academy, I knew it was exactly the nurturing and educational environment I wanted both my children to experience. My oldest son is currently in the Kindergarten program and he comes home everyday with stories about all the things he has learned and all the fun he has had. The curriculum is phenomenal and the teachers go above and beyond to engage the children in hands-on learning activities. My youngest son started attending the toddler program this spring and has been having a wonderful time learning through play, meeting with friends, and getting to know his teachers. The school is clean, safe, and well maintained which is important to me. However, even more importantly, the teachers at the school are phenomenal! I have no doubt that all of the educators are well-trained, communicative, and care for each child as if they were their own! I always wanted my children to be at a school where the teachers treated them with the utmost respect and compassion and this school has exceeded my expectations. When I walk through Kiddie Academy, all the teachers smile, make eye contact, and are welcoming and that means a lot to me. All of the staff are professionals who I happily entrust the care of my "most prized possessions" to on a daily basis and I couldn't be more thankful to have that peace of mind.

My daughter has been enrolled since June 1 and since has come home everyday with new and great learning experiences. The teachers Miss Sarah and Miss Linda know my child well. She gets in school and immediately sits on the teachers lap. The other teachers in other rooms also seem to know my daughter as well, including the owner Miss Jill and the director, Miss Sandy, even parents of other children in her room generally know my child and greet her. The place is very clean, very new, with great activity areas for kids including a large indoor gym. I feel that this would be a very great place for me to continue my child's education, in loving, fun environment.

They are both very approachable, and from my experience, we can walk in at any time to discuss any thing about my child. The facility is extremely clean, I notice the teachers and staff picking up toys that the children may have mouthed, they wipe down tables, and changing stations constantly. They even have buckets in each room for toys that need to be cleaned, toys that were cleaned, and toys that are drying! The toddler room mini bathroom stalls aside from being cute are exceptionally clean as well. ALL of the staff/teachers are very friendly and knowledgable. They greet everyone coming in which gives the center a positive vibe. The security in the building is amazing. From iPads to check your child in/out, to a special entry security system...we leave feeling that our child is in safe and secure hands. My son loves to play there and in the few months that he has attended, we have noticed that he is learning so much. He comes home singing songs he learned, he talks about animals he's learned about, he talks about his friends and teachers at school, etc. It's proof that he is truly having a fun and educational experience!

I sent my children to Hope because my brothers and sisters all went to there and I knew it was a good school with amazing teachers and a lot of friends still recommended it. I do not have any plans to send my third child there as my experience this year was unacceptable. In past years there's been some issues here and there with the director. One was when my son had eye surgery; an effect of it was extremely bloodshot eyes. He was self conscious about it to begin with but then on his first day back at school the director announces loudly Oh My God what happened to his eyes. An adult should know not to do something like that and if she had questions she could have asked myself privately or his teachers who were well aware of the surgery and the side effects and had been prepping the kids for my son's return. Another issue we had was the director waited extremely long to cash checks. Months would go by and they wouldn't be cashed. But the kicker and final straw occured this year while my son as well as many others approached his teacher and the director about a bullying situation. Another child was picking on the boys of the class and hitting, pinching, kicking etc. This went on and on and on and the teacher didn't really do much. So finally myself and another parent addressed it to the director who let it roll right down her back like it was nothing. It got to the point where kids were terrified to go to school because of this child but since the school accepts all children they could not do anything. They also have no anti-bully rules and were unwilling to create them for the current school year. One day my son came home from school actually bleeding from the child and again I was told that they didn't actually see it happen so nothing would be done unless they could see it. She then went on to tell me that you can't just accuse people without facts even though 50% of the class had admitted to parents as well as the teacher they've been bullied. My response to that was look at the legal system every day criminals go on trial based on assumptions and she agreed that was a good point but I was still wrong and they would continue doing things they way she felt was best. She actually told me that they've only ever removed one child from their program due to the fact he continuously threw chairs!!!! I couldn't believe what I was hearing that a child had to on more than one occassion throw chairs at people before they were removed from the school. I want my children to be safe when they go to school and that statement right there proved that they are not safe at Hope Church Nursery School.

Felt inspired to give a personal perspective on hope in response. Hope is a wonderful place. Terrific, experienced teachers, a great group of kids and families, and charming and fun term end concerts. Our kids have great memories of Hope, and I still remember dropping off teary three year olds on the first day only to have them later on refuse to leave at the end of the morning because they loved their time there so much. It is a classic nursery school, probably not much different than the one I attended 4 decades ago, run by a warm and energetic director and fantastic teachers. We were lucky to have had the kids there.
