The Home Depot has brought a ray of warmth and assistance lately. Imagine someone saying that about…read morea hardware store?!? I'm serious though. Twice recently I've been to The Home Depot to purchase lock sets. The trips were for two different purposes and on each occasion, Scott did a superb job helping me. I was so pleased when I walked away today that I could have hugged him. Here's how awesome he was today: I needed to look at upgrading my deadbolt and some other exterior locks. Apparently, the deadbolt didn't need to be upgraded. He taught me all about the inner workings of my smart-lock deadbolt and even threw me some extra spare keys they're overstocked with and the department doesn't need. Our conversation was informative, helpful, and personable. He also taught me about general smart lock doors and demonstrated how I could use and re-key each of them. Seriously, above and beyond. This location also hosts free workshops. Examples: Menu Board, Easy Bath Updates, and making other home decor. Did you read that? They are FREE. So for someone like me who likes to do it myself, but doesn't always know how, I can learn for free and not ruin all my walls through trial and error. Finally, I recently got in-home estimates for upgrading my windows. I was going to go with Lowe's -- they're actually cheaper, but the Home Depot service was better all around. I've had the estimates and inspections and will not be doing the installation immediately, but now that I'm so impressed by how Home Depot's staff literally explained the whole project management process and has a great digital system for communicating to the customer, HD is where I'll go when I'm ready. Thanks for helping me #Adult and feel good about it.

When I started loading it into my vehicle at the curbside (just outside the garden area), the store manager Dave came up to me and graciously offered to help me. The person in the store was unauthorized to make a sale without consulting the owner. They assured a call back. Days past and I called them and finally got a callback a week later. We agreed on terms and I got an install scheduled for July 20. Installer (owner) arrives gets the old machine out and new one installed to test. Error code comes up that could not be resolved. I inquired about other options but everything was sold. The only diagnosis was an error code indicating to contact whirlpool. A week later we had a service person come to perform a warranty repair. They needed to order a kill switch. It took over 3 weeks to get the part. They come back to install and it is missing a $2 bracket to install the switch. 11 days later we have a working dishwasher. We were without a dishwasher for about 2 months. The savings was not worth washing a lot of dishes by hand for 2 months. Also if we bought at a big box store they would have replaced the unit much sooner. I did also inquire about an additional discount for my trouble, but only received snide remarks from Christina. Needless to say buyer beware. If you want an unprofessional amateur experience then discount appliance is the store for you.

BUYING my new Wolf Range was the easy part. The sales person was helpful and accomodating. It was…read morethe DELIVERY that was a nightmare !! First of all, I was charged an additional (on top of the regular delivery fee) $150 for a large appliance fee. One would think that this would ensure that a smooth and professional delivery would ensue. The 2 guys who delivered my 48" range were clowns to say the least. They put the range up "on one end" and my heart just sank. By the time they got it inside, one door was scratched. Plus who knows about the guts of the range. We filed the damage report and here it is 4 weeks later and the technician has come to replace the door only to find out that something else (a hinge?) was damaged and that needs to be ordered as well before the repair can be fully completed. Also, technician said that the installer should of "leveled" the range. The DID NOT !! What was that extra $150 for ?? I wouild think that a refund in that department is due to us. I am so glad we chose to buy our other new appliances elsewhere.

The salesperson who assisted us did not know the status of their inventory, quoted a 3 to 5 week deliver (when our washer had just failed), and outrageous prices. She was the most unhelpful person ever. Plus, the noise was deafening while they were doing repairs. No one was friendly, no one went out of their way to help us. AVOID at all costs!!!!! We went to Home Depot, found just the right washer for a great price and delivery in 3 to 5 days. I will NEVER go back to Garner Appliance. Beware.
