Abby was so patient with me in my requests for my dress! I thought I wanted one thing and after making it happen I changed my mind and without hesitation she fixed it for me right away! She's realistic with her time frame in getting the order done! I thought I was going to change into a post ceremony dress but I ended up staying in my dress the entire day because I just couldn't take it off! read more

Seriously, stop right here Abby is your godsend! I am kicking myself for waiting so long to do this review. On top of her super sweet personality, and best in class customer service, she turned my wedding dress into my wildest dream come true. I found her on yelp, and after reading her story on her personal page I already knew she would be my gal. My Story: Ever since I was a little girl and found out my mom kept her wedding dress, I always knew I would wear it someday. As we pulled the dress out of storage, I realized how 80's the sleeves were and wanted to bring those babies to this decade's styles, however keep the timeless/vintage look to the dress. Not only was Abby going to "cut up" my wedding dress, but my mother's too! Que anxiety. BUT the first time I met with her I left feeling 100% confident in her. Fast forward, this girl took my vision and manifested it into more magic than I could have ever come up with on my own. Grandma cried, mom bawled, and I felt my most beautiful self on my special day. Abby you are a master of your craft, both creatively and logistically. I will never forget what you did for me and how much of an impact you had on a day I hold closest to my heart. read more

Abby was so helpful, easy going, and reliable as I prepped for my wedding. The lace overlay was too baggy and she worked hard to get it just right. I loved how the dress fit and would recommend her to anyone. When I have other complex or special alterations I would go to her in a heartbeat. read more

Abby altered my wedding dress that I bought as a resale. She took the initial measurements and estimated where to let loose fabric on the bottom and tighten it up near the top. She suggested slight alterations that I didn't even think of to make the dress fit better (ex: getting rid of some extra material on the top, adding a bustle, adding reenforcement to the straps). One week later, I went back to try on the dress and it fit absolutely perfect. I am so grateful for Abby - she turned a resale dress into my dream dress! She also made my veil for $30. I wanted something simple and short - it was great to be able to customize it with Abby instead of going to a wedding store and paying $200 for the same thing. Abby is very sweet and accommodating. She is reliable and such a talented seamstress. Highly recommend to anyone looking for important alterations for a big event. Side note - she also hemmed my mom's dress and tightened the straps - and she rocked that too. read more

Abby is incredibly sweet! She is so patient and such an expert at what she does. Her prices are extremely affordable and her turnaround time is so fast. She is a perfectionist and definitely gets the job done quickly. I'm an extremely petite girl so I needed some help fitting into my dress. My dress was strapless and my biggest fear was that it would be too loose to wear it throughout the night. Abby made it fit perfectly and it was so comfortable - I had no issues with it and I never once had to think about my dress or the fit of it during my wedding. I also had Abby create a bustle for my dress and she did an excellent job. She is amazing at what she does and no one could tell that my dress had been altered from a size 6 to probably a size 00. I couldn't have been happier to find and meet Abby. If you're looking for someone who is experienced, sweet, patient and easy to work with, give Abby a call. You will definitely not regret it. Quality service at a great price! I'm already saving her number for my sister. :P read more

Abby is AH-MAZING! After having such a crummy experience at the bridal salon (look for the review on that one) where someone dropped the ball with the arrival of my dress, I did not want to part with it and leave it in the hands of a business I do not trust. So I pulled out my trusty Yelp app and looked for a seamstress. Abby is so sweet and really does her best to make sure your gown looks like it was hand made for you! Her prices are so reasonable and she works QUICK! I mean FAST! I loved working with her so much that I told my groom and his groomsmen to go see her to get their outfits tailored by her. I think pictures will speak volumes of her work than words so let me post some wedding day pictures! read more

I have sooo many great things to say about Abby! But I'll try to keep it short and sweet for you guys. I got her name from a bridal consultant and texted her to make an appointment. She responded promptly, and was able to give me an appointment quickly. If I'm not mistaken my dress was ready quickly - within a month of my initial consultation. She is professional and a joy to work with. My dress looked incredible. Everyone at my wedding commented that my dress was absolutely made for me, it fit like a glove. Oh, and did I mention that the price is right? All my alterations cost less that what I was quoted for just the bustle alone at other bridal shops. Thank you Abby! read more

This review is LONG overdue. My wedding was planned to be in July of 2020, but you know how that story goes, COVID threw us a curveball and we had to postpone our big celebration for an entire year. We tried to make our original date work until the very last minute when everything shut down again. I found Abby in early 2020. I was having trouble finding anyone open and/or willing to work in the pandemic, but luckily she made time to see me. She was extremely professional, asked all the necessary questions, and gave me a quote for every specific alteration I needed. And it was a very fair quote. I met her just a few months before our original date for my first fitting and she was the sweetest. So down to earth and very welcoming. She even told me about her gorgeous wedding dress that she made for her own wedding day! The fitting went great and she asked me to come back in a week to try it on again. I did and it was beautiful! She did everything I asked (hemmed the multiple layers, added a bustle, sewed on the added belt, sewed on the straps and made them removable. She also steamed it so it would be ready to go). She was even able to quickly fix a couple things she noticed once I tried it on so that I could take it home right away. It was perfect! A year goes by and I try on my dress again for our 2021 wedding and of course, it no longer fits perfectly. I frantically email Abby to see if there was anything she could do and she was more than happy to fix anything to make it perfect. We brought it in and she fixed it in about a week. The most amazing part was that she charged me almost nothing! She is such an angel. You can tell she truly cares and loves what she does. I could not say enough nice things about her. She was wonderful! I would recommend her to absolutely anyone!!! read more

Abby is so friendly and great to work with. My dress needed pretty straightforward work and she turned it around in a week, she only works with one bride at a time and it really shows in the quality of her work. Her prices are extremely reasonable and she even referred me to a great place for suit alterations. read more

Where to begin!? I found Abby on Yelp, and after reading her reviews I knew I had to work with her. She was so incredibly kind and accommodating of my busy schedule. Abby even worked with me to love my dress. I went against all recommendations and chose a dress not made for my figure, but she did a phenomenal job adjusting the dress so it fit me like a glove. She finished my dress in just about 2 weeks - amazing! I can't thank Abby enough! read more

Abby took my dress from a nice off-the-rack dress... And turned it into MY DREAM wedding dress!! And it took some time and some steps. I changed my mind on the color of tulle I asked her to add... and then added glitter tulle at the last minute. She rolled with it all. While pregnant. She is an amazing person to work with! I would not hesitate to send any friend to her. She also shortened my MOH dress and TWO dresses for my mom (because, yes, I'm that indecisive). Loved how easy she was to get along with and communicate with. Thanks for all your hard work Abby!! read more

I was given a dress from someone dear to me for my wedding and it didn't quite fit. I found Abby here on yelp and gave her a call. She suggested two options, to bring out the dress or make it a corset style back. I liked that she would be able to create a corset style lace backing so I went with that and she did such a beautiful job! It came out perfect and everyone loved my dress! Thank you very much Abby! read more

I received my wedding dress from "Here comes the Bride" in Mission Valley. They wanted to charge a very pricey fee for alternations. A flat rate of $500 dollars. I was shocked. Seeing as my wedding day is 3 weeks away, I was a little concerned about finding somebody who would help me in that time frame. I did NOT feel comfortable with having my dress altered at "Here comes the Bride" I found Abby on Yelp! She has awesome reviews so I e-mailed her. Sadly since I am going out of town we were not able to set any appointments up but she was SO helpful and very nice. She gave me the numbers of 2 people she trusted to do alternations. I had my appointment with one of the gals today for alterations. She did a great job and the cost was $230. I suggest going to Abby and anyone she recommends. read more

I hired Abby to make alterations to my wedding dress after reading all her great Yelp reviews. She was so lovely to work with! I'm so, so glad I gave her a call and that she was available! I was very nervous because my wedding dress had a lot of intricate beading and needed the straps to be lengthened, the buttons loops on the back needed replacing, and my train needed a bustle. Abby did a fabulous job with everything and got everything done in less than two weeks. She is very sweet and amazing at her job, I highly recommend her! read more

Absolutely amazing. She completely changed the look of my wedding dress and understood my vision. Highly recommend!!

This lady is such a sweetheart! and most importantly you will be happy with whatever alterations she does. She very affordable and skilled. She's very attentive to details which is awesome. She caught some things on my wedding dress, a dirty spot and a dirty button that I missed when I got the dress, I'm glad she cleaned up and hemmed my dress as well as she did.She even left me with a few tips on how to handle minor stains on the dress. I highly recommend her ! She's in a very personal and sweet little spot from her home, which also adds a nice little touch. If you want to be happy go to Abby's ;) read more

I will definitely post again after I have real photos in my dress. Abby is AMAZING and I am not exaggerating. I found her on Yelp and saw the glowing reviews and thought "I have got to take my dress to Abby" and I am so glad I did. Abby did a beautiful job on my wedding gown! I've gotten tons of compliments on how perfectly it fit on my wedding day!

Abby is an efficient and reasonably-priced tailor. I'm petite and she was able to alter my wedding dress to fit like a glove. Our meetings went like clockwork. Each time I went for a fitting the dress became more and more "my dress" until it was perfect. Abby was helpful in deciding what type of alterations to make. She helped me decide if I should change the shape of the dress by tapering in my dress more and what type of bustle to have. I highly recommend going to Abby for any type of alterations. I already recommended her to a friend who is getting married in March. read more

Abby is amazing, plain and simple! She was able to hem and add a bustle to my wedding dress within a very quick turnaround time and she was an absolute delight to work with! She was very calm, patient, and willing to work with my schedule. Her pricing was very reasonable and she inspected my dress before measuring and noticed that I needed a zipper fixed at well. I am extremely grateful that people like Abby exist as she genuinely cares about her craft and is interested in providing the best service possible and offers great flexibility. When planning a wedding, finding all of these traits in a vendor is rare and often comes at a premium, but not with Abby. I will definitely be going back for any other major alterations. read more

Found Abby on here and trusted all of the wonderful reviews; was not disappointed! Bought my wedding dress from Prevue and it was the very last one and it was a little tight in the waist. I also needed the long train cut off and the boob cups moved. Abby helped me find the perfect length with my shoes, the correct spots to loosen, and suggested the cups be moved when I didn't even think of that. All of those fixes for only $100 AND she gets it done in only two weeks. Wish I had pictures to share right now. I will definitely recommend her to everyone! :) read more

What can I say about Abby? Her business matches her personality: sweet, competent, caring... She brings this wonderful love of what she does and of people to her work. Her work is excellent and her prices are very reasonable. She does what those pricey salons do for less and you get such quality care in the process. I purchased my dress from David's bridal and for some reason they stopped producing it in a size 2, which is my size. The stylist I had the day I purchased my dress recommended that I call Abby. I don't think I could have gone to a better place, she is so professional and sweet. Her pricing is perfect and my dress fits me like a glove. I can't wait for my wedding day to show off my dress. I will be recommending her to everybody. read more

Abby was a dream come true. Her prices are extremely affordable, and she can be completely trusted with wedding dresses. She did a lot of work on mine as I bought a sample dress that was too large. She had to raise it, take it in from the sides, sew in an undergarment piece, all while not compromising the embroidery and beading on the dress. Alterations can make or break your dress. Abby made it fit perfectly. Kind, considerate, and knowledgeable, she was seriously a blessing. I also found my veil with her!!! And it too was gorgeous and something that wouldn't break my budget. Abby is an absolute wizard! When I finally tried on my dress after her alterations, I almost cried from the excitement. My dress looked amazing, even more than when I tried it on the first time at the boutique. Abby is incredibly sweet, and her skills are definitely worth checking out. Turnaround time for my dress (which had at least 5 layers, 3 of which were lace) for a hem and taking in a size took about two weeks. Pricing is affordable and fair compared to what else is out there. I'd highly recommend Abby to attend to your wedding dress alteration needs.
