Subject: Formal Complaint -- Employee Threats, Verbal Harassment, Aggressive Conduct, and Customer Safety Concerns
Dear Mr. Creedon and Mr. Mitchell,
I am writing to bring to your immediate attention a serious incident involving an employee at your Dollar Tree location at 105-18 Rockaway Boulevard, Ozone Park, NY 11417, on November 4, 2026, at approximately 8:15 AM.
While shopping inside your establishment, I experienced what I consider threatening, harassing, intimidating, and highly unprofessional conduct from one of your employees.
The employee began ordering me around in an aggressive and disrespectful manner. The confrontation escalated to the employee using profanity, making verbal threats, approaching me aggressively, and ordering me to leave the store.
I found this conduct unacceptable and concerning for my personal safety.
I have extensive professional experience in security, customer service, and conflict management. I understand the importance of maintaining professionalism, particularly when interacting with members of the public.
I entered this store as a customer intending to shop peacefully. I did not expect to be subjected to hostility, verbal abuse, or intimidation.
I recorded the incident on video and am prepared to provide the original recording for an appropriate corporate investigation.
I am requesting that your corporate office and legal department:
1. Immediately open a formal investigation into this incident.
2. Preserve all surveillance footage from approximately 8:00 AM through 8:45 AM on November 4, 2026.
3. Identify and interview the employee involved and any witnesses.
4. Review the employee's conduct for potential violations of company policies.
5. Take appropriate corrective or disciplinary action if misconduct is substantiated.
6. Provide written acknowledgment of my complaint and a corporate case reference number.
7. Provide a substantive written response within 10 business days, or advise me when the investigation is expected to conclude.
I also request that any relevant records, employee statements, incident reports, and electronic evidence be preserved.
This matter goes beyond an ordinary customer service disagreement. Threatening or intimidating behavior toward customers raises serious concerns about safety, accountability, and the standards of conduct expected within your organization.
I expect this matter to receive appropriate executive-level attention rather than being dismissed as a routine store complaint.
I reserve the right to pursue appropriate additional remedies, including reporting any potentially unlawful threats to the proper authorities.
I respectfully request a timely and professional resolution.
Sincerely,
Mr. Dupree
