That's exactly what you get out of Hickory Heart. Not only those traits, but as I said - true craftsmanship that is really hard to find these days anymore. If you want cookie cutter and quick blow-and-go work, Kyle is not your guy. If you want real quality work that will stand the test of time and use, then Kyle is your guy. Believe me, I've seen the opposite of what Hickory Heart instills in their jobs, and for me - I choose quality all day long over the crap otherwise produced out there. Let's just say that Hickory Heart is the Lexus of the construction industry....You'll get Toyota quality and longevity, with the touch of Lexus luxury and attentiveness. And yet, NOT BMW/Mercedes stupid cost/prices. Be smart about what contractor (and car) that you use. Hickory Heart is that perfect blend. 5-stars without a doubt.

Needless to say my heart was broken not even knowing where to begin to get such unique piece fixed. I researched many woodworking reviews and company's and couldn't seem to find someone that I felt had the confidence to fix the piece. ...Until I called Tony, he asked to see it before making any promises so I took it to him. Incredibly knowledgeable with wood, finishes, etc... He said he would be able to fix it! I figured he would glue the pieces back together reapply a finish and call it a day making it look good. However Tony is VERY meticulous with his work and honestly when he delivered the piece I could hardly tell where it was ever broken. It didn't just look good, Tony's experience and passion for what he does shows-the piece is seamless and looks fantastic!! We have a few other pieces of furniture we got from Bali that we are also going to have him work on and without a doubt he is always going to be our first call. Tony, thank you so much for putting our piece back together. I appreciate all your hard work, I know it wasn't easy. Did I mention he is extremely reasonable?!!

Unfortunately when I moved, my desk could not fit into the room it was intended for (could not make the corner). It needed a creative modification. I contacted Tony and he came to take a look at it. Came up with a few different options and we both agreed that separating the cabinet from its base would be the best choice. Tony picked up the piece and within a week he brought it back. Now that the desk/cabinet can be separated into two pieces it fit perfectly in the room and even better you can't even tell anything was done to it. Thanks Tony! It was based on the yelp reviews that I chose him and I am glad I did! His prices seem reasonable but I did not get any other quotes for comparison.

At 10 am Wed. he emails me that he had a 'job emergency' and could he come the following day? Uhhh, No! The fact that he has absolutely ZERO disregard for other people's time - TWO days in a row- should be enough to make anyone think twice about ever doing business with someone like this.

He just completed installing 5 BEAUTIFUL window moldings for us and I couldn't be happier! Its important to point out that we had some major problems with 3 side by side windows that were not even. Rich worked long and hard to make the sizing problem invisible in his finish product. He even came to my house 4 times to make sure I was happy with the design insert that would hide the problem. I've included pictures of the windows mentioned above along with a close up of the design but the lightening is making the detail a bit hard to see. Take my word for it-its gorgeous!
