Like many of you, we're all getting frustrated with the raising costs of our network providers. I recently bounced from Comcast to Spectrum for my internet and phone but was unable to get an alarm system with them. I did contact ADT Security and found them to be just as "pricey" as Xfinity/Comcast. I was lucky to find an Independent Alarm company right here in the villages with a monthly monitoring fee of ONLY $ 27 a month. That did not include the installation fee, of course, but I felt long term it was well worth it. The name of the company is Village Alarm, 8241 SE 135th Street, Summerfield. Their phone # is 352-446-0278. I dealt directly with the owner, his name is Andre. He was absolutely WONDERFUL. He was kind enough to spend the time on the phone with me to give me an approximate cost for installation and how long the install would take. He was also here during the installation process today along with another gentleman, Dave. They were both extremely professional, courteous and respectful. It did not feel intrusive at all, barely even knew they were here. Please contact them if you are considering a home alarm system. They do camera installations as well.
