From the start, Bryan was responsive, professional, and totally dialed into our vision. He walked us through the process, gave clear and honest estimates, and helped us make smart design decisions without ever pushing unnecessary upgrades. The tile work turned out beautifully--we chose a deep green, and every tile was placed with precision. The craftsmanship was top-tier, and you could tell he and his team takes serious pride in their work. Our new vanity was a custom piece, and Bryan made sure the installation was seamless. Plumbing hookups, leveling, finishing details--everything was handled with care and precision. Electrical work was another big lift. Bryan's team upgraded the wiring, added GFCI outlets, new vent, and installed new sconces without damaging any of the fresh walls or finishes. They even updated the breaker box labels, which I seriously appreciated. His crew was punctual, tidy, and respectful of our space throughout--drop cloths, clean-up, the works. The job wrapped ahead of schedule and under budget, which is pretty much unheard of in remote areas like Cazadero. If you're looking for a trustworthy, highly skilled contractor who delivers on both craftsmanship and communication, Bryan Walker Construction is the one. We're already planning the next project with him--and I wouldn't dream of calling anyone else.

Chris was very responsive, and when he arrived, he saw the scope of the job was much more complex than originally planned.... Upon removing the microwave, he discovered that our kitchen contractor had negligently set up our kitchen venting into our attic, a major fire hazard. Chris took things step by step. He got into our attic, and hooked everything up safely, as it should be, to our roof vent. He also properly secured the new hood, with a clean stainless steel backsplash. Now, our kitchen works as it should, and looks like a dream. No smoke alarms going off when we use the range! And all is safe for the family! Check out the photo. Chris is a true perfectionist. Kitchen had new cabinets, but the counters and old sink were just an eye sore and not functional. New the area, I looked on Yelp for local contractors and came across Redwood Empire Construction. He helped take some measurements and talk through our vision, and then worked with our schedule to find a time to shop for the countertops. Tyler made that process fun and easy as he kept track of the different samples we were interested in, and then helped us narrow down to a look that was within our price point and complementary to the rest of our home. Tyler coordinated the work including installing the plumbing for our new sink and all was completed exactly in the timeline estimated. Outstanding! I've been a painting contractor for over 20…read moreyears, and in the building trades my entire adult life. In that time, I've worked with dozens of building contractors throughout the bay area, and have gained a lot of insight to the type of builders who know how to manage and execute a high end project. Several years ago, I was asked to bid on a project for McNeil Construction in Sonoma County. The project demanded excellent execution towards a full home remodel, and the client was very particular about the details. Brad McNeil oversaw and facilitated all phases of construction and remodeling to meet the satisfaction of this very critical client. Brad McNeil is a rare man who understands the value of each step towards a goal. The design, project coordination and execution required a great deal of research, follow-through and consistent quality in materials, management, and construction. If corners are cut, the end result suffers more with each following step. However, people like Brad consider details to be as crucial to the project as its outcome. Through his dedication to the job, down to the exact detail, Brad consistently demonstrates that the drive behind his company, work ethics, and his extensive experience is to ensure that the client will be ecstatic with the results. I would absolutely recommend McNeil Construction to anyone who needs the talents of an honest, knowledgeable and dedicated building contractor. Brad's hands-on approach to managing a project is the prime example of his expansive skills. His experience and communication in the field of construction allow him to personally ensure his clients get lasting quality, from consultation to estimating to final construction, and everything in between. The clarity, transparency, along with the progress and final outcome, also let his experience shine. I currently work with several building contractors, but Brad deserves my highest recommendation as a true professional in his field, driven by his personal satisfaction of a job well done and the satisfaction of seeing the client's expectations come to life.
