From the first phone call we made to Alex he puts us at ease I had a 60th birthday with a county western theme and he served the best up scale BBQ menu i could have ever asked for. Matilda is his manager and she put all the final touches and helped made my celebration over the top. Omar was behind the bar, he was very friendly and professional and the rest of the staff helped keep the place bussed and organized. My guest can't stop telling me how good the food was and can't stop talking about the late night corn dogs . I wish you could somehow taste test by reading a review. This food tastes sooooo good. Pictures don't do it justice. There are many restaurants people go to and post on social media because the food looks pretty. So they take their time taking photos of the presentation and post up. Then once they eat it it's not as exciting as when it looked pretty on the plate. It pleases their eyes more than their stomach. This place is not like that. Their best sellers are the wraps...and there is only so much you can do to wraps to make them look pretty. But these wraps explode in your mouth and give your tastebuds a kiss once you take a bite. You gotta take another bite just to make sure you are not dreaming. Trust me, you will finish your wrap and really want another one even if you are already full. Alek(the chef) really creates masterpieces in the kitchen. Their menu is simple because he just creates quality food. All the ingredients that go into the food are specially made. They are in harmony with each other. Soooo goood! Give this place a try. You will want to hire them for catering once you do. In addition, their truck is soooooooo squeaky clean. Been following them on IG after hearing about them on the the MyWhittier podcast. So my son and I decided to give them a try, they are super friendly. They said the Short Rib wrap is the top seller and they recommended the Jerk Chicken wrap so my son and I decided to order one of each an split it. The Short Rib wrap was as good as I had hoped it would be but as good as it was I think the Jerk Chicken was even better! It just had so much flavor..Wow! This truck pulled up to my job site so I decided to try it out. I was very pleasantly surprised. I had the jerk chicken wrap, a salad, and a cookie. The jerk chicken wrap was ungodly amazing, and it was huge. The salad was pretty good but not stellar. The chocolate chip cookie was also pretty good. EXCELLENT customer experience and DELICIOUS food!!!!! We hired Alex and AB Off the Grid Catering for an event at our home in January 2019. After searching Yelp and going through several pages, I found Alek and his food truck a ways down, I was intrigued with his entire concept. His food looked fresh and unique. The idea of a food truck really stood out to me as a way to offer a memorable and different experience to my guests. Since we were celebrating a milestone birthday- I wanted it to be UNFORGETTABLE all around!! I went ahead and contacted Alek on a Sunday evening, inquiring about his catering services and his availability for my event date. I assumed I would hear from him on Monday, to my surprise he promptly responded that evening! I was very impressed with the fact that Alek took time to discuss with me exactly what my expectations were for our event. E.g. formal food service vs. casual, main course only or appetizers also. He really wanted to align his food and service with my vision/expectations for an ideal event! Alek helped me determine my food truck menu and mezzas (appetizers) options. He offered great suggestions and was very accommodating with tailoring the menu/options to help us stay within a specific budget. The day of the event, Alek and staff arrived promptly and got to work! They set up our beautiful mezza table, linens and all!! Once the "truck" was open to guests it was a HIT!! Everything was superb and the staff was very friendly. They even cut and served the birthday cake!!! Literally, everyone was raving about the food. Since the party, so many guests have brought up to my husband and I how great the food was. Food, music, and cocktails make an adult party, right?! Cleanest truck you will see, delicious and surprising items to choose from. Not your regular food fare...jerk chicken wraps, Chinese chicken salad and the short rib wrap or taco are the best. We used AB Off the Grid Catering for my mother in law's birthday party back in December. I first contacted AB by text and received a text back immediately. All texts were responded to within a few minutes. They did their homework and drove by the house a few days ahead of time to figure out where they would park the lunch truck. On the day of the event they pulled up right on time. The truck was beautiful inside out. It is all silver with an Airstream look and feel. Oh and it was impeccably clean. They invited all of us to get in and check it out. We chose to have a buffet style luncheon. They set up a table with domed chafing dishes. The presentation was gorgeous!! We had beef and teriyaki chicken bowls with vegetables, white rice and all the fixings.The food was DELISH!! There was more than enough food for all of our guests.
