From some of the reviews, it appears to be a missed opportunity so where do I begin. I can recall as a junior enlisted service member my senior leadership stated, you are as successful as the subordinates you lead. Remember Top - Down. This reminded to that as I made it through the ranks to take care of my subordinates but it made me reflect on me leading the led. So it pains me to to write this review; that the worse customer service I experienced was from leadership team members of Choice Floors. Such a disregard to implement positive customer relations has significantly tarnished my perception of the company. It was the constant lack of empathy and management's unwillingness to listen that was most frustrating. Every time I tried to express my dissatisfaction, I was talked over and told how I was trying to change the company's policy which I found not only accusatory but offensive. Offensive, as this was an attack of my character and this supervisor has never met me or allowed me an opportunity to express my concerns in regards to what may well been a miscommunication in the payment terms. It felt like my concerns were not being heard or respected. Understanding this is a business, fostering good working relationships to render service for future prospects and productivity quintessential, however, when a member is not in agreeance with an upset customer, gets combative, spend time time spewing judgment while trying to prove them wrong instead of finding resolve and de-escalated the problem sets esprit de corps of the company back as the consumer has lost trust in the company's capability to be trustworthy. But why does it matter, as I was told this is just my opinion by said supervisor. While this may have started as a potentially good experience, the customer care of both the Retail Sales Manager and the Director Internal Operations left such a disdain image for this company that I could not let this lack of professionalism in customer care go unnoticed. It was very unsettling to be going back and forth over the phone with a business professional with such an elevated title. Rick's Carpet Cleaning Service provides 5star service for a great price…read more 1. Rick shows up on time and this alone is a rarity in the service industry. I don't know how many times I have a requested service performed and they almost never show up as scheduled. 2. The carpet had some awful stains in it from the previous owner and I really had no expectation that they would ever leave my sight. Well Rick performed a miracle and they disappeared. He made no guaranteed but gave me his word he would try and the net result a clean carpet. 3. Rick was pretty efficient and performed the carpet cleaning in the 3 areas requested in short order. I was truly impressed and we had the rest of the day to do other things. 4. The carpet was completely dry by the end of the day and stairs overnight. In summary if you want a great service at a good price by an outstanding person who cares about the service he provides then Rick is your man. I love supporting a local Calvert business and it was a pleasure having Rick clean my carpet.

I was at my mercy. So, I called his number here on Yelp even though it said his business is closed for the weekend and he answered his phone!!! Yasss!!!! I am new to the Calvert County area. I just bought a home with nasty-nasty carpet stuff (that I thought were not so bad until after all the furniture were gone). The carpet area that was uncovered such as the entrance, the hallway, the part where your feet stays while you're sitting on the couch or where you walk in the bedroom on the side of the bed, the part of carpet that are being walked on, had dark brown to black nasty, grimy and oily stuff. I was already planning to get hardwood flooring because I couldn't stand the dirty smell of the carpet. Plus, it will be easier to clean and manage. But, after Rick worked on it today and used double strength formula to get the gunk out... the carpet looked better than it did. He cleaned it so well, it made the whole house smell better and cleaner. There were some areas that were unforgiving but it is so much better than it was. I feel comfortable now walking barefoot on my carpet. Lastly, I am so happy to meet Rick. He did such a great job! I will definitely use his services again if I have to. I am so thankful it worked out the way it did so I can save a little more money for the hardwood / ceramic floor and get a better flooring for my beach house rental property =) I am not sure if he accepts credit cards. Friendly staff, both in store, consultation, and the installers as well. Their upbeat attitude and overall willingness to work with us made the whole process less stressful. This in my opinion is their greatest strength. 2. Excellent pricing. We compared them with others both in the Waldorf area and the "big box" stores and their materials were better in terms of cost and quality. The installation costs were better than others as well and worth every penny. 3. Fantastic quality of work. The crew that came in and installed the flooring were extremely detailed and were very meticulous about putting the furniture and other items back where they found it. 4. They are a local business. We like to buy local to help out our community! Our experience: We first started looking into Carpet and Floors Market back in May close to the beginning of the COVID pandemic and we were looking into having our entire first floor re-done with hardwood laminate. They had just re-opened their brick and mortar store in Waldorf when we contacted them. We looked into them because of all the positive reviews they had, plus the fact that they were a local business and they did not disappoint! Kevin contacted us and was prompt, polite/friendly, and was safe. He measured the whole area masked with booties to make sure to keep my family and himself protected. The quote he had given us was the most reasonable for materials a labor. As I mentioned above, we shopped around and they were the best. We ran into some issues with our bank (completely unrelated to them) and it ended up taking longer for us to schedule Kevin and his crew to begin work. I had emailed Kevin 4 months later asking if the quote he had given us in May was still good. It was, and on top of that, they were still honoring the promotion they had as well (despite the fact that the promotion was long since expired)! The most surprising thing was that Kevin actually still remembered us when we contacted him again. Fast forward to the installation, and the crew that came in worked super quick all while remaining very detailed in the quality of their work. They were slotted to complete the work in 3 days for about 1500 square feet of area. They tackled an awkward pantry, half bath, laundry room, family room, formal and regular dining room, living room, and kitchen all in that timeframe. We didn't even have to move anything as the crew moved and replaced everything when they were done. They took particular care to ensure that our belongings were covered as to not get dusty from the work. We had other contractors come in to fix some electrical and pipe issues at the same time, and the crew was able to work around them without causing any delays! All the trim had nail holes filled and trim around the baseboards sealed to make the quarter-rounds and baseboards look like one seamless piece. Our overall experience with them was so great, we'll be going with them again for our stair and top floor hallway project in the future - no hesitations at all! If you're looking for top quality service and quality detailed work, you'll definitely get your bang for your buck at Carpet and Floors Market.
