Extremely Disappointing Customer Service & Business Practices…read more After more than 10 years with State Farm, my family recently had an extremely disappointing experience with the Kyle Angelle State Farm office involving Tamara Dunlap, Jennifer Davis, and Rosetta Clinton. We contacted Tamara Dunlap about changing coverage on one of our vehicles. We were told that because both vehicles were on the same policy, we could not reduce coverage on one vehicle without creating an entirely new policy. When we later spoke with Jennifer Davis, she confirmed this information and assured us that our existing policy, discounts, and other vehicle would not be negatively affected. After making the change and paying for the new policy, we received multiple documents with inconsistent premium amounts, incorrect/missing names, and an unexpected increase to the premium on our other vehicle. When I contacted the office for clarification, Tamara was unable to adequately explain the discrepancies. I requested a meeting with management, which resulted in an appointment with Jennifer Davis and Rosetta Clinton. Unfortunately, that meeting was extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional. Rosetta Clinton was confrontational and repeatedly interrupted me while I was trying to understand the policies and charges. Jennifer was pleasant but did not speak directly to me during the meeting besides offering water and helping provide me a pen. She has always been pleasant in our interactions over the years. When I questioned the way my concerns were being handled, I was made to feel as though I was the problem for simply asking reasonable questions. When I ultimately requested cancellation of my policies, Rosetta laughed. After more than 10 years as a State Farm customer, I have never experienced this level of poor communication, dismissiveness, or disrespect. The overall interaction left me feeling that I was not being treated fairly and raised concerns for me about whether race played a role in how I was treated. I ultimately chose to end my relationship with this office. I hope State Farm takes this experience seriously, reviews how these policy changes were handled, and addresses the customer service concerns involving Tamara Dunlap, Jennifer Davis, and Rosetta Clinton.

I am fortunate to have connected with Tony from Kyle Angelle's office as he made this task less intimidating. Tony was courteous from the get-go and was a pleasant to speak with. He was patient and held a genuine rapport with me throughout the process. He answered my questions thoroughly and ensured that I was able to avail of all the concessions that I qualified for. Absolutely abysmal customer service. I do NOT recommend this agency, and I am a former client that…read morewas with them for almost 2 years. They will not get back with you about quotes or shops and pressure you to sign paperwork instead. It all began when I bought a new car. I called them and asked for a quote of how much it would cost to add my new car to my current insurance policy, as well as for a shop of the carriers they work with to see if they might be able to get me a better deal. They said they'd get back to me. I waited for a week and didn't hear anything, so I called once again. They said that somehow they had the incorrect VIN number and had left me a voicemail to let me know. (I never received a voicemail, and they had conveniently forgotten to write down the phone number they called me at, so there was no way to verify if they called the correct phone number.) I asked, once again, for a quote and a shop. They said they'd send me the paperwork to sign. I said no, I don't want to sign paperwork, I want a quote of how much it would be first before purchasing. They told me it was agency policy that I must first put my vehicle on my current insurance policy before being able to shop other carriers -- in essence, I had to buy insurance to be able to buy insurance, which is silly. In the state of Texas, your current auto insurance coverage is extended to your new vehicle if you're replacing an old vehicle on your policy for 30 days. (I verified this with Travelers insurance. The rep I spoke to at Mike Powell Insurance also admitted this when I pressed her.) I asked again for a quote and a shop, and the rep I was speaking with said she'd have to get Mike's permission to do so without adding my new vehicle to my current policy first (although legally, I was insured for 30 days, which had not yet expired). The rep called me back later and told me that Mike had given special permission for the quote and shop, but he also wanted me to know that it could cause a lot of "hassle" if I were to get pulled over or to be at fault in an accident in the meantime. (Still trying to convince me to sign paperwork, which I wasn't willing to do yet.) I then asked her how quickly they could get me a quote, and she told me it'd take a WEEK. I reminded her that I was on a timeline (30 days, remember?) and I needed the quote as soon as possible. She began to argue with me and I then reminded her that I had been asking for a quote for the past 2 weeks, and asked to receive the quote in the next day or two. She said okay, she'd put a "rush" on the request. Two days expired. On the second day, I called around 4:30pm to check on the status of the quote and spoke with the same rep. She told me that the agent to whom the quote was assigned had gone home for the day, they would come in at 9:00am the next day, and would then give me a call. I never received a call. Three days had now expired. Clearly, I was not going to get a quote any time soon. I called them again, and this time, I requested the paperwork to cancel my insurance. The receptionist who answered asked me why, and I told her that it was because I never received the quote that I had asked for multiple times. "Oh..." she said, "I'm sorry to hear that." She did not try to see if there was a way they could keep me as a client, or ask if Mike could give me a call, or remedy the situation in any way whatsoever. I called a different insurance agency and they got me a quote, as well as shopped with difference insurance carriers to get me the best rate, within 24 hours. I was very disappointed with the quality of customer service I received and strongly advise against using this agency for any sort of insurance needs.

This is what I wrote for your review:…read more Before I even finished with the national State Farm Agent, Kristin Touche of the Noah Labauve State Farm agency had already introduced herself by email to me. I found that to be impressive. Jennifer, the National Agent, was not pushy at all simply saying "I hope I win your trust". After three amazing hours on the phone, I decided to become a customer. Immediately, Kristin Touche, was there to welcome me by email. I had trouble completing my paperwork online because I am not up with technology so I was invited to complete my policy in the State Farm offices. I was greeted with smiles and I did more chatting than signing my policy. In fact, it was nice that Kristin Touche was excited to be insuring one of my vehicles which had been featured on film and tv. She said, I MUST SEE A PICTURE OF THIS CAR! It just so happened, also, that Kristin Touche and I have the same doctor making me feel like BFF's immediately. How often can one say that their insurance agent is their friend? That is what this experience has been for me. I am excited to be a new State Farm customer and pray to be for a long time. Lastly, Kristin Touche should be commended for her attentive care with me and, I'm sure, her other customers.
