We hired Kristina to do our engagement session and wedding photography. We were truly stunned with her talent. She is extremely laid back and makes her clients 100% comfortable with the cameras (in our case, Jon had a few glasses of wine before our engagement shoot to loosen up!). She is amazing at catching the "real" moments of your special day - she studied ecology and got her Masters in behavior which explains her amazing 6th sense of anticipating these magic moments. She listens to you as a couple to figure out what makes you tick before doing any shoots. She is able to realize what elements will truly reflect you two as a couple. She will do posed shots if requested, but the beauty of these shots are the little moments that you didn't even realize were happening. Wiping a tear, laughing uncontrollably during the best man speech, grandparents holding hands, little girls looking at the bride in awe, detail shots of everything from the floral to the table set up to the name cards to the appetizers to the event space. She and her team are constantly watching and waiting from different angles and lenses and locations to catch the true moments and true spirit of your day. Its those little moments in between the planned parts of the day that really make these photos come to life and set her talent above and beyond any we have seen before. The one thing you will have forever from your wedding day are these pictures, so don't skimp on the talent. Its worth it. We had two photographers for 10 hours. She took 2,000 photos and then edits all of them. You have the choice (which we did) to purchase the digital negatives. This way we are able to put them on both of our parents computers and let them print the ones they want. We also are finalizing our leather art book which Kristina is a master at designing. The perfect commemoration of our perfect wedding day! Not only is Kristina a joy to be around and ridiculously talented - she has fantastic ideas of where to shoot to capture the best of the best in our city. We shot our engagement pictures near North Ave Beach and in front of the Wrigley Building. On our wedding day she started in the suite with myself and my bridesmaids getting ready while Aaron took photos of the groomsmen. Then the first time Jon and I saw each other, both photographers were there to get my reaction and Jon's at the same time in Olive Park with luscious greenery and nature surrounding. A quick walk with the entire bridal party to overlooking Oak Street Beach with the city and the lake in the background. Our final offsite location was on Franklin Street Bridge to give us that urban city feel. We feel like we got the best Chicago has to offer because of Kristina's expertise and advice. Kristina is also extremely environmentally conscious and uses recycled paper for stationary and paperless proofs. I really can't say enough praises about her. Photography was our number one priority when choosing vendors, and it was worth every single penny. She captured our wedding in a way I've never seen done so beautifully. I would NOT recommend Impact Images to family or friends! We signed a contract with Impact Images…read morefor our wedding photography and wedding video back in August 2016. In both contracts it clearly states that all wedding pictures & videos would be delivered within 3 weeks after the wedding. We received our full wedding album & only the short wedding video 4 1/2 months later. Our video contract clearly stated that a full wedding video & a short film were included. We were told that the full wedding video was still being worked on, guaranteed us that all the wedding footage was saved, and that within a week we'd get the complete video. March 2017, 3 months after we were promised the delivery of the completed video, we were we are told that entire footage had been lost and will get a refund for the video cost. It is incredibly aggravating, sad, and disappointing we got the run around for months, and at the end, have no full wedding video. A wedding is such a beautiful and life changing event you'd want a video for. We're extremely disappointed in the lack of communication and lack of professionalism the videographer and Impact Images had throughout these last few months. We will no longer work with Impact Images.

I found certain aspects of the process difficult with my specific photography (I don't remember her name). We came to our spot early since I always value others time and I am typically early to appointments. My photographer, however, was 12 minutes late for a 30 minute session and I finally had to call her. Being a late afternoon appointment those 10 minutes made a difference with how much sun we had available for our shots. I was also disappointed in her ability to direct the shoot. I found myself doing most of the direction, throwing leaves and pointing out places that could make for a good photo since she was providing NONE. I would have expected this to be done by her, the photographer. She also spent a lot of time looking at the pictures she took and not shooting. I appreciate that I am not a photographer and so I know she is doing something I don't understand but she missed a LOT of great shots by not being able to shoot a ton of photos at once. She would take a photo, look down, take a photo, look down. I have done other professional photos before and she looked down more than anyone else. The positives: She was very patient with my child and had a great demeanor about her. She did make up the time from being late at the end of the appointment and never rushed us. Overall seemed like a really sweet girl. Working with company themselves also could have been better. I was always the one being proactive. I ended up having to reach out to ask where to meet and what to do and then I had to reach out again to get my photos after the promised delivery date. Perhaps I am impatient and like to plan but I would have expected them to be more communicative overall with their clients. Overall I do not regret doing the session but I wouldn't go back again.
