Owner, director and the directors friend are all petty, unprofessional and act like high schoolers…read more They talk badly about the children, the parents and their co workers. They talk to the parents very condescending and always seem miserable. Aside from management and one particular teacher the teachers are very friendly and caring and most have great communication with you about your child. The owner and the director should both be the most important people at this center and the ones who are present the most. Neither are there to open and rarely ever is one there to close. You should feel comfortable going to them with questions and or concerns not feeling like you are going to be talked about or have your business shared with everyone or have it be taken out on your child once you leave The owner and director promote and condone bullying. They are the first ones to gossip not only about families but about their employees and they have no problem pinning employees against eachother. They are the epitome of bully. When you entrust a center with your child you should not feel as though you need to keep quiet about concerns in fear of upsetting management. They should be happy to talk to you and explain anything you need clarification on. And when they do not and you choose to do you research and find out answers on code and regulations you should not be punished for it. It is your right as a parent to do so. I was told by a teacher that another teacher said she no longer liked my child due to the fact that she no longer liked it's mother. And when the owner was confronted with this her and her director were kore concerned about finding out who told me this statement was said than handling the situation and representing their employee that said it. I expressed my concern on wanting my child (18 months old) to have sunscreen put on when taken outside due to very fair skin and family history of skin cancer and the owner said I should take the 30 seconds at 6 am before dropping him off that her staff has better things to do then log th paper work this would entail. The next day the director went and hugged my child to sniff him to see if he had sun screen on because of not then obviously it was not a big deal to me. Their own employees do not agree with what goes on there and that is how I find these things out. My child no longer attends Sandspring because after contacting DPW and forewarning the owner I was doing so I picked up my child and received a termination letter. All because I did my research and found out the owner was lying to me about state regulations! My son has been somewhere else for two weeks and I couldn't be happier. I do miss most of the teachers because they were wonderful but "A bad manager can take a good staff and destroy it, causing the best employees to flee and the remainder to lose all motivation"

It is always appreciated as well that if I call requesting updates of how my children are doing or if I call with any questions or concerns the owner or director always take the time to speak with me. They have guidelines required by the state that they follow to keep all children as safe and healthy as possible. Truly having all the children's best interest at heart. I can not thank them enough for all that they do.

My kids have attended the daycare since birth. My first was colic and was on acid reflux medicine…read morehe cried non stop. The infant room teacher worked with me for suggestions and anything that would work or help me and them. They also agreed to work with cloth diapers with me. Later my son had torticollis and had a therapist coming to work with him at the daycare. They were great & very accommodating. Being a new mom I called sometimes 2-3 times a day to check in and never did they get annoyed with me, they always gave me details on how he was and what he did that day. It was nice to hear when your at work missing your baby. Any time I have questions or comments in anything that is happening at daycare Tom and Amy are always willing to solve any thing that comes up. They truly love the kids, they go out of their way to make the kids day. It could be a cereal they ask for, a pajama day, or just making them feel special helping a teacher by being a helper. Tom and Amy are dedicated to the daycare, they work with you. I can't explain how grateful I am to have met Tom, Amy and the staff at Park Avenue. They are wonderful!

Hello, I am writing…read morein regards to Park Avenue Kids Corner in Neffs, Pennsylvania. My significant other and I recently enrolled our nineteen (19) month old daughter into the daycare on 11/17/2014. Our daughter has GERD and Gastroparesis which was made aware to the owner and managers. This posed no issue to them and they quickly enrolled her in their facility. My significant other also started employment through this day-care on the same day. On 11/18/2014, we received a phone call from the co-owner (Amy Sandholm) that our daughter and her mother were being kicked out and fired because it "was not working out". Our daughter was said to not be "adjusting" to the day-care setting. I find it extremely difficult to believe that all children adjust to day-care schedules in one and a half days. On 11/19/2014, we contacted Amy and all went up to collect our extra materials from the day care. Amy curtly greeted us and told us that our items were at the front and wished us "good luck". The owner, Tom Sandholm did not acknowledge us at all and refused to talk to us. I asked Amy to elaborate as to why the situation did not work out; she could give no specific reason. Amy gave such an ambiguous reason as to why my significant other was terminated and why my daughter was kicked out of day-care. As parents, we have the right to know. Needless to say, we left the facility flustered and hurt. This family lost $250~ between required background check mail orders, doctor physical co-pays, and lost possible income due to this day-care. In addition, the day-care took our tuition check for the full amount (11/17/2014 - 11/21/2014) when they were the ones who terminated the contract. Our Christmas holiday is severely in jeopardy due to this facility This family is hurt, plain and simple. My daughter asks why she cannot go back and I die inside every time she does; she feels like an outcast. I hope this facility does not get their third star in your program, they do not deserve it in the least bit. I plan on going through the Better Business Bureau in the event my significant other does not receive her paycheck, or the day-care takes pay for days my daughter was kicked out. Thank you for your time and ears

This is a daycare you do not want to send your child to if they are less then perfect. They maybe…read morea Keystone stars 4 daycare but in all actuality they are a -4 facility. Since, my child started they have done nothing but try and get him to leave. When I contacted the daycare initially for him to start they were told by me he has services with the IU for behavior they said they can accommodate. Yeah until they start sucking up all your money and after two weeks of the start date they were trying to push him out stating they don't believe this is the right place for him. I contacted PA keys to advise them of there tactics they came to check it out was ok for awhile but didn't last. It was to the point they started making up stories of his unruley behavior that he needed to get picked up from the daycare which was the last straw for me and was needing to leave work because of this. So word of advise DO NOT PICK THIS DAYCARE UNLESS YOU HAVE A PERFECT CHILD!!!!

And this is not only coming from a very satisfied momma, but I am also a certified early childhood educator with a Masters Degree in Education. I am one of the pickiest moms you could ever imagine when selecting an early learning center for my daughter. I know exactly what to look for and the questions to ask. The curriculum is play based which is what is developmentally appropriate for this age. The classrooms all have teachers with a passion for children & teaching, degrees in early childhood education, and years of experience. They are also very nurturing and just amazing. We love the Cuddle Zone and recommend them to everyone we can! Please do not let the first review to deter you from visiting the center and forming your own opinion! I assure you....you will love it!
