I called this location for an insurance price quote after our car unexpectedly died & once we found a new car. They were about $1,000 MORE for the same coverage levels for Maphre Insurance. What a rip off, agent tried to tell me it was because we cancelled our insurance before we purchased another vehicle, so we lost our safe driver discount. I could have believed that if it was not the same coverage level or a different insurance company. Not the case! read more

The service at this location was friendly and efficient. Signage for two separate lines was a bit confusing. I was very happy to get my international drivers permit and also euros for travel. The most horrible AAA in Massachusetts! Went there to update my license with a name change. The woman helping me never took a new photo, used the same one from a year ago and never had me sign the new license with my new name, so my new license says my new name with my old name's signature! Make it make sense. Called to ask if I could come back to update my new signature and they said no, I need to make a new appointment to fix their mistake. Called and left a message for the branch manager and he never called me back. I've been to this branch many times setting up trips to take from their travel programs and you can hear the insurance agents talking at their desks so loud to one another it just gave low class vibes with a hint of ghetto! I went to AAA in Westwood in order to pay for my annual insurance bill around 12:20pm and they closed at 1pm. To my surprise, there were a few people ahead of me. By the time they got to me, it was around 12:51pm. I sat with the Insurance guy named Brendan Gross and that man was phenomenal. Despite the fact that Mr Gross' shift was coming to an end in a couple of minutes, Mr. Gross noticed my insurance spiked by a few hundred dollars. Instead of just having me pay the insurance as is since his shift was coming to an end in less than five minutes, Mr. Gross contacted MAPFRE to attempt to fix the issue. When the first MAPFRE representative refused to lower the payment, through Mr. Gross' training and experience, he knew to ask to speak to a supervisor/manager, and somehow got my annual fee lowered less than what I initially anticipated to pay. I typically never leave reviews but I don't want Mr. Gross' stellar customer service, his resiliency while speaking to the MAPFRE representatives, and his due diligence at such a limited amount of time to go unnoticed read more

After having bought Universal Orlando tickets on the web site for a small discount, i printed the tickets, i bought $150 tickets and added the fast pass tickets for about $70 more, 4 tickets for aprox $840 dollars, with tax $890. Upon trying to enter park, they said we only has fast pass tickets, not park entry tickets, i called AAA and they , the mexican women, said i only paid for the fast pass tickets, not park entry. After talking to a couple of supervisors, one of which was in the bathroom as he talked to me, continued to tell me i paid for 4 fast tickets for $890 dollar, i only was going to save $40 dollars with AAA, and now im out of $890 dollars, it was like talking to a foreign country, last time i ever book anything with AAA. Associates were ok but could of assisted further with getting my mothers registration completed since you can do everything on line. Thought by going into the branch the customer service would be better and more efficient but you might as well do it online if you can. I used Marie Kwash at AAA Westwood to book an all inclusive vacation to Aruba. Everything was okay while booking, I did have to ask for a revised itinerary & price after we made our initial payments. But then I had to cancel my trip because my dog got hurt. It was not easy to get my money back. I lost $250 per person for cancelling. Then when I went to use my $850+ flight credit she was giving me the run around. Tried to tell me I had to book a hotel with it. She also left for vacation without booking my flights, that I found for her. So I went to Pleasant Holidays directly & they said I did not need to book a hotel, I could book just the flight with my credit. I would not recommend booking with AAA. This has to be one of the best customer experience story. We went to this place with a renewal request for an already expired driving license. Even though it was already late on Saturday and the staff was all set to close in couple of minutes, upon looking the expressions on our faces and understanding the situation. They accepted us in and handled our application with best courteousness and professional manner. I could not thank them enough for their effort. So I've been a member for AAA for years and live in Westwood. Why haven't I been here before? Well, up until now I haven't been actually taking use of all that AAA does provide... which I regret. Thank goodness Showcase told me to stop by, since tickets for movies are somewhat a better deal here than at the actual theater. It amazes me how much stuff is able to be completed at an office like this, with even a section comparable to the Registry of Motor Vehicles (which there aren't any within a 10 mile radius). This review is strictly for the RMV portion of this location. The good news is that if you're an AAA member you can complete RMV services here on a Saturday, a day when no actual RMV branches are open in the state. Hooray! The bad news is that at least at this location, you will likely have to wait longer than you would at an RMV if you show up on Saturday. I completed my application to renew my license online, then needed to bring the rest of my documents in person for Real ID requirements. Showed up when it opened at 9 and there was a line of 20 people outside. There's a line to 'check in', and then you sit down and wait for the RMV. My name was called nearly two hours later at 10:55 am. The issue is they only have two people working the RMV services area, and it was a minimum of 10 minutes per person served (plenty of people gave up and left after they realized how long the wait would be.) Unlike the RMV, you CAN leave and then come back, but there's no modern queue tracking system available (a text notification when your name is close to being called would be nice,) or even an old school deli counter ticket system. So TL;DR, if you're coming here for RMV services on a Saturday, plan to stay a while. It might be faster if you try to come during the middle of weekday workday, but even in that situation I'd check the online RMV wait times first. read more

I came here to renew my license and have my picture taken as I was not willing to put myself through the aggravation of going to the RMV (ugh) I was pleasantly surprise when I arrived at 8:40am (they open at 9am) and did not find a line (YAY!) I was in at 9 and out at 9:10 feeling better than I did when I went in. FYI, That will never happen at an RMV branch if you didn't already know. Can't say enough good things about this office. There was a line but the three women in the office kept everything organized and moving as quickly as possible given the onerous requirements for the "Real" ID. There were enough chairs for all the people waiting. One of the women checked the paperwork of people in line so that when one actually got to the window there were no surprises. It was very convenient that I was able to renew my Drivers License at AAA but I did not think the manager was overly friendly. She dismissed me as soon as I got to the counter because I did not fill out the form which I did not know I had to do. I then filled out the form and she was still very curt with me. I looked at her name tag and it said she was the Manager! Some of these people are on a serious power trip. Relax you work at AAA not the registry. This isn't just specific to this AAA but it was the only one I could find on here. I was in a dire situation where I NEEDED a key fob battery to get into/start my car and they were refusing, telling me they don't provide that service. There's some problems with that: A. The last time this happened, a guy came with a battery and B. It's a car emergency and that's literally their job. It's the entire point of the company. Fine, maybe they didn't have that service initially, BUT they need to adjust according to the times. There are more and more models of cars now that rely on the key fob to work. AAA Westwood Registry service should have signage letting customers know what the required documents that are needed to obtain a license and real ID and have blank applications available for people who need them so there aren't delays when the customers get to the counter. The process at this location is not organized at all. Plus the Registry employees there should be more friendly. Overall my experience at this location was just ok. read more

I am getting rid of my auto insurance through AAA. They may be fine for RMV matters, but have consistently given me conflicting information, failed to remove a car from my policy, and kept me waiting on the phone for 20+ minutes. Great customer service and never any wait for RMV services!!!

After waiting in line for two and a half hours, I was denied a Real ID. This is despite the fact that I had the stub from my Social Security Card, the letter of transmittal from the Social Security Administration sending it to me (also providing the SSN) AND my Military ID which also has on it my SSN. I also had my Birth Certificate, my Passport, my DD214 (Hon. Discharge) and, of course, my driver's license. The clerk, who was very polite, brought the correspondence from the SSA and my Military ID to the manager for a decision. In both cases, they were not accepted. The grounds: Neither were listed as "PROOF OF A SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER" on the RMV "Identification Documents Checklist". I maintain that I met the requirements for issuance: I am a citizen of the United States and I live in MA and my SSN is clearly proven. Furthermore, the lack of a particular description of my type of documentation was an oversight. A reasonable exercise of discretion was warranted. I have been a member of AAA for many years. Avoidance of bureaucrats at RMV and its counterparts in other states has been a good reason. That rationale no longer applies. read more

Went there on a Saturday morning for an International License. It was quite busy. I loved that a person (manager) actually triaged what you were there for to expedite your assistance. I was in and out for my International License, including them taking my picture, in 20 minutes. This is a site that really understands customer service and best practices. read more

I have been here a few times for a few different things and they have always been SOOOOO friendly and so nice here. I got a TripTik through this location and they made sure to give myself and my friend a safe route to South Carolina! I have been using the AAA Norwood office for years. All the staff led by Donna H are excellent: professionally competent and personable. My last and final visit was to plan a cross country ( relocation) drive to California. After discussing the potential weather issues in December we decided on a southern route. Well, the drive could not have gone any smoother. 5 days, 3200 miles. Our city/town overnight stops were estimated perfectly by my travel guide (sorry can't think of her name). In addition to the AAA guide books for hotels, the online app "BringFido" not only locates pet friendly hotels but can make reservations via phone. This worked out well as we made hotel reservations only about 3-4 hours ahead of our arrivals when we decided to stop for the night. Back to my AAA Norwood team: they are great to work with. Best experience ever! I had been at the rmv waiting for over an hour when I read the sign that I could renew my license at the AAA branch. RMV said I was going to be another 2 hours (sigh). I came to AAA - Westwood to try to obtain a DOT Transponder. I was pleasantly surprised to find only a two minute wait. The AAA employees were very friendly, took my paper work, and handed me my transponder with complete instructions on where to mount it, how it works, and what to do if I have any problems.
