He had reviewed his calendar and informed me that their company had a opening for Tuesday between 8-10 a.m! I was surprised at the quick turn around for scheduling. I confirmed the reservation. There was a 3rd party company that came instead, 24/7 carpet, but the company did a fantastic job! I was really impressed with how clean the carpets came out. I called Aardvark affordable out to clean my sofa because my 15 year old Yorker chihuahua had an accident. They came out the same day which is awesome in my opinion. The service tech was on time and very nice. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is bc the tech was kinda sloppy and had water all over my brand new vinyl wood planking floors and I had to go behind him with a dry mop and clean it up, and the urine smell did not completely go away. But my sofa looks amazingly clean. When Hal called the next day to follow up on the service I told him about the odor and he told me how to get rid of it with a vinegar and water solution. After over a year of being stuck at home my carpet was in dire need of some TLC! So many businesses have struggled during the height of the pandemic, so I really want to support our local small businesses. I solely relied on the reviews in Yelp and was a bit trepidatious, but Aardvark Affordable did not disappoint! The owner, Hal, probed for the scope of work that I needed done and quoted me a fair & reasonable price - $129 for 2 small bedrooms, a master bedroom, flight of 10 stairs and a small landing area. The tech, Austin, was on time, respectful of my property and most important (to me) he was friendly and easy to get along with. Austin had me show him the areas to be cleaned, and he described the work he would be doing. My carpet was pretreated for the high-traffic areas and power-scrubbed - which bigger name companies charge extra for. The best part of the whole job was how thorough Austin completed the extraction part because it seems to make all the difference in the time it takes for the carpet to be fully dry. No joke - most of it was dry a few hours later & the high traffic areas were good by the next day. After the work was completed, Hal followed up the next dat to ensure everything met my expectations. The high traffic areas look like brand new carpet. Dog stains are all gone and my carpet smells nice for the first time in a year. The price was very very affordable. I am a little confused by the abundance of good reviews, because my experience was not very good at all. The guys did three carpets and an area rug. The area rug still smelled like pet urine after drying, and the other carpets felt slightly crunchy like they still had cleaning product on them. Also, the techs did not wear masks over their nose/mouth- just their chins. Additionally, they invited an older woman to my house who met them outside where they loudly argued. It was very bizarre. I found this place on yelp and I thought they did an amazing job! We had a pug a few months ago before he passed away and unfortunately had had an accident on the couch. It had tons of dog hair (because Pugs shed endlessly) and so we figured it was a great time than any to get the couch clean. The gentlemen who came to my apartment were amazing! They were able to get everything together in 1 hour if not less and were extremely kind and professional. My fiancé came home and saw the work that they had done, and they looked like brand new couches. Mind you, I've had them since 2010 so they're at 7 years old. We had 2 rooms in the house that had fifty carpets from previous tenants and they were willing to come clean them for us! A lot of companies won't come to do your carpets unless you want a minimum of 3 rooms cleaned but they quoted us a great price for our 2 rooms and were extremely friendly! Austin called 30 min before he arrived and when he showed up he got to work right away. He was friendly and he did the most AMAZING job. Now our carpets were filthy! Disgusting! Hiring a professional gave me the opportunity to add specialized services to the package, such as spot stain removal, preventative stain treatment and tile and grout cleaning. Right away Aardvark Affordable cleaner offered me customer loyalty discounts and general discounts for using Yelp. The joy of hiring a professional is having someone else do the dirty work, they quoted me $89. The actual cost was $150. Still really cheap! My dog soiled my carpet so they used a pet enzyme to eliminate pet odor. Thank God for aardvark carpet cleaners. I called them they scheduled an appointment to come out to my house the next day. I like Aardvark Affordable carpet cleaning because I slept through the whole process. The cleaner came in steamed my carpet. Moved my furniture, and locked up after his self when he was done.
