BEWARE! Do not pay Jason Shook until the work is completed…read more Last fall I hired him to do some brush removal, stump grinding and to trim a large pine tree. He completed everything except the tree trim and asked for full payment (which included the tree). He told me he would come back to trim the pine tree. Shortly after I paid him he got in an accident and broke his leg. He said he would come back to trim the tree after recovering. I was fine with that. I figured it would be awhile before he could do it. I contacted him early last month and he said he would come out to trim the tree that weekend or the following week and would let me know. I never heard back from him and now he is not responding to my calls or texts. Lesson learned, unfortunately! Don't pay until job is complete.

Great Service!! Had them remove some brush. They did the job on time and within budget.read more

REVIEW UPDATE: Working with Alex and his crew started off as…read morea great experience. The driveway looked nice at first, but within a couple of weeks and after heavy rain, cars and even people's feet began sinking into the gravel along, the gravel pushing out the retaining wall, sinking altogether, and ruts everywhere due to the gravel not being compacted. I immediately made Alex aware of the issue, and he said he'd come fix it. He never communicated a specific day, and when he finally said he was planning to come, I let him know I had a renter that day. After additional follow ups from me, he sent a quote for nearly $1,000 more to "fix" the driveway by rolling and compacting it, which is the exact work that should have been done the first time. I had already paid several thousand dollars for a fresh driveway, so being asked to pay extra just to have the job done correctly was surprising and frustrating. I asked if we could meet in the middle on the added cost, and after that, I never heard back from him. I also reached out within the warranty period outlined in our contract, yet the driveway was never fixed and I never received any communication about a resolution. Now I'm forced to file with the BBB and go through unnecessary steps just to try to get the driveway repaired. Unfortunately, this turned into another situation where a contractor doesn't finish the job and then ghosts you.

We worked through the details and by the end of the day Tuesday we were in contract. Work begin the next day on Wednesday. That is correct! In three days we went from first contact to the job being done! I contacted many other landscapers who weren't as responsive and took a week to come out, another week to get a quote and another month to wait for the work. Also, not all landscapers wanted to give opinions and ideas like Mike did. We worked back and forth on several ideas and concepts and Mike remained extremely receptive and responsive through the whole process to both me and my wife. His team of three guys showed up at 8:30am sharp as promised. They worked fast and efficient to get the work done. All three guys were very professional and polite and they walked me through what they were doing before they started. Then they set the plans and had me review it before planting anything. They were done by 3:00pm that day planting 62 boxwoods!

Chad immediately reached out, we had a quick call to learn more, and in just a couple days he was able to stop by my house and take basic measurements. For no charge, he was able to give me a ballpark in costs for some options to my backyard, which is all I really wanted at this stage and it has been so helpful. He provided some amazing backyard options that I had not considered before that are likely more in my budget than my original plan in my head! This conversation was so helpful, and I'll update my review as the project continues later this spring.

I am very disappointed in Brennan's Plants. They came to help us clean up our yard. We had lots of…read moreover grown weeds, bushes and trees. I was satisfied with the work. But since they left our ladder has been missing. We had a long ladder leaning against the back of our house. The ladder started at the ground and reached the roof of the first floor/second floor. The ladder was attached to the house. We used the ladder as a fire escape for the second and third floor. When Dave and his crew came he said he would have to move the ladder which we agreed was okay. Dave also suggested to my roommate that he would use the ladder to cut down some of the trees and bushes in the back. A few days after the job was done I realized that the ladder was missing. Several members of our co-op have asked Dave about the missing ladder. He is claiming that we never even had a ladder there. We used the ladder just a few days before he started work. There is no way he did not see the ladder. He had to move it to do the job. Claiming to have never seen the ladder at all makes this ordeal seem very suspicious. I just want our ladder back especially because it is a safety hazard for residents on the second and third floor who rely on it to escape a fire.
