He later acknowledged in a text that he performed no testing and instead relied on his experience and what other homes in the neighborhood had. For context, Doug had previously installed a 2.5-ton system in my ex-husband's home, which is smaller than mine, yet installed a 2-ton system in my larger home. I will be including a copy of his text with this review. The majority of the remodeling of my home had already been completed before the AC installation. After the system was installed, it did not properly cool one end of my home. Doug made multiple attempts to correct the problem, but none resolved the issue. The coils were also filthy for what was supposed to be a brand-new system. I am including photos of the coils with this review. During one of his visits, Doug also fell through my ceiling, resulting in extensive dust and debris throughout my newly remodeled home. In which myself and pets had to breath in for a month. This caused extensive cleaning. Doug ultimately refunded the cost of the AC installation and reimbursed me for the ceiling repair. However, between the lack of proper testing, the unresolved cooling problems, the condition of the supposed new system, and the ceiling damage, I was left with no air conditioning to my master bedroom and this ultimately cost me thousands of dollars more to get these issues resolved and have a proper and functioning AC system installed. If you are considering using Sensible Heating and Air, I strongly recommend making sure the appropriate testing are performed and ducts are inspected before any system is installed by them
