This was the worst delivery and installation experience I have ever had…read more 1. The ChatBox time estimates were wrong. It was first stated as being at about 1:05pm. The crew actually arrived closer to 2pm. Not a huge problem. But don't offer a service that is this undependable. 2. When the crew arrived to replace our old dishwasher the crew leader informed us that they couldn't do the install because we were supposed to have the old one disconnected from water and power before they arrived. No one told us that. They eventually decided to disconnect our old one and proceed. 3. They said they couldn't install the new one because they needed to secure it with bolts that screwed into the countertop! The countertop is quartz (like many others) so that was not an option. I told him that the new one had screw openings inside the front door that allowed the unit to be screwed into the wood cabinets on either side of the unit. He said it did not. I went to his truck and showed him clearly where they were. 4. Then he said: we can't install it because our old one was hard-wired to the electric and they could only install ones that plugged in. Again I told him, that no one at Big Sandy had said anything about that. He called his supervisor who told him that, yes, he could connect it to the hard wired circuits. I had the electricity turned off to make sure this could be done safely. 5. At some point, he or his assistant connected the drain hose from the new unit to our drain hose that goes to the garbage disposal and drain. Much later I found out that they had not tightened that and it leaked a lot of water. I had to tighten that to correct their error. 6. Finally he said they couldn't install it because the new 6-foot water supply hose would not reach, even though the old dishwasher had used that exact length. He said we would need one about 10 feet long. (As far as I know, no one makes one that long.) 7. At this point, it was determined that this install crew could not do the install. As they were finishing up to leave, they put wire nuts on the bare exposed electrical wires from the house, that would have been used to connect to the new dishwasher. After we decided to get an electrician to install the dishwasher, we found that most of the kitchen outlets were inoperable and kept tripping a GFI on a wall outlet. For nearly two days we had no cooktop, trash compactor or handy wall outlet, in addition to having a dishwasher standing, disconnected in the middle of our kitchen. The electrician showed us how the "installers" put the ground wire inside one of the wire nuts with one of the hot lines! If they knew THAT LITTLE about electricity, I was glad that they had finally found an excuse NOT to install the unit. (Photo attached.) This install crew (from Zeke Home Improvement or some such name) did not want to be here from the minute they stepped into our house. I can only assume they are paid by the JOB and not by the HOUR and are only interested in doing quick in-outs. They were not qualified, equipped or interested in doing what was needed. We had to hire a professional electrician to come and do what they could not.

The owners are decent people. 12/17/18 XXXXX I debated with myself whether or not to write this letter. It changes nothing but I have to get this off my chest and make sure you know. I waited a couple days to write this so I could formulate my thoughts without emotion clouding my judgement. First let me say thank God for ZZZZZ. We will come back to that. I have been a lifelong customer of your business. I probably was among the first 100 or so you had,You had a small garage. up on a hill owned by your Dad. You, YYYYY and WWWWW were the ones I remember working there. I was sent there by Pat Patavan who was the rep. for Denon. I had called Denon and he recommended your business. And I think you had been featured in Car & Audio Magazine, the name of the magazine is fuzzy. I remember in particular that I bought a Petras Subwoofer and you guys built a 5th order bandpass box. That was my first install with you and I remember your Dad came by when you were tweaking the tuning and said that you, XXXXX, had done a good job. I think that was in 1990. Every new vehicle I have had since then Audio Crafters has done the install, and sold me the necessary products to make it sound good. Yes I know the name has changed but you will always be Audio Crafters to me. That has been 27 years. I am a lifelong customer. Friday, Dec. 15th 2017, I came again with another new car for yet another install. I spent another 900.00 plus dollars with you, over the years I have had to have spent several thousand dollars at your business. Friday I was treated with a total lack of respect. I was made to feel as if I didn't matter and that all I was was a dollar sign. I spent the entire work day there and I was not permitted to go in to the shop to check on progress of my install. I have always been able to do that. So there was a rule change and I respected that, not happily but I respected that. It wasn't if I was going to do anything or touch anything. I just would have like to have known how the install was coming along. My time is as important as anybody else's; actually it should have been more important than a first time customer. I sat there all day, I mean from the start of the day till the end of the day not knowing. No reports from the back, nothing! I don't even know if they were working on mine the whole time? How would I? One time VVVVV came out to show me where HE thought a switch should go, he let me go look, unhappily, to the back to peek. I was given like 5 mins. tops. The front seat was full and I had to kind of imagine where he meant because he had that piece of the dash in his hand. It would have been nice if I could have sat down and checked to see if I could get to this switch easily. I was unable to do that. VVVVV assured me that it is against the rules mentioned the sign on the door. Don't blame VVVVV he was following policy. So I was sent back to the waiting room again to wait and wait. At one point I fell asleep. I know that because I snore and another man in the theater area mentioned that. The end of the day rolls around and ZZZZZ tells me they are just about finished and I should pay him which I did. 5-10 mins later VVVVV drives my car around front and tells me that it is not finished and that UUUUU,the head installer, had went home. I was livid, as was ZZZZZ. Mind you UUUUU didn't think it necessary to come to me and tell me this, maybe to see what could be worked out, he just left. Is that anyway to treat any customer, let alone a lifetime customer??????? I drove a 120 ish miles round trip to get to get to you. So I am mad, ZZZZZ is mad and ZZZZZ (I told you we would get back to him) has VVVVV drive my car back around to the garage to see if he and VVVVV can figure anything out. At this point I walked back and was told to leave once again, new rule and all, mind you there is nobody there at this point but me an VVVVV. So again I left again unhappily and went to the theater room. ZZZZZ, bless his heart, goes back with VVVVV and works on my car. I don't know who did what because I wasn't allowed in the garage. Eventually ZZZZZ comes and gets me and says they had found and fixed whatever the snafu was. I took ZZZZZ at his word. At this point I am permitted to sit in the car while ZZZZZ tunes the LCQ and amps. Does my car audio sound the best it can?? I don't know because it was tuned by a salesperson, a wonderful caring salesperson but a salesperson none the less. If he were the expert installer you would have hired him to do that. UUUUU is the expert installer that went home, he came back but did not help tune anything just watched. I was livid but there was nothing I could do. I had already paid with my credit card. Thank goodness ZZZZZ knew the difference btw. a customer and a Wallet. No way to run a business. I was ashamed for you.
