I visit this store probably every 90 days and will find that a huge amount of items have been sitting at the same price tag for six months or more. Most of the larger furniture they take in is not in the best shape and priced over $150.00. This includes couches that have been torn up by cats and stained up. Still, I visit waiting for the occasional item that is just mysteriously priced very low. Be aware that they sometimes do have % off specials - but there's only one whiteboard at the front of the store by the cashier that indicates this.

Store hours are roughly 11-5 (Tuesday through Saturday, I think). But allow a little leeway on either side. Really helpful, friendly staff who are not pushy at all.

So the Pirate is tired huh....Well I'm going to get exactly what I want then. Our affair started with several trips to view a davenport, that's what my MamaToo called hers. It needed to double as a sofa and comfortable bed for guests visiting. Davenports tend to have boxy cushions that can be removed revealing a day bed sorta thingy. I went maybe three times over several weeks. It was an investment afterall. Katie was there from the beginning to help, no pressure...take my time...she'd send pricing quotes for different configurations and pictures, did i need a swatch sample? I gave my orange retro couch the old heave ho and passed it on to a herb smoking musician and have never looked back. Next came the side table a few months later Then they had a warehouse sale and we bought a sideboard ( Ohhhhh I love that piece) then another side table for whiskey for the pirate.... a few small gifts for friends over the years from their in-store selection and various pop up shops they host. Katie was my gal.....who put up with my thoughts and hesitation to invest.... never any pressure Then I bought a new dresser (I dragged my old one onto the side of the road, helping a man load it into his truck....hey...why I am loading it.....) and then I bought a slim book case that I had been eyeing for months was snagged at their showroom sale. Of course I needed the nightstand match now....so I bought that. and then one day i looked around and I was finished...no more to buy....no more...nope.... Over the last 3 years I have loved everyone and my darling Katie..... AND then my gal hooked me up for a VIP sale..... probably the best deals ever and since dear Angelique needed a desk, I picked up a desk top and a single chair......and a market umbrella for future festivals and what not. They didn't have tons of gift items when I was there. But they did have some pretty amazing modern house decor. As befits a store selling modern furnishings everything was clean and well laid out. The store was easy to move around in and everything was clearly marked. The staff seemed to be in a meeting when I arrived (30 minutes before closing) but a salesperson did offer to help me and the one other customer in the store. She checked back in with me while I browsed but was definitely not pushy. I really want/need the copper chair they had on display...but first I'd have to figure out where to put it.

My OCD self has compared prices and they are always the cheapest with good quality furniture. Everything from picking it out in the showroom to delivery is efficient and smooth. As further proof my mother has purchased an l-shaped microfiber sectional, two microfiber recliners, a microfiber chair and ottoman, a circular marble dining table and matching wrought iron chairs. Meanwhile to furnish my new condo I have purchased abroad leather sofa, a black and brown pub table with two chairs, and am contemplating getting ether a leather recliner or leather chair with ottoman. I was really nervous at the beginning because I have no design skills whatsoever and thought I would be overwhelmed with choices but she made it so easy! She really listened to what I said my basic style is and, knowing my fear of too many options, was able to show me a few specific examples for the end result. On a…read moreSaturday of February 28, I visited The Green Project, a salvage store facility in New Orleans where all items are donated. I've been a customer for over 5-years and have made many donations as well as many purchases. I intended to buy a pallet of flooring; I gave my credit card to the cashier to pay for the flooring; I made a hasty decision because I was leaving town in a few days, then I changed my mind. On Sunday, the following day the stored was closed, I made contact with one of the stores workers by the name of Jerome. I told him I decided not to buy the flooring and requested my credit card be credited back to me for the $1980. On Monday I called and asked if I needed to bring my card to the store for the 1980 refund. I spoke to the Manager by the name of Jasmine; she informed me that they don't give refunds. Of course, I thought that was ridicules because I hadn't even removed anything from the store and proceeded to call the credit card company and file a claim for the $1980 to be refunded. Credit One gave me a temporary refund, I left town a few days later, when I returned, I still didn't think there was a problem until May 6, 2026, the day my bank reversed the credit claim, and I owed my creditor $1980. Since then, I've made attempt after another trying to recover those funds and I have not been successful. At this time my credit account is past due, and I refuse to pay for something I did not receive. The Green project sold the flooring to someone else. The manager Jasmine told my creditor that I had picked up the flooring and also told them there was a large, posted sign stating, "no refund policy", but this is not true, there was no sign at all posted. The Green Project knows very well I did not pick up the flooring, and they should've simply refunded my card. Basically, this is theft.

This multiroom warehouse offers a plethora of bits and bobs from donated and gathered home improvement wares. One time I picked up an old door, an old timey facet head and some hinges. From these super economical finds, I was able to fabricate a garden gate, using the faucet as a creative spin on a traditional doorknob or latch. I love it. Recently, I eye spied, a partially used tub of tile adhesive and several random tiles. They'd be the perfect solution with someone with a tiny bathroom or counter top that needed sprucing up. You can find doors, windows, screen, light fixtures, tiles, wood, paint, and a whole host of parts that you can't pick up at any big box store. Think of the green project like a thrift store for your house or creative endeavor. Be patient and diligent, as it can be hit or miss.
