I had a Pinterest board with very specific photos I'd been dreaming about, and Nicole went above and beyond to make sure I got **every single shot** I had envisioned (and then some I didn't even know I needed). Her photos aren't just beautiful -- they're *alive*. She somehow captures the realness and emotion of the moment in a way that doesn't feel posed or forced. When we got our gallery back, it felt like reliving the day exactly as it happened -- all the joy, the nerves, the love, the little in-between moments. Those are the images that matter most, and Nicole nails them effortlessly. Also: Nicole is incredibly organized, which made the day feel calm and easy. My family and I have never done a family photo shoot and we were excited to at least get one photo for a canvas. We had no idea how to pose or what to do. Miguel was the perfect photographer, especially for people who are not experienced in getting their photo taken. We love all of the poses that he suggested. He was so funny and personable which helped capture some really organic smiles and happy moments. We also included our puppy in the photo shoot and he did such a great job capturing our dog and getting her attention as well. Needless to say we've gotten much more than one good photo that we set out for. I would definitely recommend MN photography to all of my family and friends and look forward to booking again in the future. What's included in the package is made unclear, so I never got what I expected. In addition, during the shoot he said that he could take my arm out if I had it on my kiddo and when I reminded him of this later, he said that was considered a complex edit and would cost money but they'd do it complmenetary that time. Had he told me this at the time of the shoot, we would have done something differently to get photos without me there in the background. Not cool.

I am VERY shy in front of a camera and was terrified to meet strangers and have them take engagement pictures of me in downtown Chicago. Within minutes of meeting Amanda and Jacob, you become instantly comfortable with them. They instantly become everything you need- a coach, a director, a comedian, and an overall HYPE team. I was laughing so much during the shoot that I ended up shaking all nerves and having a fun time. The best part of that is that they captured so many candid moments, which are so fun to look back on. Cut to the wedding day, I was so overwhelmed that morning. Having Jacob and Amanda (of course with giant smiles on) show up was like a wave of calmness on the big day. You felt like your friends were just coming over to help celebrate and happen to take pictures of you. Having them take the vow pictures and couple photos was a perfect experience. They knew when to feel invisible when we were having a private moment reading vows, and know when to step in to be our directors when it was time to take pictures. The reception was perfection because they felt like part of the party, but the pictures were AMAZING. They remembered certain pictures' we talked about as well- like a champagne pop in front of the neon sign at night. So while I completely forgot about that photo I wanted and was dancing away, they made sure to pack a bottle of champagne and sneak us off the dance floor for the picture we really wanted. What is even better, when you start to feel the wedding blues set in a few days after the wedding, BAM. You are sent preview photos. And I do not mean 10-15 preview photos, I mean 100+ preview photos. If that doesn't pull you out of the "wedding is over blues" nothing will! The way she was able to use natural light to create beautiful artistic photos was exactly what we were looking for. After getting in touch, we were able to set up an engagement photo shoot in a week's time. Even though it was last minute, Erika was able to accommodate us on a very cold morning in Milton Lee Olive Park - not a single complaint from her! There was a great mix of nature shots, intimate shots, and cityscape. She had great ideas for how to get exceptional photos, and entertained some of our bad ones (you can tell the difference when you see the album). For the wedding, Erika and her husband/second shooter did a great job both finding a venue for our first-look photos as well as organizing all of the after-ceremony photos. She was professional and made sure that everything ran smoothly. One of our biggest concerns was that whichever photographer we chose would be a focal point ("in the way") during the ceremony and reception. Not only did Erika listen to our concerns, but we BARELY noticed her during the events. If this impacted the kinds of photos she was able to take, we cannot notice. They are all phenomenal. And she was very prompt in getting our edited photos in the online gallery! We cannot recommend Erika enough. We hope she keeps it up, because we'd love to hire her again for any future events.
