Save yourself a lot of frustration and money and go somewhere else! They sell you on maintenance free flooring and a lifetime warranty, yet they don't stand by it. The installation is shoddy and done by the same people that do Home Depot's, so you can go there for a lot cheaper. The quality of the flooring is awful! We have had nothing but problems. It chips if you so much as breathe on it! You call them to fix it and they send someone with crayons that don't match the color of your floors. They give you the runaround and just don't care. Was there this past week and was fortunate to be with the salesperson, Ernesto Enriquez. We were there for quite a while and not only did he answer every question about what we wanted and was interested in, we found him to be very professional and VERY knowledgeable about anything regarding carpet and brands or names of companies and how it differed. We also found him to be extremely personable and enjoyed his company. We don't find that much in some stores. And we were all with a great sense of humor. We haven't finished our quest for carpeting the two bedrooms, it does take us some time. But looking forward to seeing Ernesto again. The carpet is satisfactory...however, the installation of the carpet was poorly done. It's been six months, and I'm still having to push down areas. The seams show in places. The padding was cut short in one room, poorly put down. Yes, it was their installer. I did try to get it taken care of when first done. After a few calls in, the installer came by and fixed a few things, but not all and the ones fixed did not last. Company never followed up to see if I was satisfied. read more

Just finished the entire process of shopping for and having installed new carpet for the master bedroom in my home. I have to share that I visited and got quotes from several places and just got a different vibe from the Abbey team. They were more interested in what I needed and wanted versus just making a sale. They did not push and there were no strange add on expenses. They moved the existing furniture and put it back exactly where it originally was placed. A supervisor showed up to ensure the work in progress was going well, but the team on-site was extremely professional and knew how to get the job done. And different than most firms today, they followed up to see if I was happy after I had a chance to live with the results for a while. I see that as extraordinary today and will return for further flooring needs. read more

The process with Abbey Carpet was good until installation. The installers are subcontracted, so they are not affiliated with Abbey Carpet. So be aware that you are not dealing with Abbey Carpet employees during installation. The installers did not speak any English, so we had no way to communicate. Even simple things like asking them to clean up was not understood. Pointing at poor work also was not understood. So we contacted Abbey Carpet to ask for someone to come and see the installation issues, however they never came. The installers did not think that it was their responsibility to clean up the carpet scraps and fuzz that they leave after finishing a room. They moved furniture back and put it on top of the shreds of carpet and mess left from trimming. We asked them to wait until we inspected the install and cleaned, but they did not understand and continued to work every room the same. The seams in the carpet were also terrible. Very visible from far away. They even put a seam on the stairs. Which Jake at Abbey guaranteed me that no installer would ever do, but they did. Two days later when the installation supervisor came out, he acknowledged the seam on the stairs. But only after denying it a few times and we were persistent that we are not seeing things. He even said it was a defect in the carpet before he finally said, yes it is a seam on the stairs. During installation, the carpet was kept in our garage and it was cut to size there before taking into the house. So the garage was a complete mess with dust, carpet scraps and fragments everywhere. The installers left all of this for us to clean up. However they did not leave any left-over pieces of carpet. They did not ask if we wanted to keep it, they just loaded it in their van and left. The other thing that they left us with was a toilet full of human waste. Apparently flushing is not something that Abbey Carpet requires from their subcontracted installers. The worst part about all of this was the lack of accountability from Abbey Carpet. We explained our horrific experience to 4 different people at Abbey Carpet and no one ever said "we apologize for your bad experience." They only said, we will replace the carpet and define it as a manufacturer defect. We were always treated like we were the problem. Beware when buying carpet. The carpet quality comes from the manufacturer, but absolutely everything else is on the installation. Anyone can help you pick it out and place an order. The installation is really what they provide. And in this case, Abbey Carpet fell far short of delivering a final product. read more

We spent a lot of time looking for an area rug, and Abbey had the best selection of any in the area, and the best service, AND competitive pricing.They will deliver the different rugs you are considering so you can view them in your home. And their delivery guys (father and son I'm pretty sure) are awesome - moving the pieces around so you can get a good look. Professional, helpful, respectful. They even let me keep a few rugs for a couple weeks so I could decide. There is a woman working there who has been there for years - her name escapes me now. She is a lovely lady with long gray hair. We had new tile installed on our bathroom floors and in our showers. Abbey did a fantastic job on every aspect of the job. The demo work was done quickly and they left no dust or debris behind. Florian, the lead installer, was a perfectionist and was a pleasure to work with. Dan Dupuis, our sales person and main point of contact, was absolutely amazing. He has a good sense of design and helped us pick our tile. He was very hands on throughout the entire job, not just during the sale. He went over and above to accommodate our needs, budget and schedule. He even helped us out on unrelated aspects of our project, and recommended people who could help us in other areas of our renovation. I have complete trust in him and would highly recommend him to anyone doing new flooring or remodeling. read more

Abbey has spent well-placed money on making this a carpet shopping pleasure. Interior lighting is great, and there are big windows to evaluate color in natural light. Aisles are wide so it's easy to compare samples by pulling them from display and placing them on the floor. Different grades of carpets are well organized so it's not a confusing task to choose between manufacturer's lines and various price points. And the young man on staff at the end of the working day was both pleasant and efficient. read more

Tremendous customer service! We were carpeting a small condo and after installation noticed a flaw in the carpet (either an installation issue or a manufacutered one). Abbey somewhat disagreed with our assessment, but, without us asking, agreed to replace the entire condo. No begging, no negotiations, no issues. This is putting the customer first! We bought new carpet for our bedrooms condo from Abbey Carpet. There was an initial issue and were told they would take care of the issue and would not charge us the remaining 50% until we were completely satisfied even to the point of replacing the carpet. The issue pretty much resolved itself after two months and we settled the remaining 50%. We were so pleased that we explored buying a upscale area rug from them and they worked with us to match the price that we had found on the internet. They were extremely pleased with the customer service and support. We would recommend them to anyone looking for carpeting or floor covering. read more

My carpeting experience at Abby started out very nicely, however, within four months of installation we began having problems with a smell in two of the bedrooms that received the new carpeting. Abby was notified of this. To make a long story short, it took 1 1/2 years to find the problem which was mold on the underside of my padding. After investigating things thoroughly ( by calling the makers of the carpet, the makers of the padding, mold inspectors, glue company, transition developers, etc), I tried to work with Abby to get this situation resolved. They made a proposal to me to redo the floors with tile which was going to cost me $2000 more than what the product/installation would cost me at several other local carpet stores. When I confronted the salesman about the inflated quote, he talked to the store manager. I was told nothing could be done about the quoted price, but if I wanted my money back for the original carpeting they would give it to me. I took it and had new product put on my bedroom floors from another dealer who was reasonable and did an excellent job. If the Abby Carpet installer had tested my concrete floor, he would have found that one or more of the products should not have been installed on our concrete floor. All carpeting has a warranty - make sure you read the specific warranty from the manufacturer before carpeting,padding, transitions, etc are installed to make sure it is done correctly otherwise your carpeting will not be under warranty if something goes wrong with it. read more
