Here is my story with Armor Insurance Professionals, and as I begin to write this I question if…read morepeople think that by putting "professional" in the name of the company, it makes them so? You can decide for yourself after reading my review. A couple years ago I was looking for a new Insurance Agent, it had to do with my son moving to another age bracket and my previous company's rule about how to manage that. At any rate I Was referred to this company and in particular Micah Brooks. Well everything went fine in the intake process, although it did stick out that he told me right then "I will never be contacting him for anything" claims went through another process and he was out of that..In the beginning it was a good deal, I saved some money and things were good. Last December however, my needs changed and I needed to change my coverage, for both me and my son, and rentals and dwellings. Guess what, Micah was not so eager to respond to e-mail...days would go by and nothing...I should have known then but, I had trusted him in the past and it appeared he did well by me. This time however when he finally got around to getting some answers, things were much more expensive he dragged his feet at every juncture. The day I needed to get my documents I had made an appointment, oops he forgot, had to go to another meeting which I suspected was an office lunch but I don't know. He mentioned that he would have everything waiting and ready all I would need to do is sign and pay. Guess what, nothing was ready, I sat in the office for well over an hour and 1/2 while the ONLY guy in the office answered telephones, greeted walk ins and tried to get me settled with my documents..Still I was thinking that happens. Then my mortgage company starts sending me notification of cancellation of insurance. Well, the change was in December, I notified them each time I received a notice January, February, March. Finally it was taken care of. Why am I writing this now? In mid April, i lost my debit card. For the last 2 months I have been doing a lot of traveling and work has been busy. On June 8th I got a notice an e-mail from Pricilla at 2 pm stating they had gotten a cancellation notice and please let them know if that was a mistake. I explained about the debit card. At 4:37pm i received another e-mail that they had cancelled and I needed to take care of it today. Well I saw the e-mail at 7:30. I sent 2 e-mails to the office that night to which neither has been responded to as of yet. So- back to my first question, does including the word professional in your name make it so? Well I have a new agent and guess what? They have e-sign, no need to go into the office and wait for hours...you know what else I am saving about 300 dollars a month so I guess I could thank them for not wanting my business, but I don't think anyone else needs to learn that the same way I did.

I have been a State Farm policy holder for four decades. I transferred my policies to Linda…read moreDyster's office, when I moved to Az a few years ago. This Spring, I discovered a leak that was seeping into the wall behind the shower. The wall backs up to the garage. That's were I discovered the water damage. I first called my agent's office. The person I spoke to did not offer to help start a claim but gave me another number to call. She also gave me the names of restoration companies. One of them came out and took some pictures and sent them to state farm. Long story short, State Farm denied my claim, without a State Farm representative ever coming to my home. The basis for the denial is that it was a slow leak instead of a sudden pipe burst. I don't understand why it makes a difference if a leak is detected the day it starts or months down the line. A leak is a leak. But State Farm has an exclusion allowing them to deny the claim. I called my agent Linda Dyster for help. She was not available during business hours. I left a message. She did not call back. I called again the following day - still not available. She finally called back. She basically said there was nothing she could do. IMO, I don't thing she actually tried or actually has any authority to help a client. I used to believe that having an insurance agent was of value. That is the reason I stayed with State Farm amid all the bad reports I've heard and read concerning State Farm's refusal to pay claims, since they had a CEO change several years ago. Now I see that there is no real benefit to having an insurance agent. In my opinion, they are nothing more than sales reps. Back to State Farm as a whole. They were once considered to be one of the best insurance companies. That is no longer the case, from what I've heard and read. In fact, I had reps from two other restoration companies (not recommended by State Farm) assess the damage. Both cited that State Farm is generally problematic to work with, whereas USAA is quite good. That is where I am now. The fact that State Farm refused to ever send anyone to my house says a lot. In my opinion, if you are a State Farm customer, you should look elsewhere.

Not only did they up my rates I did not even have the proper coverage. They were going to charge me almost $200 more dollars to get full coverage with glass coverage. I called and spoke with Gregg. In less than 2 hours he had a quote for me that not only lowered my car insurance, he also added my home insurance to the coverage policy, saving me even more money! It was so nice to have somebody local that if I needed to, I could walk into his office and speak with a "real" person face to face. I didn't get the run around of being passed from employee to employee. In less than 24 hours of my phone call, I am fully covered with Auto Glass coverage and Homeowners Insurance.
