It was definitely busy, which is always a good sign, but the atmosphere still felt welcoming and relaxed. We ordered a hot vanilla cappuccino, served in an awesome oversized mug, and a hot Americano. One of our favorite things was the covered, misted patio--such a great spot to sit and enjoy your coffee, especially in the Arizona heat.

It has an English feel about it. Staff are very nice and welcoming. I decided to try one of their homemade blueberry muffins. The muffin had a streusel top. I helped myself to one of the containers of lemon water. Tap water is also available. I sat in the nice plaza full of pomegranate trees. It was a bit warm as the fan missed where I sat. I would definitely return and try something else. Their pastries looked very tempting. Shared parking lot.

The butternut squash omelet is also a favorite. I don't know if they make their sourdough bread there, but I've never had better. We grabbed some pastries to go this time as well, so I can't wait to try them. It gets busy but they really hustle to keep everyone happy.

My wife was turning 40 and instead of doing something ON her birthday I wanted to do a "killing off her 30's" Dexter themed evening the night before her 40th. I asked for a simple clean white fondant cake with blood spatter dripping down the side and a knife sticking out of the top. They absolutely NAILED it! I was seriously impressed with the attention to detail on the blood spatter as it was darker deeper red like actual blood pooling and not the comic book red you normally see in something like this. INCREDIBLE job! Oh yeah, the cake sponge was almond poppy side and I asked for both raspberry and strawberry puree filing and it was DELICIOUS on all accounts! I greatly appreciated that there was a lot of filling and not just a tiny little layer that gets absorbed by the sponge. FANTASTIC JOB you guys! A+++

I purchased 4 donuts and tipped, then turned around to look for a clean table to sit at to enjoy them, only to find that every table was dirty and occupied. When I asked if someone could clean a table, the owner told me, "you can clean it". I was honestly shocked. There were two employees standing there with nothing to do. I eventually went outside and ate my donut standing next to a dirty table. An employee then came out and asked me if I would like her to clean a table. I feel tables should be clean and ready for paying customers without having to ask. I love the donuts, but the management and cleanliness really need attention.
