My utility pole on my property rotted and needed to be replaced, I called a few places many of which didn't install the poles themselves and would need it installed prior to them showing up. I called Integrity and spoke to Mathew and within an hour he was able to come over and give me a free estimate. Within 10 minutes of looking at it all he immediately knew what had to be done and with some back and forth between us we figured out I wasn't a professional pole installer or electrician. With a quote and a plan we were able to get the permitting done and the next day the pole/new panel installed. Mathew sent over Rob and Justin who worked in the rain and the summer heat tirelessly. They went above and beyond even switching over my internet box for me onto the new pole and checking all the wiring to ensure that everything would be cleared by the inspector and was safe!!! Always took good care of us and as far as we're concerned, Integrity Electric is our GO TO electricians. Matthew Gooden, while young, he's firstly conscientious and courteous. I wanted to share my recent experience with Integrity Electrical Contracting of Florida, Inc. I contacted Matt from Integrity because he is a part of my wife's business networking group (BNI). I recently converted my garage into a bedroom with a bathroom for my brother. The company I had used for that project had allowed unlicensed electricians and two licensed electricians to do the work for the project. We had no issues for several months but then had a circuit breaker that continued to trip. I did not reach out to the previous company that did my garage conversion because they subcontracted, and no one was going to accept responsibility, and I had lost trust in them due to other issues that had previously occurred. I reached out to Matt via text who was able to get me scheduled fairly quickly. Two workers came out and spent just under 30 minutes before diagnosing what they believed to be the issue. For those 30 minutes, I was charged $225 for the evaluation. I was not happy with the amount being charged and considered it to be high; however, I did not ask in advance what the cost would be and must own my mistake. I did message Matt and expressed my dissatisfaction with that, and he essentially offered a credit of $75 for the work that needed to be done; the price given for that was $625. I felt satisfied with what was offered, and we agreed to move forward. Two days later the workers returned and spent approximately one hour on the job. They were very kind and professional and all seemed well. Six days later the breaker tripped again, so I reached out to Matt who wasn't able to get back to me right away because he was out of town (completely understandable). Matt then personally came out to look at the issue and expressed his concern with the work done by the previous electricians, and said he did not want to assume liability which meant he would not be doing any additional work. I was upset that I had paid $225 for an assessment that was not thorough enough to catch something that was said to be visibly noticeable; there are a bunch of wires in the attic of the former garage that were said to be a mess from the previous electricians that even Marian County did not see as an issue for the final inspection. There were other indicators that previous work wasn't properly done which, in my opinion, should have signified the need for a more thorough inspection; this was reported by Matt and his two electricians. Matt did offer to give me 30 more minutes of his time but indicated he would not go past that; Matt shared he was advised by his father to leave to avoid taking on any liability. I wanted Matt to honor the original agreement, but he stated he could not and called his father, Robert, who owns the company. After some back and forth with Robert, he agreed to give me a full refund for everything I paid, and we agreed to have Integrity restart the project. Unfortunately, there was reluctancy to give me a quote and I was only told that it would be $225 per hour plus materials. I expressed concern about not having a more definitive number because that could theoretically lead to a significant cost. Matt shared that he thought the project would take between 2-4 hours, so an agreement was made. When Matt returned with two of his workers, there was a handwritten contract that indicated a refund of $550. That was short of the full refund we had agreed to because I had paid $775 in total; Matt was present for that conversation with his father. However, Matt disagreed with me about the amount and repeatedly said I paid $550 because I was given a $75 credit from the $625 quote I was given. I informed Matt that would be a partial refund because there was still the $225 from the less than 30-minute assessment. Matt said he would have to call his father because it is not his company, and he is not authorized to make those decisions. I shared with Matt that I wasn't happy and that he was "writing his own review." Robert acknowledged that we had agreed to a full refund and thought the $550 was the total paid; this indicates that there was miscommunication between him and Matt. Robert offered the full $725 but Matt, who had taken offense to my comment about him writing his own review, was upset and expressed that to his father. They then said they were not comfortable doing the work if I was going to leave a negative review. I informed both of them I would leave a review that gave an honest depiction of the experience. I was then asked not to leave any kind of a review, or they would not do the job. I said I could not agree to that because I did not know how the project was going to turn out. I needed a surge protector for my house as hurricane season was on us and thunderstorms were frequent. I called on Thursday after hours and Robert answered. He said he could do it Monday. I planned around it being done and it was done by Monday. I will add this - a small business does not always have the best control over their schedule and Robert had something come up, but when I told him I planned on his statement, he showed up. Regarding your response to me today, 2/7/2022, I did not distrust your ability to fix my electrical problem, but I did not feel comfortable with your emphasis on how you wanted to be paid or your wishy-washy estimate. I had the feeling I was about to be gouged but I had to get my problem fixed, no matter what. Time was not in my favor because my homeowners' association was on my back. The break in the line was located with the other electrician's equipment, and no trenching was involved in locating the break. I reiterate -- they used their equipment to locate the problem without digging. Ultimately, my yard was dug up (one time only) from the house to the lamp post which was completely rewired so I would not have a future problem. There is no contradiction other than what you assumed. My reputation regarding what? That comment is an unacceptable dig. Shame on you! read more

Found Integrity from recommendations on Next Door...and those recommendations were spot on. Robert and his son, Matthew, were both extremely professional, friendly and courteous. We had issues with a ceiling fan, three outlets that needed repair, a new outlet installed for a wall-mounted TV and two outdoor motion detectors replaced.
