There are some bad drivers in this town.

Been a member for years. Today I arrived to register two vehicles. They do certain DMV services but you have to pay by check or cash...no cards. But you don't have the hassle of going to the DMV! Plus the place was air conditioned! I could have stayed all day and looked at travel guides!

Actual bait-and-switch AAA offer of a beverage holder

BAIT-AND-SWITCH The Automobile Club of Southern California has been running an infomercial offering an annual membership for $55, waiving the joining fee, and offering a $25 Visa debit card. When I immediately went to their advertised website (aaa.com/tvgift), it had switched the $25 Visa debit card for a beverage container. This is a classic bait-and-switch scheme. I phoned the number they advertised (866-252-3480), and the customer service rep knew nothing about a $25 offer -- instead he offered me a "free" second membership. Another bait-and-switch scheme. I complained to AAA through a number of contact points. Only one responded, and I was asked to provide proof -- which I did by sending screenshots. AAA replied by admitting that the offer is valid, and that it can be obtained via their website. This is a lie, and it's the original reason I complained. They also explained that the beverage holder gift is a "substitute offer" (bait-and-switch). They also claimed that the Visa offer is a limited "while supplies last" offer -- but the ad clearly states it's a "limited time" offer. In either case, they should not be running a campaign that offers something that they already know does no longer exist. $25 is not a big deal, but it's very disappointing that a reputable company has to lower itself to deceptive schemes in order to obtain unwitting new customers.

Wow. Goodbye DMV. Registered my Volvo in less than 5 minutes. $76 for the whole year for my wife and I. Worth every cent.

I want to pay my car registration through Aaa but I cannot find the registration info the DMV sent me, do I need that paperwork or can the Aaa Agent look that information up?

In order to get my car out of impound, I needed to go to DMV, then the police station, and then the impound yard.
