This business gets one star from me because my first experience with them after having a break-in and needing an emergency repair was great! Unfortunately, they completely failed on a second job I called them to do.
Long story short, I asked for a dresser mirror for a piece I own in a vacation home. I gave them access to the house for measurements and learned their technician needed to come back to fit the draft template for the mirror. Upon return, it was observed that their technician had stolen over $7,500 in coins from my collection housed at the site. I worked over 2 years to reach Mr. Taylor for a resolution. He NEVER returned my call. I asked the office staff for information on how to file a claim on their insurance and, while the office staff tried to be helpful, they kept referring me to Mr. Taylor who NEVER called. I later assumed that there was no business liability policy upon which to file a claim to replace my losses. I eventually sent Mr. Taylor a demand letter and the threat of going to small claims court for a settlement. He has NEVER responded. I even offered him a payment plan in the demand letter! I am still within the window to file a court case, but I would like to think this business would do what is right by their customer and try to resolve this matter in an amicable fashion.
For any future needs, I will not be going to Taylor Glass and Mirror and would not recommend anyone else go there either. I am a small business owner and I understand the issues with these kinds of losses, but that is why you protect your business with business liability insurance to protect your business and your customers. I am not convinced that Taylor Glass and Mirror understands anything about protecting their customer or working in the customer's best interest. read more
