So I started a policy that would be forward dated into the next week. The dealer sold the car from under me even after I gave them the deposit and signed all the paperwork. I never had the car nor title! So at least the dealer have me my deposit back, but this crooked insurance provider refused to give me a refund on insurance that never had car associated with it. So now I need to take them to small claims court when a full refund would've been sufficient. Avoid this insurance company like the plague!

I have just been informed by a customer service rep and their manager that even though I canceled a…read morepolicy one day after I signed up, that I owe $157. This is because when you sign up for Titan, you sign up for a one-year contract with them. I was never told about this until today, 4 months later. They calculated that I owe $70 on a per day based on the remainder of my insurance coverage for the year which was $700 or so. Since I signed up on a Saturday at 4.45pm and called back at 5.15pm the same day to cancel and their customer service center was closed, I was charged $70 (plus late fees) for the 3 days it took to actually cancel the policy. Here's the fun part, you can't cancel a policy by phone. You have to sign, date and type a letter and then fax it to a department ALONG WITH proof that you have new car insurance coverage. And even though I did this on the Monday following my sign up, I STILL owe them $70 plus fees. In 20 years of driving, I have never heard of such a policy personally or through any of my friends or family. Geico is awesome though. Better pricing and 24/7 customer service. plus I had to cancel once because I couldn't afford the premium and I was not charged any cancellation fee.

I just got a letter from American family stating my rate was going up again for the 3rd year in a row. People I have no tickets, no accidents I did have a ding to my credit rating. So American Family decided to ding me by 30 bucks a month! ugh who told you to run my credit? Also what does that have to do with it? I have been a customer for 12 years with no late payments, no lapse in coverage, no tickets or accidents and this is how you thank me! I called Titan and the agent was fantastic, he gave me the exact same coverage for 54.00 less per month! I couldn't believe it was so much less. I was just hoping for the same price I had been paying before the increase. It pays to shop around and Titan will shop several companies to get you the best rate they can. They offer all kinds of discounts too. Like if you are a Costco member you can get a discount, if you do auto pay you can get a discount, then the normal home owner discount, and good driving record discount! Call them and get a quote it could save you 54.00 a month too :)
