The storms came in July and trees dropped everywhere, power was out. Our Electric Company came out to restore power and restring power lines where trees took them out. You would think they would see the Universal Septic sign I put right over the tank and field but they didn't, they drove right over the tank. I called Eric for help, he came out and saw the tank was crushed. He gave me a replacement estimate really fast, after all the communication was completed, he installed the new tank in just a few days. You can't ask for better communication, service and responsiveness. I had contacted 4 different installers and got a lot of delay, lack of return phone calls and over-pricing. I called a company I had used before, Precision Plumbing, and they said they could be there that day; however, later in the day, they asked if they could outsource to an affiliate of theirs, which ended up being Zoom Drain. Precision had guaranteed me an arrival time after 5pm; I received a text from Zoom Drain saying they'd text me 30-45 minutes before they arrive, and Precision told me Zoom would be there 2-6pm. I received a call around 2pm and they showed up around 2:30pm. Wyatt, the technician that showed up (there were two people, I believe, though) was able to quickly diagnose the problem and fix it. They were in and out within half an hour. The total price was $666 (ominous, ha) and that included the time and the work - they had to move both toilets to get to the pipes, my fiance said (I was working downstairs during that time), unclog both, and then put both back. Would use Zoom Drain again - I see they're in Clarkston, same as Precision Plumbing (Troy area, but their tech was in Clarkston that day too), but they were able to come to my fiance's house in Farmington Hills which was nice.

I had previously used brinker plumbing and was satisfied with the service and cost. Since I last…read moreused them they were bought by Kotz heating so when I had a few plumbing services needed I again called them. This experience was a total disaster. The tech that was sent out refused to repair a leak in my built in whirlpool tub drain stating parts were no longer available and I would need to replace the tub. So I then bought a tool needed to unscrew the tub drain strainer and used some new plumbers putty to reseal the drain, TUB FIXED. Also needed a 3/4 inch copper valve replaced and was given a quote of $341.00. I decided that was way to high and I would do the job myself. The total work time for me was 25 minutes and $14.00 for the valve. In effect I was to be charged over $600 per hour labor by the plumber!

I've used these guys exclusively for the last few years, and I've never, ever been disappointed. Jason was even very patient with me, as I was late getting away from my client to meet him. He sat in my driveway for 30 minutes waiting for me to get home. I've used cheaper "handyman" types, and other plumbing/heating companies, but I've never been completely satisfied. These guys even do bi-annual inspections to make sure everything is tip-top shape.
